I am Master Maoshan
Chapter 2387 Water Moon Heart?
Soon, a black Jeep sped up to the entrance of the police station.
Immediately afterwards, the car door slowly opened, and a beautiful woman with a graceful figure stepped out of the car.
She wore a well-tailored black leather jacket, exuding an air of untamed confidence. She wore black sunglasses, her style both fashionable and unique, and her long, glossy black hair cascaded casually over her shoulders.
A tall, beautiful woman walking in the courtyard of the police station instantly attracted the attention of many people around her.
This beautiful woman seemed extremely familiar with the police station environment. She walked straight through the lobby with light steps, without the slightest hesitation or doubt, as if this were a place she frequented.
She arrived at Captain Sun's office with practiced ease, and without even knocking, she pushed the door open and strode inside.
In the office, Captain Sun sat at his desk, his brow furrowed, as if troubled by something.
Hearing the door open, he immediately looked up and saw the beautiful woman. His furrowed brows relaxed slightly, and a smile appeared on his face. He said, "Xiao Shui, you came pretty fast."
The beautiful woman smiled slightly and said, "Uncle Sun, how could I dare to delay after receiving your call?"
As she spoke, she walked to Captain Sun's desk and sat down in the chair next to it.
Team Leader Sun stood up, picked up a document from his desk, handed it to the beautiful woman, and said, "Take a look at this person's information. It's a bit strange."
The beautiful woman took the document and carefully looked through it. The document was about Liu Jun, containing his basic information, work experience, family background, and so on.
However, after quickly browsing through the document, the beautiful woman gradually frowned, because she discovered that there were many unreasonable points in the document.
It turns out that the information about Liu Jun was basically all fake. His so-called work experience couldn't stand up to scrutiny at all; a simple check would reveal numerous inconsistencies. The description of his family background was also vague and lacked any substantial information.
Moreover, the strangest thing is that there was no prior information on Liu Jun at all, as if he appeared out of thin air. He wasn't originally from this world, so how could he possibly have accurate and reliable information?
"This? Is there a problem?" The beautiful woman looked up at Captain Sun, her eyes full of doubt.
Team Leader Sun nodded and said, "That's right, I also found it strange. That's why I called you here, to see if you could find any useful information from other channels."
The beautiful woman nodded and said, "Uncle Sun, don't worry, I'll check right away."
As she spoke, she took out an ultra-thin laptop from her elegant handbag, opened it, and her fingers flew across the keyboard.
As she operated the system, various information windows kept popping up on the computer screen, which she carefully filtered and compared.
After a while, her fingers suddenly stopped, her eyes fixed on a message on the screen, and a look of surprise appeared on her face.
It turned out that when she was looking up Liu Jun's information in the system, she found it marked with the word "Top Secret." This meant that Liu Jun's identity and background might involve some very sensitive and important information that ordinary people could not easily access.
"Uncle Sun, look," the beautiful woman said to Captain Sun, pointing at the computer screen, "This person's information is actually top secret. It seems his identity is not simple."
Captain Sun leaned slightly forward, his gaze fixed on the computer screen, his face growing increasingly serious, revealing the unusual nature of the situation.
"Xiao Shui, could this be one of your staff members?" Captain Sun's voice was deep.
Xiao Shui immediately shook her head and said with great certainty, "Impossible. There are only a dozen or so people in this place. We see each other all the time, and I know them very well. Besides, their security level isn't that high. If it involves such important information, it's impossible that even I can't see it."
Upon hearing this, Captain Sun frowned deeply, pondered for a moment, and slowly said, "Then this person? Since he's not one of your own, his identity becomes even more suspicious."
Xiao Shui tilted her head slightly, a thoughtful look flashing in her eyes. After a moment, as if she had thought of something, her eyes lit up, and she said, "Didn't you say that person saved someone who was about to jump off a bridge? Perhaps we can find some clues from that person. I'll go ask that person; maybe I can get some information out of them."
Team Leader Sun nodded slightly, a hint of expectation in his eyes, and said, "Alright, go ahead. Be careful how you do it, and don't disturb anyone you shouldn't."
Xiao Shui responded and then hurriedly left.
Soon, she arrived at the hospital where Liu Ergou was.
Xiao Shui stopped at the door of the ward, straightened her clothes, and then gently knocked on the door.
After receiving permission, he slowly walked into the ward.
Liu Ergou was lying on the hospital bed, his face still a little pale, and his eyes revealed a kind of fatigue and confusion.
At first, when Liu Ergou saw Xiaoshui come in, a hint of wariness flashed in his eyes. He turned his head to the side and refused to speak. Seeing this, Xiaoshui was not in a hurry. Instead, she smiled and walked to his bedside and said softly, "Mr. Liu, don't be nervous. I just want to know what happened the day you jumped off the bridge."
