Chapter 611 Han Fei's Isolation

Chapter 611 Han Fei's Isolation
"That round thing isn't a ball? That child is holding another child's head!"

Arlene's pupils dilated rapidly as she stared intently into the darkness in the distance. Fear washed over her like a tide, making it difficult for her to even move.

As the cool air filled her lungs, Arlene suddenly felt someone tugging at her clothes. She thought it was Li Huang, but when she turned around, she found a white arm gripping her wrist, as if trying to separate her from Li Huang.

Following the direction of her arm, she saw a six or seven-year-old child with his features hollowed out, squatting on the steps and looking up at her.

"Someone!!"

Arlene screamed so loudly that her voice was almost ruined.

She deliberately released her grip on Li Huang's arm and frantically shook her left hand, as if something was clinging to it.

Screaming and yelling, she collapsed onto the stairs, tears streaming down her face. Arlene was truly terrified.

"Who did you see?" Han Fei, who was at the front, stopped. He had no grudge against Arlin, and he would definitely help her if he could within his power.

"It's a child! No! There are three children! One has no head, and another has had its facial features gouged out, its face is full of black holes!" Arlene cried and shouted, her emotions running high.

“We’re at a plastic surgery hospital, how could there be children here?” Bai Cha tried to comfort Alin: “What you saw were probably little ghosts designed by Tang Yi. They were all virtual images, all fake.”

“But…” Arlene retorted, her eyes brimming with tears, “That little devil really seemed to touch me! I felt someone pulling my hand just now. It wanted to separate me from Li Huang! It wanted to drag me away alone! Xia Yilan must have been dragged away by them like that! There really are ghosts!”

“We’re filming a variety show, so don’t get too into it.” Wu Li also felt confused: “Now I understand why Tang Yi invited you, a newcomer to the variety show, to participate. The effects you create are often much more authentic than those of us who are deliberately acting.”

"I wasn't doing this for the show! I really wasn't doing it for the show!" Arlene was extremely aggrieved. In the end, Li Huang pulled Arlene up, hugged her, and gave her genuine comfort.

Compared to those unreliable male actors, Li Huang appears mature and stable, and is someone you can truly rely on.

"Stop talking about her. It's normal to be scared. Aren't any of you scared?" Li Huang's gaze swept over each person, finally landing on Han Fei: "Of course, except for him."

"I want to quit." Arlene shook her head, wiping away her tears, looking very pitiful.

“No variety show produced by Tang Yi is ever unpopular. Your popularity has been stuck at this stage for a long time. If you want to break through again, this is indeed an opportunity.” Li Huang is very mature and understands the needs of the audience: “You are different from us actors. This is your first time participating in a variety show. You have the most authentic reactions, which is exactly what the audience wants to see. After the show airs, your influence will be further enhanced, and it will be very smooth for you to transition into acting.”

Arlene herself knew this was an opportunity she had to seize. Besides, withdrawing now would be a breach of contract, and her company might have to pay a large sum of money because of her personal decision.

“We’re filming a variety show. If it were really haunted, Tang Yi would definitely stop filming. No matter how crazy he is, he wouldn’t joke about the actors’ lives, right? Besides, how could there be ghosts in this world?”

Bai Cha and Li Huang had finally managed to comfort A Lin when Han Fei spoke up.

"All of Tang Yi's variety shows become huge hits, but all of them have very short lifespans. Would such a conceited and arrogant top variety show producer give up such a huge amount of traffic and attention?"

Walking up to Arlene, Han Fei grabbed her arm and saw a red paint mark on her wrist.

“If the filming location is really haunted, Tang Yi will definitely be the happiest. At least he won’t stop filming until someone is seriously injured. This could very well be a real death game. We are actors who gamble with our lives to step onto the stage.” Han Fei let go of A Lin’s hand: “I have a very bad feeling. If you are really scared, it is wise to quit as soon as possible. You must never let greed blind you while you are alive.”

"Don't you feel like you're being childish by saying these things?" Bai Cha directly mocked Han Fei: "Your script matches your personality very well. Director Jia Jia has a good eye for people."

"Whatever, just don't cry later." Han Fei smiled and walked back to the front of the line, becoming the first to enter the fourth floor.

Tang Yi is very dedicated to this new variety show and has spent a lot of money to set up the scenes. In the already terrifying building, he has set up some mechanisms that can be controlled backstage. Whenever someone passes by, chilling sounds and eerie shadows will appear. However, these things keep a safe distance from the actors and will not easily touch them.

On the fourth floor of the ward, there were oil paintings of children playing on the walls, and various wreaths were piled up in front of the walls. Each wreath had some terrifying words written on it, such as "I will avenge you", "I will definitely kill the doctor who hurt you", "I will definitely catch that face thief", and so on.

Stepping on the paper money fluttering in the wind, the actors slowly moved inward.

White couplets were pasted on all the departments on the fourth floor, and dirt was splashed on the doors. A white banner was also hanging on the hinge of one of the operating rooms.

"The entire fourth floor has been set up as a mourning hall?" Xiao Chen trembled slightly; just standing in this place made him feel uneasy.

"Was Number Eight killed by us here? Is this the first crime scene?" Wu Li looked at the words on the wreaths: "All the wreaths in the corridor seem to have been sent by one person. That person claims to be avenging Number Eight. Based on my experience of making so many horror movies, it is very likely that it is a guy who secretly loves Number Eight. After learning that Number Eight was killed by us, he pretended to be a ghost and wanted to kill the seven of us."

