A day at Hogwarts.
Chapter 566 Give Him a Beating
Chapter 566 Give Him a Beating
"That little bastard!" Jack was so angry he was jumping up and down in the hall. "He stole from me! That's my retirement money!"
A hint of interest flashed in Grindelwald's eyes. He had been beaten by him before, but he wondered how Grindelwald would beat Charles. He really wanted to see.
He said slowly, "Oh well, the child is still young and doesn't understand. Just say a few words to him and that's enough."
Jack snorted and said, "I'm going to beat him up!"
He walked out of the villa onto the outdoor platform, raised his wand, and waved it.
A vibrant, flame-like figure pierced through the clouds in an instant, swooped down, and landed steadily on the ground.
Ruby, with a gummy bear still in her mouth, tilted her little head and ran over to give the gummy bear to her old owner.
Jack fed it the candy, scratched its head, and said fiercely, "Go! Bring that lawless little brat back to me! Now! Immediately! Right now!"
Ruby seemed to understand who the "little rascal" was referring to. It chirped excitedly, its little eyes sparkling with eager anticipation. With a flap of its wings, it transformed into a streak of crimson light and vanished into the sky in an instant.
Charles had just finished preparing the things he had brought back when he saw that it was already late. He yawned, went to the simple bathroom, and prepared to take a hot shower and then have a good night's sleep.
He stood in front of the mirror, casually waved his wand, and his clothes instantly disappeared, neatly folded on the shelf beside him, leaving only a pair of men's boxer shorts with an armor charm, bought from a wizarding village near Saint-Étienne, France. He bought quite a few of these every year.
Just as he picked up his wand to cast a hot water spell to fill the bathtub, Phoenix suddenly appeared in the tub.
Charles assumed it wanted to take a bath and didn't pay much attention.
Unexpectedly, Ruby leaped up, and her two claws, covered in hard scales, shot out like lightning, firmly gripping Charles's shoulders.
"Ruby, what are you doing..." Charles was shocked and furious, but before he could finish speaking, an overwhelming spatial pulling force instantly enveloped him.
Charles felt dizzy as the cold mountain wind was instantly replaced by the salty sea breeze.
Before the scenery could even become clear, Ruby threw him onto the cold, hard ground with a "thud"—right outside the gate of the seaside villa.
He fell awkwardly onto the gravel ground, his shoulder aching from the phoenix claws, and his body, clad only in boxer shorts, instantly broke out in goosebumps from the cold wind.
Before he could even get up, a magical light shone around him.
A thick, merciless beam of crimson light, a spell of stun, tore through the night and shot out from beside the villa's gate, heading straight for Charles's chest.
Another chilling, bone-chilling blue petrification spell, with Grindelwald's characteristic precision and ruthlessness, blocked all his possible angles of evasion.
With Jack and Grindelwald's abilities, casting spells was as easy as they wanted; they didn't need to chant incantations, they could just raise their hands and cast them.
Charles's pupils contracted sharply. He didn't have time to think about who the attacker was; instinct and a strong fighting spirit had already taken over his body.
He cast a levitation spell on himself, then slammed his left hand on the ground, quickly retreating. At the same time, the armor spell on his boxer shorts activated automatically, instantly forming a semi-transparent, colorless shield.
"Boom!"
The red light of the Stunning Curse and the blue light of the Petrifying Curse collided violently with the Ironclad Curse, unleashing a blinding magical light and a violent shockwave.
Charles was so shocked he almost couldn't get up. His Ironclad Charm flickered violently, barely managing to block the deadly sneak attack.
He suddenly felt a weight on his body, as if two of his own weights were pressing down on his shoulders.
This is a seaside villa, and it's the "Falling Curse" again. Now he knows who it is.
Charles used the Falling Curse as a weight during his daily workout, so this was nothing to him, and he quickly and easily stood up.
Jack held his wand, his face ashen, his eyes burning with fury.
Grindelwald stood a few steps to his side, his long fingers lightly tapping his calf with his wand, a cold, amused smile on his face.
Charles asked, puzzled, "Grandpa, is something wrong?"
He didn't know why the old man was using a spell to greet him.
Jack remained silent, but Charles responded with an even fiercer attack!
Jack swung his wand, and a powerful shattering spell slammed into the ground where Charles was standing like a battering ram, forcing him to dodge again in a sorry state.
Grindelwald raised his wand slightly, and a cunning disarming charm shot towards Charles's wrist like a venomous snake.
Charles didn't understand the situation, but since the old man and his men wanted to fight, then so be it.
He flicked his wand, casting a Transfiguration Charm to create a wall that blocked Grindelwald's Disarming Charm, while simultaneously shifting his body rapidly to the side, narrowly avoiding Jack's Shattering Charm.
The gravel exploded at his feet, filling the air with smoke and dust.
Charles pointed his wand at Grindelwald, and in an instant, two phoenixes, one of fire and one of ice, flew out and flew towards him in two different directions, one with a "" and the other with a "" and the other with a "", respectively, intending to interfere.
He then pointed his wand at Jack and cast an Air Fryer Charm, which surrounded the old man with scorching winds, blocking his next spell.
Grindelwald raised an eyebrow, seemingly surprised by Charles's fierce counterattack. He elegantly drew a circle with his wand, and a small blue fire dragon flew out to meet the two phoenixes.
