Conan: I'm really not the mastermind behind the scenes
Chapter 384: Past Cases
Jinpei Matsuda met Aoyagi Akimitsu on a main road leading to Beika from the minato area.
Time goes back to twenty minutes ago.
Jinpei Matsuda put on his blindfold again and left. While the car was driving, he estimated the time and suddenly made a request to the public security and Furiya Rei colleagues around him.
"Can you drop me off on the street and give me a car?"
The public security officer sitting on his left was puzzled: "Mr. Jyoutani did say that if you make any request, we can cooperate with you, but what do you want the car for now?"
"Go find someone."
Jinpei Matsuda's answer was brief and to the point.
"I don't know how long it will take if we go through the process slowly. By the time the official approval comes, he will be locked up in prison for a long time. It will be faster to go directly to the FBI," he added.
What he said made sense, and it was not an excessive request. The police in the car whispered a few words and then parked the car to the side of the road.
A few minutes later, one of them drove over with a new car that he had gotten from somewhere.
"Officer Matsuda, where are you going to look for him?" the police officer asked again, "We don't know the exact address of the police liaison officer."
The private information of diplomats is not recorded in the police like that of ordinary citizens. If you want to know, you have to apply to the embassy, but today is the weekend and the embassy is closed.
Matsuda Jinpei put the eye mask into his pocket, looked at the interior of the car through the window, and then turned to him and replied: "I'll go to Mihua to check. There's a kid he knows who should know where his house is."
……
As a result, before Matsuda Jinpei drove to the Mori Detective Agency, when he was waiting for the traffic light halfway, he saw a black Chevrolet Suburban parked on the side of the road and Aoyagi Akimitsu walking out of a bookstore at the corner of the street.
Matsuda Jinpei quickly honked the horn, and Aoyagi Binmitsu heard the noise and looked towards him.
The moment their eyes met, Jinpei Matsuda stretched out his arms, put his fingers together and waved them forward quickly a few times. This is a gesture commonly used in the police force - emergency situation, support is needed.
The meanings of hand gestures in different countries are slightly different. Fortunately, Aoyagi Binkou still understood them. He walked through the parked cars around and went straight to Matsuda Jinpei's car.
Qing Liu Bingguang looked inside the car and asked politely, "Do you need help?"
Matsuda Jinpei glanced at his long hair, which was quickly soaked because he didn't hold an umbrella, and the shopping bag in his hand. To prevent it from getting wet, the plastic bag was folded up, and he could clearly see the clear [10000 Questions You Must Practice in the Second Year of High School] [50 Test Papers You Must Do to Get into the University of Tokyo] under the transparent bag...
He suppressed his inquiring thoughts and said, "Yes. It's related to the case you were involved in in the United States. Please get in the car. I'll take you to the Metropolitan Police Department now."
Aoyagi Akimichi raised his eyebrows slightly, he looked at Matsuda Jinpei's expression, and when the green light on the opposite side came on, he opened the door of the passenger seat and sat in.
……
Ten ten in the morning.
Jinpei Matsuda didn't have an umbrella, and as soon as he got off the car, he was drenched in the rain.
He pushed aside his wet bangs and said to Aoyagi Bingguang, who put the student exercise book on the passenger seat and looked at him with an open umbrella, "Come with me, we're going to the laboratory in the back."
Aoyagi Binguang nodded and followed quietly.
The Metropolitan Police Department is the largest police organization in Japan. There are several parking locations. For convenience, Jinpei Matsuda parked his car in the ground parking lot on the right side of the Metropolitan Police Department.
It was raining today, so there was no police dog training on the training ground. The two men crossed the ground and went around to the back of the Metropolitan Police Department office building, a single-family house that would not be affected by an explosion even if it occurred.
Jinpei Matsuda stepped into the room, took off his wet coat and put it over his arm. When he saw the room clearly, he was stunned.
"You're back." The colleague from the virginity explosion class was still here. When he saw Jinpei Matsuda coming back, he greeted him and handed him a dry towel.
"Thanks."
Matsuda Jinpei thanked him casually and took the towel to wipe his hair and hands. After wiping, he noticed that his colleague frowned slightly, and the relaxed feeling when he teased him before was completely gone.
He wondered if something had happened while he was away, and was about to ask when his attention was drawn to some documents on the table.
The document has black text on a white background, and is densely written in English. The handwriting is very clear, as if it had just been printed.
The first page of the information contained an exploded diagram. Matsuda Jinpei realized that this might be information related to the bomb, so he put aside his question for the time being and quickly checked it.
Aoyagi Binkou also folded his umbrella and walked in, his eyes fell on another person in the room.
"Otto, why are you here?"
There was also Robert Otto, another FBI police liaison officer who once served in the Navy SEALs. He was sitting on the sofa in the corner in a daze.
Seeing Aoyagi Binguang coming in, the colleague began to explain:
"Half an hour ago, the Japanese police contacted James, saying that a major case had occurred in Japan and it was suspected to be done by the wanted criminal 'Pramya' who had committed serious crimes in the United States. They wanted to apply for access to the FBI case records. James agreed, and then called me again, asking me to come over and see if I could help."
As Otto spoke, he looked at Aoyagi Binkou and his tone became helpless.
"Come to think of it, you were involved in both cases. Theoretically, it would be better if you came, but James didn't have your number, and you applied for leave this week, so I had to come. I didn't expect you to..."
He said this and looked at Matsuda Jinpei again.
Aoyagi Akimitsu used to be an agent of the New York branch. He was not familiar with James Blake of the headquarters, so they did not have each other's contact information. He was not surprised by this: "I just happened to meet him on the road and followed him here."
Jinpei Matsuda, who was standing next to him, didn't notice Otto's gaze and was still concentrating on looking at the documents.
His English level was average, and he did not continue to study after graduating from the police academy. When he occasionally met foreigners, it was always through his colleagues. He was dizzy reading the documents in front of him, and there was not much he could fully understand.
However, he noticed the time.
"Two?"
Matsuda Jinpei looked up from the file and stared at the two FBI agents in front of him: "The file only mentioned that in mid-April three years ago, a congressman was killed in a bombing on the streets of a city in Maine. Many innocent people were affected by this incident. What was the other incident?"
He asked quite directly, without any disguise. His colleague's face changed slightly, and he whispered: "Matsuda, pay attention! This is a foreign case, we can't just pry into it!"
Otto's expression also changed slightly.
But his expression was slightly different from that of the nervous Japanese policeman. He subconsciously turned his head to look at Aoyagi Akimitsu, as if he was carefully observing his expression.
Qing Liu Binguang looked normal.
"The other incident happened at the end of May and had little to do with Pramiya. It was not committed directly by her."
He walked up to Jinpei Matsuda, raised his hand and took the information from his hand, flipped through a few pages, then closed the information and threw it back on the table.
The document fell on the table, making a dull sound in the quiet room.
"Let me introduce the first case first."
He looked up at the clock in the laboratory, then turned to Jinpei Matsuda, his tone as gentle as ever.
"You shouldn't be in a hurry, right?" (End of this chapter)
