Chen Yun spoke calmly, “The rift between Maudgalyayana and my disciples is a matter for juniors. For you, one of the Three Buddhas, to personally deal with my disciples is rather disrespectful. Maitreya, it is not that I am arrogant, but I will make this clear today: if you dare to offend my disciples again, I will surely suppress you in the chaos like the three Brahman gods, so that you will never be able to rise again!”

The Venerable Maitreya was furious and said, "You, Chen Pu, how dare you threaten me with words? If you really have the ability to suppress this humble monk in chaos for eternity, then we can arrange a time to have a magical duel!"

As a well-established half-step Grand Luo cultivator, how could he not know that Chen Yun's failure to stop Jiu Feng, Wang E, and Ma Wangye from seeking revenge against Mu Jianlian must have some other purpose?

In addition, according to the "Maitreya's Ascent to Earth Sutra" and the "Maitreya's Descent to Earth Sutra", Maitreya was originally born into a Brahmin family, later became a disciple of Shakyamuni Buddha, passed away before the Buddha, ascended to the inner court of Tushita Heaven for four thousand years, which is said to be equivalent to 5.67 billion years in the human world, and then descended to the human world, where he became a Buddha under the Dragon Flower Tree in Hualin Garden and widely spread Buddhism.

In other words, Maitreya has a close relationship with the Brahman Trinity.

Immediately afterwards, an aged voice rang out from the void, "Emperor Chen, my grand-disciple was somewhat reckless and offended your majesty. This humble monk apologizes to you on his behalf. As for the challenge, in this humble monk's opinion, it is best to waive it."

Upon hearing this voice, Jiu Feng, Wang E, Lord Ma, and the others tensed up.

Maudgalyayana, however, showed a look of delight.

Everyone knows that Maitreya is a disciple of Shakyamuni Buddha, and Shakyamuni Buddha's teacher was Dipankara Buddha.

Therefore, the one who can address Maitreya as a disciple must be Dipankara Buddha.

Dipankara Buddha is one of the thousand Buddhas who appeared in the past Glorious Kalpa.

Because everything around him was bright as lamps at the time of his birth, he was named Dipankara Buddha.

It is also known as Dingguang Buddha, Dingguang Buddha, Dingguang Tathagata, Dingguang Tathagata, and Puguang Tathagata.

Dipankara Buddha is one of the Buddhas of the Three Times, representing the past, present, and future. He is mentioned alongside Shakyamuni Buddha, representing the present, and Maitreya Buddha, representing the future.

Dipankara Buddha prophesied to Shakyamuni Buddha in the past that he would become a Buddha in the future.

The Diamond Sutra says: "Good man, in your future life you will become a Buddha and be named Shakyamuni."

Dipankara Buddha, as the Buddha of the past in the Three Buddhas of Buddhism, is a Buddha who preceded Shakyamuni Buddha and holds a noble position. In this Taoist mythological world, the status among deities often represents their cultivation and realm of enlightenment.

Dipankara Buddha's high status in Buddhism suggests that his spiritual cultivation was exceptionally profound.

According to legend, he possesses power no less than that of Shakyamuni Buddha.

While the truth of the matter is not yet known to outsiders, his presence here today clearly indicates that he is supporting Maitreya.

Jiufeng, Wang E, Niu Pingtian, and the others immediately realized that Chen Yun was facing immense pressure.

If they continue to press their advantage, Dipankara Buddha might join forces with Maitreya Buddha to attack, at which point Chen Yun would most likely be no match for him.

But if Chen Yun were to back down now, it seems that the face he had just managed to regain would be lost again.

Therefore, everyone is very nervous now, wondering what choice Chen Yun will make, since it concerns his reputation.

Upon hearing this, Jiu Feng, Wang E, and the others, who were originally preparing to leave with Mu Jianlian, immediately dared not move.

They were perfectly clear that since Dipankara Buddha dared to say such a thing, he would definitely keep his promise.

Therefore, if they were to actually bring Maudgalyayana back to Huangting Temple, they would inevitably face a fierce attack from Dipankara Buddha.

To ordinary saints, Jiufeng, Wang E, Sun Wukong, and others are very powerful, after all, they are at the Heavenly Immortal Realm. However, in front of a half-step Great Luo, they are actually no different from ants. If Dipankara Buddha wanted to, he could annihilate them eight million times in an instant.

Chen Yun sneered again, "Dipankara Buddha, you have quite the airs. I'd like to see how you kill my disciples right in front of me. Even if Maitreya Buddha himself came at me, I wouldn't let you harm a single hair on my head!"

He roared angrily, "You damned Taoist priest, how dare you show such disrespect to me! Today I'll see how you stop me from annihilating your disciples!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the whole world was suddenly illuminated.

Enraged, Dipankara Buddha unleashed the supreme Buddhist magic, intending to annihilate Jiu Feng, Wang E, Niu Pingtian, and the others right in front of Chen Yun!

Since Chen Yun dared to say that, he certainly wouldn't allow Jiu Feng, Wang E, Niu Pingtian, and other disciples to suffer any harm.

Without uttering a word, he directly activated the "Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation".

In an instant, countless layers of Yin and Yang Qi rose from the earth.

Four enormous divine swords appeared out of nowhere and were planted at the four corners of the earth.

In an instant, the earth, water, fire, and wind of the entire world were frozen in place.

The surrounding scenery also changed drastically, turning into a primordial void.

The instant the primordial nothingness appeared, the boundless light unleashed by Dipankara Buddha vanished without a trace.

Dipankara Buddha was greatly surprised and exclaimed, "Your sword formation is so powerful?"

The Venerable Maitreya was still not convinced and snorted coldly, saying, "Emperor Chen, you are really arrogant. Do you really think that you can stop us by using a sword formation to manifest primordial nothingness? I will show you just how profound the supreme Dharma of Buddhism truly is!"

After he finished speaking, a giant Abhaya Mudra formed from condensed Buddha light appeared.

This fearless seal was initially only the size of Mount Tai, but it expanded in an instant, becoming the size of a small world, and it is still growing at an extremely rapid rate.

In less than a moment, the Abhaya Mudra had expanded to the size of countless worlds.

If this Fearless Seal were not within the innate void evolved from Chen Yun's sword formation, it would likely have already annihilated all the heavens and myriad worlds under such expansion.

This shows how powerful the Abhaya Mudra (gesture of fearlessness) performed by Maitreya Buddha is.

What is astonishing is that even though this terrifying Fearless Seal expands to the size of countless worlds, it is still as small as a drop in the ocean within the innate void evolved by the sword formation.

This is not the most important thing.

What caused the expressions of Dipankara Buddha and Maitreya to change drastically was that the Abhaya Mudra, which had only appeared for a short time, was shattered by an inexplicable great force and turned into nothingness, disappearing from everyone's sight.

Even the supreme and wondrous Dharma of Abhaya Mudra cannot achieve results?