He didn't expect that the ice and fire phoenixes would collide and cause a violent explosion, blasting the blue fire dragon into a rain of fire.
Jack snorted coldly, slashing his wand sharply beside him. A waterspout appeared around him, instantly colliding with the Air Fryer Charm, causing steam to billow around them. He took a step forward, his wand whistling through the air as it pointed directly at Charles, unleashing a Leg Lock Charm aimed at his legs.
Charles's footwork suddenly shifted, sliding sideways like a ghost, while simultaneously pointing his wand at Jack's surroundings.
Jack reacted extremely quickly, his body rising from the ground as if weightless, hovering in the air, and a huge iron cage appeared where he had just been standing.
He waved his wand again, casting a devastating spell on Charles.
Grindelwald also moved, no longer holding back, and blue flames enveloped Charles from all directions.
Charles felt his body grow heavier and he couldn't move, watching helplessly as the blue flames gathered around him to form a shield.
The intense heat from the blue fire shield kept Jack at a distance; even with the Ironclad Curse, being roasted inside was unbearable, and his anger subsided considerably.
There was a crack on the ground, about the size of a finger and the width of a palm. Charles transformed into his Animagus form, slipped inside, swam into the sea, Apparated back to No. 3 Privet Drive, opened the refrigerator, took out a bottle of ice-cold soda, drank it, burped, and then went back inside.
When Grindelwald dissipated the blue flames, Charles's face turned pale, indicating that maintaining the Ironclad Spell had taken a huge toll.
But his fighting spirit intensified. He reached for his ear with his left hand, took out a needle-like object from the ear canal, and transformed it into a guardian wand as it blew in the wind.
Charles wielded his wands and unleashed a barrage of spells like lightning, raining down on Jack and Grindelwald!
Neither of them expected him to have such a move, and they each reacted accordingly.
Jack skillfully dodged the flying rocks in the air, while using the Ironclad Charm to block Charles's Disarming Charm. With each swing of his wand, powerful Shattering Charms and Stunning Charms were unleashed in return.
Grindelwald deflected the spell with his armor charm, his figure swaying like a ghost in the sea breeze, his eyes fixed on Charles's movements, occasionally throwing out a tricky spell to counterattack.
The open space in front of the seaside villa was completely turned into a battlefield, with colorful spell lights intertwining, colliding, and exploding wildly in the night sky.
Stone fragments flew everywhere, and the air was filled with the acrid smell of burnt magic and the stench of dust.
At this point, even the most ordinary spells can become deadly attacks, and a single misstep can lead to instant death.
Charles grew increasingly excited as the fight progressed. Despite being attacked from both sides by two veteran top wizards, he managed to hold his own, switching between offense and defense with incredible speed. He effortlessly unleashed various spells, displaying astonishing combat prowess.
Ruby had already hidden behind a large rock, only peeking out with her little head, curiously watching this earth-shattering family feud.
However, high-intensity combat takes a huge toll on physical and mental strength.
Charles was young and strong, brimming with magic, but Jack and Grindelwald were, after all, older. After half an hour of intense fighting, their movements began to sluggish, and their breathing became heavy.
Jack once again used his long wand to deflect the stun spell Charles shot at him, and his arm went numb and sore.
Grindelwald deflected several large rocks summoned by Charles with a beautiful Ironclad Charm, his breathing becoming somewhat disordered. He looked at the boy in the arena with a complex expression, who was still full of fighting spirit and whose spells were pouring down like a storm.
When he was Charles's age... he didn't seem to have such outrageous magic and combat skills. This kid is a monster!
Jack gritted his teeth; he had to use his ultimate move.
A bolt of lightning, powerful enough to turn Charles into an unlucky person, descended from the sky.
Grindelwald's unpleasant memories were stirred up, so he stopped and moved away.
Charles raised his left hand, and the same bolt of lightning shot out from the Guardian Wand.
Two bolts of lightning collided in mid-air, and the violent explosion illuminated the sky and sea as if it were daytime.
The fight couldn't continue; the intense magical fluctuations had attracted the Aurors.
The two Aurors were knocked unconscious as soon as they appeared. Grindelwald altered their memories, making them believe it was just a stronger lightning bolt, and then threw them to the edge of a nearby cliff.
Charles wiped the sweat from his brow, slightly out of breath, and asked, "Grandpa, where did you go for a big meal tonight? Need to get some exercise?"
He ruled out countless possibilities, and only this could explain why the two elderly people were so energetic tonight.
Jack caught his breath, pointed his wand at Charles's nose, and roared angrily, "You little bastard, you stole my pension!"
Charles was taken aback, blinked, and then suddenly realized what was going on, his face showing a look of both laughter and tears.
"Just for this?" He pointed to the villa behind him. "I'm using it as a prop, to fabricate evidence that the goblins broke into Lestrange's vault, so that Voldemort and the goblins will fight each other."
"Then why do you have to touch my pension?!" Jack was still furious. "Don't you have a share in that villa on the island?"
Charles scratched his head and said, "Aren't those the ones you left over? Why would a fairy want those?"
Jack retorted angrily, "Then why didn't you tell us beforehand?"
Charles said, puzzled, "Grandpa, haven't you always treated money as nothing? If you wanted money, Grindelwald and Voldemort wouldn't have had a chance with you."
Jack was so angry that he didn't want to say anything, and simply put away his wand.
Grindelwald chimed in, "You know how expensive dating is these days."
Charles was speechless.