“That’s what I think too.” Li Huang nodded: “The Avenger is highly suspected of being the security guard. The Avenger impersonated the security guard, using the identity of Number Eight to lure us back to this place, and then fabricated everything, just to exploit our guilt and fear of Number Eight to make us kill them all!”

“I think he’s more suspicious than the security guard.” Bai Cha lowered her voice and gestured toward Han Fei with her chin. “All six of our scripts contain memories related to Number Eight, but his script doesn’t mention anything about Number Eight. And don’t you find it strange? He and Xia Yilan came from the same company, and I heard they’re going to film together in their next project. They must be partners. Look around, who’s the first person to go missing?”

"You mean Xia Yilan and Han Fei are working together? She deliberately disappeared, wanting to deal with us both openly and secretly?" Wu Li also thought this was possible.

“It’s a very simple logic! How could Xia Yilan, a living person, disappear without a trace? Put yourself in her shoes. If a ghost grabbed you, would you struggle and scream, or would you let it drag you away?” Bai Cha slowly convinced herself: “This place is so terrifying, everyone should stay together to be safe. But she chose to act alone without a word. There must be something fishy going on here!”

“Indeed.” Xiao Chen also felt that Bai Cha’s words made sense: “I heard that their next drama is about a plastic surgery hospital, and the first episode of this variety show was also filmed in a plastic surgery hospital. There’s definitely something going on between these two!”

After some analysis, the actors began to distance themselves from Han Fei, and even started to feel afraid of him, thinking that he might lead them astray.

Bai Cha successfully set the tone for isolating Han Fei, and he looked at Han Fei with a grin, finally feeling a little better.

He felt that in such a terrifying scene, the more people there were, the safer it would be, and Han Fei would slowly bring about his own demise.

Han Fei, who was leading the way, also heard the conversation of those people, but he couldn't be bothered to pay attention. When the painter actually appeared, those guys would probably know how terrifying a real ghost was, and they would also know how kind Han Fei was.

Opening the doors to each ward, Han Fei finally lifted the white soul banner hanging above the operating room and entered.

In the large operating room, there were rusty medical instruments and an operating table that Han Fei was very familiar with.

"So many expensive instruments weren't taken away? It seems the hospital closed very suddenly. What a waste." Wu Li stood outside the operating room. He didn't dare to enter the operating room alone, much less with Han Fei.

"Usually, a lockdown is only implemented when there is an acute infectious disease, but this is just a plastic surgery hospital."

The other actors also entered the room, keeping their distance from Han Fei and huddling at the back, as if they were deliberately isolating him.

"what is this?"

Han Fei lifted the white sheet covering the operating table, then forcefully pushed the operating table aside, revealing a coffin placed underneath.

The dark red coffin was wedged right under the operating table, and there were still bloodstains and the corpses of some small insects in the gaps of the coffin lid.

Wiping away the dirt from the surface of the coffin, you can see a sentence crookedly carved on it: "I died here, and you will die here too."

Below that sentence was a face torn from a model's body, shredded, and then pieced back together bit by bit onto the coffin.

"It looks a bit disgusting." Xiao Chen was unwilling to get close, and the other celebrities also stood still.

"I remember there was a face displayed under Xia Yilan's photo in the security room. We should need her script to pass this level." Li Huang frowned. Now that Xia Yilan had disappeared, they seemed to be stuck.

Reaching out to grab the coffin lid, Han Fei tried to open it but couldn't. He then removed a leg from a nearby chair and finally managed to pry the coffin lid open by force.

"Have you ever robbed a tomb before?" Looking at Han Fei's simple and direct actions, Li Huang was a little puzzled. If Han Fei was the murderer, then why was he helping everyone pass the level? He seemed to be in a hurry to verify something as soon as possible.

"We've found the torso." Han Fei took out a body prop wrapped in red cloth from the coffin. The torso belonged to a woman, who had no limbs, head, or most of her internal organs.

"A severed leg, two severed arms, and the torso have been found. The body in the elevator will soon be pieced together." Han Fei, carrying the female corpse's body with both hands, turned to look at the other actors: "This thing is heavy. Let's take turns carrying it."

The actors in the distance neither nodded nor shook their heads; their faces simply showed expressions of rejection.

The female corpse prop was very realistic and extremely heavy. If someone encountered a dangerous situation, they definitely wouldn't be able to run fast while carrying it.

"We're recording a show right now, can't you at least pretend a little? Aren't you usually best at performing while wearing a mask?" Han Fei felt that he really couldn't count on these people anymore.

"How about I help you lift it?" Unlike ordinary pretty faces, Li Huang has beautiful muscle definition when she puts effort into her arms.

"Forget it, I'll do it myself." Han Fei hoisted the female corpse onto his shoulder, a scene that looked particularly gruesome, but Han Fei didn't care at all.

The group turned and headed downstairs, but just as Arlene turned around, the other actors all froze for a moment.

Li Huang, who was closest to A Lin, slowly took a step back. She stared at A Lin's back, her face pale.

Noticing that the others hadn't followed, Arlene, unaware of what had happened, asked, "What's wrong with you guys?"

"Ah Lin, did you feel anything strange when you went upstairs?" Li Huang's expression was stiff.

"No!" Arlene looked puzzled. "Don't scare me! What happened?"

"Look at your back." Li Huang slowly approached and tugged at A Lin's clothes.

Arlene's back was covered with red paint handprints left by children, a dense, large patch, as if many children had grabbed her clothes and walked forward!
