Chapter 941 Type 901 Supply Ship and Type 819 Electronic Reconnaissance Ship
Chapter 941 Type 901 Supply Ship and Type 819 Electronic Reconnaissance Ship
The advanced offshore supply system is the core equipment of advanced large-scale integrated supply ships. Since it needs to meet the requirements of stable operation under various sea conditions, the development cost of the offshore supply system is high and difficult. There are only a handful of countries in the world that have mastered such a full set of offshore integrated supply technology.
Liu Tao personally devoted himself to the research and development, and it took him a full month to complete the development of the entire new type of comprehensive supply ship. This efficiency was achieved based on the technology of the Type 903A supply ship. If he started from scratch, it would take much longer.
Looking at the model of the Type 901 supply ship in front of him, Liu Tao nodded with satisfaction.
Although this is not truly perfect, there is no such thing as perfection for any product. It depends on whether it is suitable and meets current needs.
It is because of this that larger and more advanced supply ships continue to appear.
No one can achieve success overnight!
Besides, if it is too advanced, that is not a good thing, because advancement means complexity and high cost. The more advanced it is, the more complex it is and the higher the cost!
If Liu Tao develops a supply ship that is too advanced, the navy may not be able to afford it.
The model of the Type 901 supply ship in front of him shows what the finished product will look like.
The Type 901 integrated supply ship is 241 meters long, 32 meters wide, has a displacement of 4.9 tons, a speed of 26 knots, and can carry two helicopters for vertical replenishment. There are four supply stations on the left and three on the right. The extra one on the left is for supplying aviation fuel to the aircraft carrier.
In addition, the Type 901 comprehensive supply ship is equipped with four six-barrel 4mm close-in defense guns, which gives it powerful supply capabilities and certain self-defense capabilities.
901型综合补给舰可以搭载舰用燃油17000吨、舰载机航空燃油6500吨、淡水900吨、干货弹药3000吨
It can be said that this type of ship is first-class in terms of both design indicators and technical performance among similar ships in the world. Even if you look around the world, only American supply ships can be compared with it.
In terms of appearance design and electronic equipment, the Type 901 comprehensive supply ship is far ahead.
More importantly, the cost of the Type 901 comprehensive supply ship is not high.
This will allow the navy to be equipped with 2 to 3 Type 901 comprehensive supply ships, which will greatly enhance the Chinese Navy's supply capabilities, thereby enhancing its ocean-going cruising capabilities and ocean-going combat capabilities.
Liu Tao decided to build two Type 901 comprehensive supply ships first, the first ship being the Type 965 "Hulun Lake" and the second ship being the Type 967 "Cagan Lake".
Back in the office, Liu Tao printed out all the design data for the Type 901 comprehensive supply ship.
Yangcheng Shipyard.
A Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship was officially delivered to the Navy.
This is the second Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship of the Chinese Navy. The first Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship has never been clearly assigned to any specific fleet of the three major fleets. Because there was only one ship before, all three major fleets wanted it, and they quarreled over it more than once. Later, it was simply not assigned to any specific fleet, but was transferred according to the mission.
With the completion of the second Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship, the ownership of the first Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship 780 "Tianshuxing" was finally determined and incorporated into the South China Sea Fleet.
The second Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship, Ship 781, 'Tianxuanxing', belongs to the North Sea Fleet. The third Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship, Ship 782, 'Tianjixing', which is currently under construction in the dock and will be launched at the end of the year, will belong to the East Sea Fleet.
Currently, the Chinese Navy is equipped with three main types of electronic reconnaissance ships, namely Type 3, Type 816 and Type 817.
The Type 817 electronic reconnaissance ship has a standard displacement of 1000 tons, a full load displacement of 1100 tons, and a cruising range of 2000 nautical miles/15 knots. It is positioned as a near-shore electronic reconnaissance ship, and its reconnaissance range includes the first and second island chains. Currently, 15 ships are equipped, with 5 ships in each of the three major fleets, keeping a close eye on the movements of the first and second island chains.
The standard displacement of the Type 816 electronic reconnaissance ship is 3200 tons, the full load displacement is 4000 tons, and the endurance is 5000 nautical miles/15 knots. This is an ocean-going reconnaissance ship. When it cooperates with the supply ship, it can go to the other side of the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Currently, there are 6 ships equipped, and each of the three major fleets is equipped with 2 ships. Every time there is an escort in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Aden, there will be an 816 electronic reconnaissance ship following.
The standard displacement of the 818-type electronic reconnaissance ship is 15000 tons, the full load displacement is 18000 tons, the self-sustaining capacity is 80 days, the endurance is 20 nautical miles at 13000 knots, and the endurance is 15 nautical miles at 15000 knots. The reconnaissance range of the 818-type electronic reconnaissance ship is an astonishing 6000 kilometers. It is positioned as a true ocean-going reconnaissance ship, which may appear in the Arctic or Antarctic, and is fully capable of appearing in any corner of the oceans.
The goal of the Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship is actually very clear, which is to keep a close eye on the Eagle Sauce and the Polar Bear. Six ships will be deployed in the future to monitor missiles, rockets, aircraft, etc.
In terms of electronic reconnaissance ships, the Ship Research Institute has just successfully developed the Type 819 electronic reconnaissance ship, which has a standard displacement of 819 tons, a full load displacement of 6000 tons, a cruising range of 7200 nautical miles/12000 knots, and a staff of 15 people (45 crew members, 20 technicians, and 20 scientists).
The Type 819 electronic reconnaissance ship is a model between the Type 816 electronic reconnaissance ship and the Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship. It is used to make up for the shortfall between them. It is expected that a total of 9 ships will be built, with 3 ships allocated to each of the three fleets.
By 2010, China will have 36 electronic reconnaissance ships of various types to meet China's needs for ocean surveillance, ocean measurement, and missile/rocket observation in near and far seas.
Electronic reconnaissance ships are the navy's maritime reconnaissance pioneers, and their appearance rate in peacetime is no less than that of main combat ships.
To a certain extent, the strength of the electronic reconnaissance ship determines the combat effectiveness of the fleet.
It is precisely because of these electronic reconnaissance ships that every move within the third island chain cannot be concealed from the Chinese Navy.
The officers and soldiers of the North Sea Fleet left in the Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship "Tianjixing". Two Type 054 frigates and one Type 052 frigate set off together, all of which were to be transferred to the North Sea Fleet.
The North Sea Fleet is currently under increasing pressure. After all, the North Sea Fleet's maritime defense zone is the Yellow Sea and Bohai Bay north of Lianyungang. Its main mission is to defend the capital's maritime gateway and guard against maritime threats to China from surrounding areas. It shoulders the important task of protecting the capital.
In recent years, the strength of the North Sea Fleet has been rapidly increasing.
With the addition of the Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship "Tianjixing", two Type 054 frigates and one Type 052 frigate, the strength of the North Sea Fleet can be further enhanced.
At the same time, a "Wudiao" heavy helicopter followed along, heading north, and will carry out a series of tests in the North Sea, East China Sea, Bohai Bay and Yellow Sea.
The 'Wudiao' heavy helicopter is also currently undergoing testing in the marine environment in preparation for the subsequent development of a naval-specific version.
Liu Tao watched the fleet heading north, but he was not worried about its safety. After all, within the Zhonghai area, they could get support from the naval aviation at any time, and they would not be afraid even if they encountered an aircraft carrier fleet.
