Chapter 1810, Section 443: Persuading Biros to Defect

“I will not go back,” Prince Aidan said without hesitation.

"Are you sure? Aidan, don't worry about human society not accepting you, you can come to my Free City..."

Prince Aidan shook his head, offering no explanation for his refusal, only saying, "If I change my mind someday, I will come to you."

"And what about you?" Annan looked at the lustful demon again.

The lust demon recalled his first time in Liberty City. Initially, he wasn't used to the peaceful and prosperous life there, always feeling that humans were plotting something, scheming against him. Then, in just over ten days, he grew accustomed to the relaxation of being surrounded by lambs.

I could have endured the darkness if I had never seen the light.

But betraying her people... she wasn't ready.

Annan asked her, "You like demons?"

Ruston immediately looked disgusted: "Are you kidding me?"

"So you don't like demons, you just don't want to betray Biros?"

Ruth nodded hesitantly and slowly.

"Then why don't we just make Biros betray us too?"

"yes……"

Then Ruth came to her senses: "You still say you didn't come here for Lady Beros!"

……

"Byros, I know you're in there, let me in!"

Standing before the map, the six-armed serpent demon, listening to the shouts outside, said helplessly, "Let it in."

Soon, Annan rushed into the main house and anxiously shouted to the six-armed serpent demon, "McKen knows that the Demon's Claw Peninsula was our doing, and he's sent a team to capture you. Biros, come with me."

Just as Lady Lilith predicted, Annan wanted to take her away.

The six-armed serpent demon gestured for her servants to leave, and when only she and Annan remained in the room, she spoke: "The ratmen are carrying Lady Lilith's decree. It was... Lady Lilith who sent them."

Biros thought Annan would speak ill of the Succubus Queen next, but he didn't. Instead, he said from another angle, "Perhaps this is exactly what she wanted to remind you?"

Annan knew about the relationship between the Succubus Queen and the Six-Armed Serpent Demon, which was both master and servant and friend. He didn't think he could steal her away after only knowing her for a few days.

Since the cornerstone is unshakeable, then join in!
Annan pretended to side with the Succubus Queen and advised, "You have been good friends for hundreds of years. You have messed up the mission. The Succubus Queen will definitely not have the heart to hand you over, but she has no choice but to do so due to the threat from the Macken ratmen."

"By letting the ratmen take you away, you solved the problem, but Lady Lilith lost both your good sister and your capable subordinate. So, leaving now will actually give her a break!"

"Byros, do not disappoint Her Majesty the Queen's good intentions!"

Annan's words almost convinced even himself. Even though everything was going according to plan, Biros couldn't help but wonder if Lady Lilith really intended to do so.

By going with Annan, he could both infiltrate Free City and eliminate the threat from the Macken ratmen.

Biros snapped out of her daze, looked at Annan who was watching her intently, and said:

No, I want to stay.

The succubus queen, hiding under the bed, crushed the bed frame.

……

After Annan left, the succubus queen crawled out from under the bed and floated to sit in the chair in front of the long table.

"Why did you refuse?" the succubus queen asked quietly.

Even he himself was somewhat tempted by the sorcerer's persuasion, let alone Biros, who was supposed to go with him according to the plan. However, Biros still refused and went against his arrangements.

"I'm your subordinate." "Hmm?"

Could it be that Biros is reluctant to leave him?

Biros continued, "If I were to leave him so easily and betray you, he wouldn't be proud of his charm, but would suspect that I have some ulterior motive."

"So you want to be the woman he can't have?" Having a subordinate who is too smart isn't all a good thing; for example, Biros seems too opinionated.

"The easier something is to obtain, the less likely it is to be cherished."

The succubus queen nodded in agreement, then suddenly stopped.

Who taught you these words?

……

Back at his lodgings, Annan shook his head at Russ, who had a look of anticipation and joy on his face.

“Byros refuses to leave with us.”

We didn't bring back the Six-Armed Serpent Demon, but bringing back a Lust Demon would have been fine... Bullshit!
The lustful demon Anan could have as many as he wanted; how could he compare to the six-armed serpent demon?!

Ruth's joy vanished almost entirely. How could she leave if Lady Biros didn't leave?
"What should I do?"

Annan lowered his eyes: "There's one last way... take her away by force!"

"I will not help you deal with Lady Biros!"

"Who said I was going to deal with Biros?"

Annan glanced at Ruth, who was eager to pledge his loyalty: "What I mean is, before the Macken ratmen take Biros away, we'll take her away first."

You can also let the Macken ratmen capture Biros first, and then appear yourself to rescue Biros, just like rescuing a princess captured by a dragon.

“Why don’t we pretend to be the Mackenzie ratmen and take away the six-armed serpent demon?” Prince Aidan suggested.

"Great idea!" Annan immediately praised.

Not only can it avoid battle, but it can also make the demons think that they have handed over the people, and make the Macken ratmen think that the demons are unwilling to hand over the people, thus further intensifying their conflict!

"As expected of you, Prince Aidan, you are indeed rotten to the core."

Prince Aidan, unsure whether it was a compliment or an insult, remained silent.

Annan then asked, "How much longer until the Macken ratmen's army arrives?"

"As early as tomorrow night."

Time was tight, so Annan decided to split up: the Succubus would go to the Skaven city-states to get help from Philosopher's siblings, while Prince Aidan would go to slow down the Mackenzie Skaven.

Meanwhile, Annan took advantage of these two days to instill in Biros the knowledge that following the Macken ratmen would harm the devil, planting the seeds of change.

Ruth wanted to refuse, but Annan shut her down with one sentence: "If you don't do this or that, what's the point of me taking you back? You might as well stay in the demon camp."

"I didn't say I didn't want to..." Ruth muttered, then her heart was filled with homesickness.

No one can stop Lady Biros from going to Free City, not even Biros herself!

How many days does it take to corrupt a succubus?

Soon, a squad of demon guards from the volcano nest arrived at the camp and stripped Biros of her commander status on the grounds that "the six-armed serpent demon colluded with humans to harm the ratmen allies," imprisoning her and preparing to hand her over to the Macken ratmen's army when they arrived.

That's for the best; if she suffers a little, she can think things through more clearly.

Annan staged a scene outside the dungeon, shouting in a voice that Biros could hear, "This is betrayal! The Legion Commander will not let you get away with this!" This forced the demon guard to say, "This is the Legion Commander's will."

With skillful guidance, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the six-armed serpent demon would surely delve deeper into the logic of that statement. Unfortunately, everything before him was a trap within a trap set by the demon.
