"Huangting Yaodao" says that the yang spirit is a combination of spirituality and ancestral qi. It needs to further work on returning to emptiness before it can become one with Tao. This return to emptiness requires the help of the ancestral orifice.

For those who practice inner alchemy, they also need to rely on the ancestral orifice to achieve refining the void and merging with the Tao.

Zhongli Quan once said:
The Yang Spirit can be released but not released. When the Yin is exhausted and the Yang is pure, the Yang Spirit will be healthy and then lead the practice of releasing.

The body can be discarded but it is not. The primordial spirit is preserved and burned and refined thousands of times. It is forgotten as if it were the void and is cooked with pure fire. The skeleton, bones and flesh are transformed along with it, and the body and spirit are reunited as one again.

This is the way of refining the void and merging with the Tao. Both the body and the spirit are perfect, and they are in harmony with the Tao that pervades all things and is omnipresent. Hundreds of billions of incarnations appear, with great supernatural powers, able to clear away the clouds and fog, move mountains and fill the sea. Only then can one be said to have achieved the Tao.

To practice this skill, one must return the yang spirit to the ancestral orifice, practice it over and over again, and return the spirit to emptiness. The yang spirit must be refined a hundred times and the yang spirit's wisdom light must be refined to generate divine fire, which penetrates all the orifices of the body. The yang flame soars into the sky, penetrating the feet and the top of the head. The body must be refined into the yang spirit, allowing the divine light to shine everywhere. Finally, the divine fire must be obtained throughout the body, and the body will collapse and shatter into innate ancestral qi that seems to exist but not exist, seems to not exist but not not exist, and has no shape or trace. It will return to the void and achieve the unity of heaven and man.

When one reaches this stage of Kung Fu, one can gather and take shape, and disperse and become energy. One can survive a catastrophe and live as long as the heaven and the earth. Only then can one be said to have achieved the Great Dao.

Of course, the Zhonglu School's refining the spirit and returning to emptiness and refining the emptiness to merge with the Tao are at the same stage, which is called refining the spirit and merging with the Tao. This is different from other alchemy methods.

The ancestral orifice is a secret that is not passed on. Even the master may not tell the disciple where it is.

In Jiang Taigong's "Taigong Family Teachings", it is said: A disciple should serve his teacher with the same respect as he would his father.

This means that students should serve their teachers with the same respect as they would their father; even if he is your teacher for only one day, you should respect him like you would your father for the rest of your life.

One can imagine what the relationship between master and disciple was like in ancient times.

Queen Mother of the West said: "You still need to comprehend the method of refining the Yang God on your own. I just said that I would help you. Naturally, I will not only tell you where the ancestral acupoint is and how to refine it, but I will also give you some additional help."

Chen Yun said contentedly: "I am already very satisfied to be able to know the ancestral orifice and the cultivation method of the disciple. I dare not ask for more."

“That’s all right.” Queen Mother of the West flicked her fingers, and a little spiritual light emerged. “You can store this little spiritual light in the ancestral orifice. Whenever you refine the Yang God, it will work automatically, which can make you get twice the result with half the effort. I hope you can refine the Yang God as soon as possible, and the Three Flowers will gather at the top of your head.”

Chen Yun carefully held the spiritual light in the palm of his hand, and then used a secret method to absorb it into his body and send it to the ancestral orifice.

The fairy's expression changed visibly.
