I'm trapped in a block

Chapter 1022 Upper Level

Chapter 1022 Upper Level
"Tack, tick, tick..."

Li Luo's boots made a rhythmic sound as they stepped on the stairs.

After saying goodbye to Delta Three, she went straight upstairs.

The stairs on this floor seemed to be longer than the previous one. After turning the corner and looking upstairs, I could not see anything at the stairs, only darkness above.

"No lights?"

Li Luo walked up curiously, and when he reached the stairs, he found that the lighting here was very poor. There were only a few dim lights hanging not far away, illuminating a corridor leading to the depths. Anything further away was completely invisible, and it was pitch black. It seemed that the walls of the corridor were also black.

"It looks like some kind of stain."

Li Luo looked at the wall under the dim light, feeling a little strange.

Wouldn't the hotel's stains clean themselves up? Even if the lights were damaged, they should have automatically repaired themselves, so why was this floor in such a strange state?
She walked forward curiously, and when her boots stepped on the floor of the corridor, a strange "click" sound suddenly came out.

Li Luo quickly looked down and found that the layer of thing she had thought was the carpet in the corridor was actually a moss-like creature. As soon as she stepped on it, water came out of the moss and splashed all around.

The strange sound was made by stepping on the moss. If Li Luo's boots had not been specially made, she would have probably slipped by now.

Looking at the "carpet" under her feet, Li Luo did not move forward. She stopped where she was and slowly lifted her feet.

A footprint had appeared where she had just stepped on, and the moss on it was squeezed to the edge. But after Li Luo lifted her foot, the moss began to slowly recover, and became flat again visibly. In just a short while, it returned to its state before she had stepped on it.

If it was normal moss, it would never recover so quickly. This moss-like carpet seemed to have strong activity. Looking at the scene under his feet, Li Luo also frowned.

At this moment, a "woof woof" sound suddenly came from behind her. Li Luo quickly turned her head and found that it was the vicious dog that had followed her up from downstairs. It was now at the stairs, looking at the carpet in the corridor, circling anxiously and making frightened sounds.

It ran back and forth at the stairs, calling out to Li Luo from time to time, as if it wanted Li Luo to leave this place.

"Is it dangerous here?"

Li Luo looked at the moss under his feet and then looked deeper into the corridor. The atmosphere of this place was indeed a bit strange. It didn't look like a "hotel" but more like the set of a horror movie.

It has been in disrepair for a long time, is dark and damp, covered with moss, and has a musty smell...

"Where is the waiter on this floor? Doesn't he manage this floor properly?"

Li Luo was a little confused, but there was only one direction at the moment. Although the "moss" carpet on the ground looked abnormal, it did not affect her movement much.

The boots landed steadily on the mossy carpet again, making a squeezing sound. The soft feeling of the feet made the whole body tense. Li Luo adjusted for a while before he took a step back and stepped on the corridor with both feet.

"Woo, woof!"

The vicious dog behind him made an anxious sound. Seeing that Li Luo ignored its attempt to stop him and insisted on moving forward, it anxiously started to circle at the stairs.

After noticing that Li Luo had taken a few steps forward, the vicious dog seemed to have made some kind of decision. It bared its teeth and jumped directly onto the corridor. However, it seemed that it was disgusted by the moss on the ground, and it kept lifting and putting its feet down, as if the ground was a little "hot".

Li Luo looked at the reaction of the vicious dog and was sure that there must be something wrong with the layer under her feet. She silently grabbed the bracelet and immediately called out Xiao Zi if something was wrong...

"Baji, Baji..."

Just like that, Li Luo remained vigilant and walked step by step deeper into the corridor. The further he went in, the darker it seemed. The lights in the corridor were covered by those strange stains and could only emit a faint light.

Li Luo carefully observed the stains and found that they were also some mosses, but they grew on the lamp and were slightly wriggling on the surface, just like some kind of mollusk, which was very strange. The vicious dog followed behind Li Luo, tense and no longer lively, with a frightened look and no sound. It followed closely at Li Luo's feet, raising its limbs from time to time, and it seemed that it didn't want to stay on the mossy carpet for too long.

The corridor was very straight and should have been quite spacious, but now the walls and ceiling on both sides were covered with thick moss, making people feel extremely depressed. The dim light exacerbated the feeling of crampedness. Li Luo now wanted to leave here as soon as possible.

Fortunately, not long after this thought came to her mind, she saw the end of the corridor.

At the end, there is a wall covered with moss. A thick layer of moss completely covers the wall.

"Is it a dead end?"

Li Luo looked at the wall at the end in surprise, then looked back.

She didn't remember encountering any fork in the road just now. There was just a straight corridor leading directly here, and after going up the stairs, this was the only corridor she could go in.

"Did I take the wrong staircase? Are there other staircases downstairs that lead to other places?"

So what is the design significance of this corridor?
She was stunned, looking at the wall at the end, at a loss.

But at this moment, the block slowly flew over, and then a square hole was opened in the thick moss on the wall. Clear water instantly flowed out from the gap and splashed onto the ground.

Li Luo didn't know what the block was doing. When she looked at the gap, she understood the significance of it.

The place where the block cuts a gap is a keyhole.

“Why is there a keyhole in the wall?”

After just a moment of silence, Li Luo understood.

"This isn't a wall, this is a door!"

She walked forward slowly and found the crack in the door along the gap.

This is a double door, and it looks like a wall because of the moss covering it.

Li Luo endured the discomfort and placed his hand on the wet door handle in the gap. He tried pushing and pulling it a few times, but found that it could not be opened at all.

"Are the hinges rusty?"

In such a humid environment, rust is indeed possible.

"Still locked?"

Li Luo looked at the keyhole and suddenly remembered the key that Delta III gave her.

"I didn't expect it would come in handy now..."

She took the key out of her pocket and without hesitation, she inserted it into the keyhole.

The key squeezed out some moss in the keyhole. Fortunately, there was no rust inside the keyhole. After trying it back and forth a few times, the key was inserted into the keyhole tightly.

Li Luo took a deep breath and then twisted the key in his hand with force.
