The New Year's goods I bought included several packages of cured pork and sausages, as well as five frozen sea bass. After thawing the fish and vegetables, I added shredded scallions and ginger, steamed them for about ten minutes, and then poured hot oil over them.

Here's something I wanted to share. My family saw a large box of Hainan coconut chicken soup on a live-streaming app, priced at nearly 200 yuan. They thought the advertising looked good and bought two boxes, saying they'd specifically bought similar products when visiting coastal cities before. Each box contains chopped Wenchang chicken and bottled coconut water. You cook the chicken and coconut water together, and then dip the cooked chicken in a special sauce. Perhaps because it wasn't authentic, the soup, despite its high price, tasted rather ordinary. However, my family thought it was good, saying it was unique, and kept both large boxes so they could make soup four times.

Before the Lunar New Year of the Horse, my family said they didn't want to cook the New Year's Eve dinner because they thought it was too much trouble. But after thinking about it, we decided to cook it ourselves instead of going to a restaurant and having to wait. On New Year's Eve, it would be very busy, and it was hard to say how long we would have to wait, as there would be many customers waiting.

Before the Lunar New Year, we discussed some things. I told my family that we would make six dishes for the Lunar New Year's Eve dinner in the Year of the Horse, which would symbolize good fortune. Unlike last year, when we made too many dishes, some of them were thrown away on the second and third days without being reheated. Choosing to make new stir-fries seemed wasteful. However, my family still insisted on making ten dishes for the Lunar New Year's Eve dinner, which symbolizes perfection. They just said that some dishes could be made in smaller quantities.
