Chapter 1024 Behind the Door

Chapter 1024 Behind the Door
Li Luo felt that he was thinking too much.

This is just a sculpture. The creator can paint it however he wants and there is nothing wrong with adding some of his own ideas.

What's more, this is just an ordinary door and no one will care.

Maybe the creator simply forgot to draw Noah.

Immersed in describing the apocalypse, I forgot the most important thing...

Li Luo shook her head. She really shouldn't have spent so much time on this.

"It's time to move on..."

I don’t know what the scene is like behind this door.

Thinking of this, she pushed the door open with force, and the Ark carved on the door also cracked in the middle. The dark gap became bigger and bigger, as if it was going to swallow her completely.

……

The line of sight followed the cracked ark in the painting and penetrated to the back of the gate. The lights here had been completely extinguished, and it was pitch black, as if falling into an empty cabin.

The ground was paved with cypress, but on top of the cypress was a thin layer of soil. Thick moss grew tenaciously on this thin layer of soil, with its roots penetrating through the soil and into the cypress. The green moss leaves seemed to be swaying in the wind, but there was no wind at all, and no one knew how they managed to stay so active.

On the moss, there were some white fungal dust floating. They swirled out along the airflow when the door was opened and fell outside the door. Some of them fell to the ground, and some stuck to the clothes of the visitors.

The pitch-black puppy saw the incoming fungal dust and quickly hid behind the door as if it were facing a formidable enemy. It waited until the air flow dissipated before it timidly crawled into the door and followed Li Luo's trouser legs again.

"What's wrong with that fungus dust?"

Mo Ling looked at the puppy's reaction and felt a little strange.

He stared closely at the fungal dust that fell on Li Luo, but after waiting for a while, nothing happened.

"Am I too suspicious?"

Mo Ling shifted his gaze away again and began to carefully examine the world behind the door.

The ground was still covered with moss and was extremely damp. The lights were completely dimmed and it was pitch black.

Li Luo had already started rummaging through his bag, looking for lighting equipment, but the darkness was nothing to Mo Ling. His vision gradually extended into the darkness.

Logically speaking, if this layer was the same as the previous two layers, Mo Ling should be able to reach the boundary quickly, but even after extending to the end of his vision, he still had not reached the edge of this world.

“Is this still in the hotel?”

Mo Ling was a little doubtful whether they were still in the "hotel" after passing through that corridor.

There were no familiar waiters and no one was cleaning the place. It seemed like we had come to another area.

Except for the wooden floor and the artificial smell, everything here doesn't look like a "hotel" built by humans.

Li Luo took out the lighting equipment, and a dazzling light pierced through the darkness.

Countless fungus dust floated under the light column, appearing extremely obvious.

The moss illuminated by the light seemed to be stimulated by something, and the leaves swayed more violently.

The beam of light extended far into the distance and did not reach the end of the space. Li Luo turned the lighting device in his hand and pointed it in other directions. Except for the wall with the gate behind him, it did not illuminate any other walls.

"Clap."

A drop of water fell from the sky and hit the moss, making a dull sound. Li Luo quickly pointed the lighting equipment at the sky, but strangely, the beam of light did not shine on the "ceiling", but shot straight into the sky and finally disappeared into the endless darkness.

Where did that drop of water come from?

Mo Ling's vision extended upwards, all the way to the edge, but did not touch the ceiling.

The wall at the back kept extending upwards, and it was unknown where it would extend to. The wall was also covered with moss. Moisture flowed slowly from top to bottom along the gaps between the roots of the moss, soaking every area. And these water flows, like the sudden falling drops of water, no one knew where they came from.

"There seems to be a water leak here?"

For some reason, even though he had been staying in the cube, after passing through the door, Mo Ling felt a hint of chill. This was the psychological feeling given to him by the whole environment. There was damp moss everywhere, and a drop of water dripped from the sky from time to time. The air filled with fungal dust was a little gray, as if covered with a blurry filter.

Li Luo walked forward on the soft moss, and his speed slowed down a lot. They gradually moved away from the gate behind them and walked deeper into the darkness.

At this moment, a hoarse cry suddenly came from the sky, followed by the sound of flapping wings.

After hearing these strange sounds, Li Luo directly raised the lighting equipment in his hand and pointed the beam of light at the sky.

Several dark shadows passed through the light column, circled a few times, and then quickly fled into the distance.

"Quack~"

They seemed to be a few ravens. After being illuminated by the beam of light, they were frightened and made a few short cries, then fled in all directions.

Seeing that it was not a "monster", Li Luo breathed a sigh of relief and aimed the lighting equipment forward again.

But the arrival of the raven seemed to have set off a chain reaction, and soon, other movements appeared in the darkness:

First, a swarm of buzzing bees suddenly appeared from the side. After approaching Li Luo, they were frightened by the light and left.

Then, another series of "grunt" sounds came from far away. When Li Luo looked over there, she found a strange wild boar. On the boar's back, there were several beavers and squirrels. Li Luo was ready for a fight, but the wild boar turned around and ran away, as if it just came to see her.

Not only that, but a number of creatures appeared one after another, either alone or "combined" together in a weird way:
A bison covered in termites.

A swan flutters down onto the moss.

Swarms of lizards.

A brown bear with two voles standing on his shoulders.

……

These animals suddenly approached and then suddenly left. It seemed that they had no hostility towards Li Luo. They were just attracted by the light from the lighting equipment.

They also seem to get along exceptionally well with other creatures, with an indescribable harmony.

After being "suddenly attacked" by these animals, Li Luo stopped where he was, not daring to move forward. Although they were not aggressive, those huge animals were still quite scary.

At the same time, Mo Ling was constantly adjusting his vision, scanning each animal, not wanting to miss any details.

However, after careful observation, Mo Ling found that they were just normal animals, and there was nothing special about them except that their behaviors were a little strange.

"They were attracted by the light column created by Li Luo, took a curious look and then left." It seemed that all these animals were like this.

But why are they here?

Could it be that these are all hotel guests?
