Chapter 539 Talking about Buddha

Chapter 539 Talking about Buddha

To receive the saint's visit, of course Xia Qingyang went out to welcome him in person.

"I have seen a saint, but I don't know why the saint visits?"

On the surface, the etiquette was acceptable, but Xia Qingyang didn't bother to be polite and asked questions directly.

The sage who receives and guides looks pained, as if he is worried about the suffering of ordinary people.

He didn't say what it was, just asked: "I don't know how Senior Nephew Qingyang thinks about my Buddhism?"

Xia Qingyang hesitated for a while, and then said: "The Buddha Dharma is vast, and it is all said by great wisdom."

"Young Master Honglian has learned the Dharma, which has also benefited me a lot."

"On the Lingshan Mountain, there are Tathagata Buddha, who is greatly enlightened and benevolent, and Bodhisattvas who are merciful and compassionate, which is admirable."

He only talked about how wonderful the Dharma is, how excellent the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are, but he didn't talk about how the Buddhism is.

This is where his attitude lies.

Who in this world can say that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's great ambition is not great compassion?

Who can say that Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who restrains himself and practices the goodness of Buddhism, is not great compassion?

Who can say that the Tathagata Buddha who carried the poison of the incense in Lingshan and the evil thoughts of Buddhism by himself is not great enlightenment and great kindness?
The examples Xia Qingyang gave were all people who even the Buddhism themselves couldn't say anything bad about them.

However, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas all came from Taoism later on. Even if the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva came from the original Western religion, they were excluded because of their incompatibility.

Then the question arises, who is Xia Qingyang looking down on?
That's right, he just looked down on those who used to be Western religions and now actually control Xiniu Hezhou!

In particular, it seems that Buddhism appears in an all-inclusive attitude, emphasizing the equality of all beings.

But in fact, Xiniu Hezhou has always been under the control of the Brahma tribe.

The Great Brahma tribe was once the central essence of Western religion, and its leader, Brahma, was the first disciple to guide the Taoists.

Among the Brahma tribe, there is also Vishnu who is in charge of practical affairs, and this is the disciple of Zhunti Taoist.

There is also Shiva, who is in charge of killing and fighting, and this is the disciple who guides.

The Great Brahma tribe has completely controlled Xiniu Hezhou. Although the Taoist disciples are in Lingshan, they have almost no say in Xiniu Hezhou.

Therefore, Xiniu Hezhou, as the basic foundation of Buddhism, has always been in the hands of its own people.

Xia Qingyang had asked Senior Brother Duobao about this situation before, so he could know how aggrieved this Buddhist leader was living in Lingshan.

The Second Saint of the West seemed to treat him well, but he never transferred the actual rights to him.

Because Xiniu Hezhou is also the west, and it is nominally managed by the Western Buddha Amitabha, and this Amitabha is the incarnation of the good corpse who guides the saint.

Grab territory with the saint?

This is obviously impossible.

The benefits promised to Duobao by the two sages in the West are the territory after the Buddhism is spread to the East.

Sure enough, everyone who is a saint is not easy to get along with. This is basically letting Senior Brother Duobao be a pig and dog while keeping the basics.

This is the case with the plan to drive away wolves and tigers.

The two Western saints certainly knew that these Taoist disciples were not trustworthy, but as long as they could be driven to spread the Dharma throughout Nanzhan Buzhou and even Dongsheng Shenzhou, then their fundamental goal had been achieved.

Everyone knows that Nanzhan Buzhou will become more humane in the future.

So the question is, is Daxing dominated by Taoism or Daxing dominated by Buddhism?

This is very problematic.

Take the current Nanzhan Buzhou Humanity as an example.

The Great Han Dynasty ruled the country with a volume of "Tao Te Ching", the emperor ruled by doing nothing, and ruled the world together with the scholar-bureaucrats.

As a result, the population and vitality of Nanzhan Buzhou began to recover rapidly, and the benevolence and chivalry of the Mohist (Jiejiao) prevailed, making this world become martial and brave again. This kind of atmosphere is almost visible to the naked eye.

Although the north is still infested by the Hu people, the potential and background of the rest and recuperation are already clear at a glance.

How can this kind of weather not make Buddhism greedy? It's a pity that such a thriving and vigorous human destiny seems to be in conflict with Buddhism.

Most missionary efforts to date have been thwarted.

After all, there is quite a feeling of lying down in Buddhist teachings.

Of course, it is the kind that allows people to accept the changes of the outside world with a more peaceful attitude, not to be happy with things or sad with themselves.

But the problem is that in this thriving environment, whoever is a Buddhist will fall behind!

After working hard for a year, the family's living standard has risen to a higher level.

If you recite scriptures at home for a year, although you won’t die from starvation, your quality of life will drop a lot.

In particular, if the family has more savings, it can support more children, and then let more children work, so as to continue to improve the strength of the family and even the family.

As long as you work hard, the benefits will be visible to the naked eye, how can this make people feel Buddhist.

Although the "Western Ultimate Bliss" described in the missionary is very desirable, the problem is, who knows what will happen after death?
It is also interesting to say that the great wisdom in the Buddhist scriptures teaches people to enjoy the good present and the beauty of the present, but when preaching, they always describe the future.

So I want to ask Xia Qingyang how to view Buddhism?
He respects the wisdom of Buddhism, but dismisses the belief in Buddhism.

That is to say: one can study Buddhism but not believe in Buddha.

Of course, he would not say this point of view directly in front of the receiving saint, that would be tearing his face.

Just how wise is a saint?

The guiding sage only guessed his meaning from his one-sided words.

The bitter face became a little more wrinkled, and he sighed: "I know what my nephew means, but my nephew knows that there are people with wisdom roots in the world, but how many people are there who study Buddhism?"

"My Buddha wants to save the world, not just the few wise ones."

What I said... is not wrong, and it also shows the compassionate heart of the guide.

Xia Qingyang felt that he only needed to express his position properly in this regard, and there was no need to argue with the saint.

"The saint is right," he said.

Seeing how good this attitude is, it is beyond reproach.

But Jieyin shook his head helplessly, and he said: "Brother Zhunti has done too much before, I would like to come here to reach a settlement with Nephew Qingyang."

Xia Qingyang knew this well.

This is Zhunti and wants to carry it, but Jieyin really can't stand it anymore.

He nodded and said, "Buddhism can be spread eastward, but I have to go west to get scriptures from the east."

It's a matter of initiative.

Jieyin thought about this for a while, and then thought there was no problem.

Now that Buddhism wants to spread scriptures to the east, all it needs is a breakthrough. As long as the breakthrough is opened, no matter how it is opened, it will be beneficial to him.

"good."

He complied.

Xia Qingyang's heart fell to the ground, and the plot of Journey to the West was completely settled.

Of course, both of them are very clear in their hearts that Buddhism will not stop preaching before the Westward Journey, and it will not stop and continue to spread Buddhism eastward after the Westward Journey.

The only advantage of Xia Qingyang's doing this is that the scriptures obtained from Journey to the West will become the 'official version', and there is a lot of maneuverability in it.

 It's normal to hang around.