Liu Ergou remained silent, as if he had sealed his mouth shut. Xiao Shui was not discouraged; she simply snapped her fingers in front of Liu Ergou.
As if under a spell, Liu Ergou's eyes became glazed over, and he slowly began to recount everything in detail.
Xiao Shui listened attentively, nodding occasionally and jotting something down in her notebook. When Liu Ergou finished speaking, she got the answer she wanted.
"Interesting. You even have the ability to open your eyes with willow leaves and save a chess spirit. You've got some skill." Xiao Shui said slowly, her eyes slightly narrowed and a faint smile on her lips.
After getting the information she wanted, Xiao Shui immediately got up and left the hospital quietly and efficiently.
After her figure disappeared through the ward door, Liu Ergou finally snapped out of his daze. He rubbed his eyes hard and shook his head vigorously, trying to clear his head.
Then, he stared blankly at the chair next to the hospital bed, where Xiao Shui still sat, but she was nowhere to be seen.
"What's that pretty girl doing here? She just came for a short while and then left." Liu Ergou sat up and looked around the ward with a puzzled expression.
After leaving the hospital, Xiao Shui immediately drove straight to the police station. A short while later, she arrived at Captain Sun's office again.
As usual, he didn't knock; he just pushed the door open and went in.
"Uncle Sun, I'm back." Xiao Shui said as she walked to the desk, pulled up a chair, and sat down.
When Captain Sun looked at her, she recounted everything she had learned from Liu Ergou at the hospital to him.
Upon hearing Xiao Shui's words, Captain Sun was slightly taken aback, then his face showed an expression of extreme surprise, his eyes wide open as if he had seen something unbelievable.
"My God, so that guy named Liu Jun is really someone from your circle?" Captain Sun couldn't help but raise his voice, and his body unconsciously leaned forward.
Xiao Shui nodded gently, her brows furrowing slightly, a hint of doubt in her eyes.
“I’m sure. It’s just strange. With his skills, he has plenty of ways to find his missing friend. Why would he call the police?” Xiao Shui said, puzzled.
The people in this mysterious circle all have their own unique abilities and methods, so finding someone shouldn't be difficult for them.
Team Leader Sun leaned back in his chair, his hands clasped under his chin, lost in thought. Although he wasn't part of this circle, his work had given him some exposure to it, and he knew that those within it were incredibly powerful individuals.
“I don’t understand either,” Captain Sun said slowly. “Logically, with your abilities, you could have handled this yourself. There was no need to involve the police. Could there be something going on here?”
Xiao Shui nodded and said, "That's what I think too. Maybe there's a more complicated reason behind Liu Jun reporting the incident to the police. Perhaps he encountered some unsolvable problem, or maybe there's a bigger secret hidden behind this disappearance."
Team Leader Sun stood up and paced back and forth in the office, clearly finding the matter troublesome.
"Here's what we'll do, Xiao Shui, report this to your superiors and see what they do." Captain Sun frowned slightly, seemingly worried about the complexity of the matter at hand.
"Uncle Sun, I called the factory manager on my way here and gave him a general overview of the situation. He told me to proceed according to plan. I'll meet up with the other team members in a bit, and then we'll go find Liu Jun," Xiao Shui replied.
"You guys are really efficient. Okay, then you go ahead and get busy. If you need any help, just let me know. I don't have many people here, but if I can help, I'll definitely do my best." Team Leader Sun said as he stood up.
"Uncle Sun, don't worry, I'll let you know as soon as anything happens. Okay, I'll be going now." With that, Xiao Shui turned and walked out of the office.
Captain Sun stood there, watching Xiao Shui's departing figure, lost in thought. He knew that since Xiao Shui's organization had intervened, the matter was now classified and not something he could casually get involved in. Although he felt some curiosity and resentment, he understood the importance of discipline. As an experienced veteran police officer, he knew that some matters had to be handled by professionals.
After saying hello, Xiao Shui hurriedly drove to Zhiyang Road. Along the way, various pieces of information about Liu Jun kept flashing through her mind.
The atmosphere near No. 89 Zhiyang Road was somewhat strange at this moment. On the originally quiet street, a black pickup truck was parked, with the five large characters "Eighth Pig Farm" printed on it. The white lettering was particularly eye-catching on the black body, but it seemed a bit out of place on this street.
As Xiao Shui's car slowly approached, the pickup truck's door suddenly opened, and two men wearing blue work clothes and baseball caps got out.
Their movements were swift and precise, as if they had undergone professional training. One of the men was tall and muscular, his hands in his pockets, his eyes warily scanning his surroundings; the other man was relatively thinner, with a baby face, appearing harmless, but his eyes revealed a shrewdness and cunning.
