Chapter 1641 Different Types of Universes
Humanity has departed, but the purpose of human civilization's journey remains etched in the hearts of the Lolters. They will never forget that almost dreamlike goal: to pursue the first ray of light in the universe.

And at the moment humanity entered the stargate, somewhere beyond the first ray of light.

This place was once visited by the Dayan civilization, and some equipment placed by the Dayan civilization for measuring the universe remains here.

It was originally hidden quietly in the void. If nothing unexpected happens, it will be reactivated by the Dayan civilization at a suitable time, and then connect with other similar devices to ultimately help the Dayan civilization complete the measurement of the universe.

If someone could see them, they would find that these so-called devices have deviated from the conventional image of "devices" because they are not made of ordinary matter, but rather resemble segments of ethereal lines.

Or rather, it is something that resembles a line segment.

They drift in the void like microorganisms, occasionally trembling as programmed by the Dayan civilization, then emitting information from the cosmic membrane and communicating with other devices of the same type.

These lines have been hidden here for a very long time. Based on the current progress of the Dayan civilization, it is estimated that it will be able to complete the measurement of the universe in less than 100 million years.

In fact, at the level of the Dayan civilization, beings who have mastered infinite secrets can circumnavigate the universe, and should have already done so long ago. However, they obviously did not go there just for the purpose of circumnavigating the universe, but also deployed corresponding equipment at each cosmic membrane node.

This forced them to stop and complete a great deal of work. They had to calculate the impact of the accelerating rate of cosmic expansion on every node, the rate of vacuum decay generation and propagation, and whether changes in the cosmic membrane would affect their measurements of the universe under the condition of accelerated cosmic expansion, and so on.

Of course, the universe tour mentioned here refers to the universe within the range of the first ray of light, not the entire expanding edge of the universe.

Because the Dayan civilization is currently unable to reach the true edge of the universe.

In fact, one of their purposes in measuring the universe was to find a way to reach the edge of the universe and thus enter another universe in theory.

Well, that's a bit ambiguous. It makes people think that the other universe and our universe exist like two bubbles in the void, and the way to get to the other universe is to pass through this universe bubble.

However, according to the theory of the Dayan civilization, this is not the case. The cosmic bubble is just a metaphor; the two universes are not two bubbles suspended in the void. In their theory, the birth of the universe is caused by probability fluctuations of nothingness energy in nothingness. These fluctuations become the physical phenomena observed by most civilizations today, manifesting as the Big Bang.

These fluctuations vary in intensity. Singularities with greater force will burst forth with universes that expand at a faster rate, while those with less force will expand more slowly. Some universes may even have insufficient expansion acceleration, meaning that the initial singularity was not powerful enough, thus forming closed universes.

A closed universe is one in which the universe expands to a certain extent, and the initial force can no longer support its continued expansion. Then, gravity pulls all matter and spacetime back together, eventually converging and compressing them to form a singularity with slightly lower fluctuation energy than before. Then, under the influence of the various infinite rules of the singularity, all spacetime is remade, and finally, there is another Big Bang.

Just as there are closed universes, there are open universes. Despite not yet completing the entire measurement of the universe, the Dayan civilization, through years of effort, has calculated that this universe is a singularity with immense expansion force—meaning extremely large energy fluctuations within the void. This means that unlike closed universes, this universe will not be pulled back into all of spacetime by gravity, but will continue to expand until the Great Heat Death occurs. At that time, all things will be still.

Besides these, there is another type of universe where the forces of the Big Bang were just right, enough to support the universe's expansion to a certain extent before stopping, and just right to prevent it from being pulled back by gravity. This type of universe, after expanding to a certain extent, will settle into a static state.

Of course, static universes are relatively rare compared to the other two types of universes, and can even be considered rare, since their existence requires too many coincidences.

These are the three types of universes that the Dayan civilization has deduced in its current process of measuring the universe, but they do not rule out the possibility of other types of universes.

Similarly, there is no distinction between superior and inferior among these three types of universes; they simply differ in the magnitude and frequency of their initial expansion forces.

Since the universe was born from the fluctuations of energy in the void, and fluctuations are inevitable, but the so-called fluctuations are just the definition of energy fluctuations by intelligent life, in terms of energy fluctuations themselves, fluctuations and falls are just two sides of the same phenomenon.

Therefore, if the rise of energy is the peak of the wave function, then the fall is the trough of the wave function. The rise and fall of energy in the void will produce a singularity, which will then lead to the Big Bang and the birth of the universe. In other words, the universe will also have two different energy forms: a positive energy universe and a negative energy universe.

These correspond to rise and fall, respectively.

However, intelligent life in the universe generally views their own universe as a positive energy universe.

This encounter between positive and negative forces does not generate more energy; instead, the energy level drops directly to zero.

The Dayuan civilization speculated that there must be many fluctuations of void energy in the void, but most of them could not produce a singularity because the positive and negative cancel each other out. As for the reason why the current universe was able to be born, it is because when the void energy fluctuated, some unknown symmetry was broken, resulting in different frequencies of positive and negative fluctuations, thus giving birth to the universe.

The electron-positron pairs that appear in the vacuum quantum fluctuations of the universe are a microcosm of this phenomenon. The matter and antimatter at the beginning of the Big Bang should have annihilated, and there should not have been any matter in the universe. The reason why matter was produced is due to the breaking of symmetry.

Therefore, the birth of the universe may seem inevitable, but it is also the result of a series of coincidences.

The so-called collision of two universes is not a collision of two cosmic bubbles, but rather a collision of two universes whose initial energy fluctuation frequencies are similar. Therefore, they will have commonalities in many underlying mechanisms. As the universe expands, the two universes will interact because their initial frequencies are similar, which is the collision of universes.

So how do we cross between two universes?
As the project to measure the universe progressed, the Dayan civilization collected a lot of relevant data. They believed that every object in the universe, including living beings, and everything that originated in this universe, has an inherent frequency.
