Chapter 1756, Section 389, Commander of the 7th Legion

Chapter 1756, Page 389: Commander of the Seventh Legion

Prince Aidan froze for a moment, while Annan muttered, "Do you mind if you're already sitting here? Are you going to kick me out? Aidan, why are you winking at me like that?"

Needless to say, Annan's rationality has vanished again.

The figure sitting next to the two looked at Prince Aidan with a half-smile: "Grey Mist, I still remember your previous failure."

Prince Aidan lowered his head: "Commander, I naively believed that I could ignite a war between humans and elves..."

"I'm not blaming you; there's nothing wrong with what you did."

The figure was not there for Prince Aidan; his bright, human eyes looked at Annan:
"I'm very interested in your men. How about lending them to me?"

Aidan could not betray Annan and had to refuse: "Commander, it is still useful to me."

The figure remained silent, continuing to stare at Aidan, who could only return the gaze in response.

"Stop fighting over me."

As Annan spoke, he grabbed a plate from the table to block their view.

He does this when he stops the cats in Liberty City from fighting: he blocks their view with something and they stop fighting. "Why don't you bid against each other? I'll listen to whoever pays the most!"

The figure's gaze returned to Annan: "You don't know who I am?"

“I heard Aidan call you Legion Commander…”

Annan was suddenly struck by an unbelievable thought and exclaimed, "You're the Succubus Queen!?"

The figure fell silent.

“Ahem… Olme, just right. Let me introduce you. This gentleman is the Demon Lord, Commander of the Seventh Legion, Bishop of the Chaos Cult, and a bard,” Prince Aidan coughed lightly.

“So it was you…” Annan revealed his understanding.

No wonder this guy managed to escape the Scavenger's clutches in Breeze City and then swaggered off to Liberty City to participate in "The Singer for All".

"You ever met me?"

Prince Aidan remained calm and simply covered his hand with the ring.

The bard's eyes developed a second pair of pupils, which flashed across Prince Aidan's face.

Fortunately, Annan was merely erratic in his words and actions, not so confused as to reveal his identity: "No, but your story is circulating all over the continent of Allen. And besides you, who else would dare to speak to the Gray Mist like that?"

"Lend me the person, it won't be long."

Prince Aidan wasn't sure if the bard knew anything, but if he refused again, he would really know.

"Olme, you're just right. You should go with the Legion Commander."

"No more bidding? At least give a token amount, just a little bit..."

Annan followed the bard out of the restaurant, and after many twists and turns in the stronghold, they went deeper and deeper into a dark hall.

A row of corpses was placed upright in front of the burning brazier.

Do you look familiar?

Of course they looked familiar; Annan had watched them all die. He hadn't thought anything of it before, but now, with the corpses laid out together, each bearing the same genuine smile, he felt a strange unease.

"Didn't I sell it to the black monkey? Why didn't it 'use' it..."

This refers to the fact that rat people have a habit of turning corpses into food.

"Why kill them?"

Annan wasn't sure if the bishop was there to investigate him for hunting down his own people, or if he had sensed something, so he continued incoherently, "Uh...it was all an accident. They were just setbacks I had to overcome on my path to becoming a priest." The bard walked past the row of corpses and stopped in front of Paley's body: "Why did he die?"

"Treatment failed."

"Where are the two of them?" the bard asked, pointing to Paley's two companions, one on his left and one on his right.

"I figured I needed to make a name for myself, so I gave them a limited-time offer: buy one get two free."

The bard continued onward, pointing to the dead man with his stomach ripped open, and said, "He just had an upset stomach."

"Appendicitis can be very life-threatening if left untreated. Do you know where the appendix is? It's roughly around this location..."

He walked without stopping before Black Widow. Without the support of muscles and vitality, the once attractive Black Widow had become an old woman.

"You even kill women?"

"We in the Abyss don't care about that." Annan thought to himself, "You've only been a traitor for a few years, but I'm a complete and utter demon!"

The bard gave up on asking each person individually and glanced at the long queue stretching for over ten meters: "So, this is what you advertised as 'surgery today, work tomorrow'?"

Annan said with a serious expression, "I know some necromancers who can help us transform those treacherous, selfish, and traitorous followers into tireless, restless, and eternally loyal powerful skeleton warriors!"

"They don't just start working tomorrow; they work twice a year, each time for six months!"

"You admit to intentionally killing your fellow believers?"

"It was all an accident!" No matter what, Annan must not back down.

"The disappearance of the soul was also an accident?"

The bards were the most knowledgeable group of people, but clearly he did not understand human nature and thought that Annam had devoured their souls.

“You know, the Abyss is a barren land. In order not to be ridiculed by other succubi, I have to smear my lips with my soul fingernails every day before I go out, pretending that I’m eating well.”

"I also have a gambling father, a sick mother, and a baby sister who needs to be fed. I'm terrified of being poor..."

The bard, watching Annam's sophistry and attempts to absolve himself, chuckled and said, "If you were to become a bard, you would surely be one of the best."

"what is that?"

"Still a bard."

Just as Prince Aidan couldn't figure out what Annan was going to do, Annan also couldn't figure out what the bards were going to do.

"Relax, I'm not here to interrogate you. On the contrary, I admire you."

The bard ignored the mud and the twenty-odd corpses of his men, his eyes fixed solely on Annam.

"appreciate?"

The bard nodded: "You still retain your innocent chaos, uncorrupted by the outside world."

Annan was slightly taken aback, then suddenly slapped the bard's shoulder hard: "That's so right, brother! You understand me perfectly!"

The bard stared blankly at the shoulder where Annan had patted him, and before he could react, he heard the next word, "Brother."

"I've been wanting to vent ever since I joined the Chaos Cult. How can they be like this? They don't fight amongst themselves, nor do they indulge in debauchery. Instead, they talk about organization, discipline, and plans. Are these words for chaos? Disgusting! Absolutely disgusting! What's the difference between this and any kind of order?!"

Annan displayed a cynical demeanor, constantly spitting on the bard.

The bard silently wiped his face, his expression unreadable: "Are you saying that my Chaotic Cult is not good?"

"It's not just bad, it's absolutely terrible! I'm starting to suspect that this place has been hollowed out by the Order faction. Look at the mess they're making, it's anything but chaotic!"
