Chapter 10 Desert Oasis, Bick Appears!
Chapter 10 Desert Oasis, Bick Appears!
Smoke, burning with the aroma of boiling meat gravy.
A faint memory drifted out the car window and into the distance.
In the desolate wilderness, a black SUV drove towards the center of the desert, which appeared as a thick gray fog on radar.
"You are really obsessed with food."
Tony Stark is speechless at the absurdity of having a smokeless barbecue grill and air fryer even in a car.
Carrot El pressed the accelerator, one hand on the steering wheel, the other scattering cumin. For him, the car was more of a pleasure, like relaxing in a grand chair. He could get to any place on Earth in less than a second.
"Yes, so if you dare to drool on my steak, I'll tie a rope to you and throw you behind the car!"
Tony Stark was speechless. He deeply regretted not eating more earlier; that one hamburger wasn't enough to fill him up, and he was starving.
"Can you tell me where you're going?"
"Judging from the direction you're driving, it looks like you're heading into the desert?"
Carrot El asked expressionlessly, "Have you heard of the Gray Fog Zone?"
Tony Stark thought for a moment: "I've heard about it in tabloids before."
"Places like Bermuda, the Delta, Shennongjia, Kunlun Mountains, the Himalayas, and the Amazon rainforest islands—places that can't be detected by radar—are said to appear as a hazy gray fog."
Carrot El glanced at him in surprise, seemingly not expecting Stark to be interested in such things:
"Yes, what these tabloids say is true. There are many mysterious forces that shroud these places and prevent outsiders from getting close."
"And our first stop is an oasis deep in the desert."
Why go to the oasis?
"You'll know when it arrives."
The scorching sun was replaced during the long drive.
The golden sun has been replaced by the moon.
The cloudless, clear sky instantly turned pitch black, dotted with twinkling stars, transforming into a beautiful painting.
"Wake up, get off the bus."
Stark, forcibly awakened from his sleep, looked around blankly. Carrot grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and threw him out of the car like a kitten. He was shivering from the cold.
"Ayawn!"
"Damn, this desert is freezing! Go easy on me, I think I'm catching a cold."
Carrot got out of the car, closed the door, took a small portable refrigerator from the trunk, and tossed him a blanket.
"The temperature difference between day and night in the desert is extreme. You were able to survive the first two days only because your reactor kept your heart beating. Otherwise, you would have frozen to death long ago."
"Blow out."
Stark hurriedly wrapped the blanket around himself, sniffed, and suddenly felt weak all over.
"Wow, it's so cold, why are you carrying a freezer?"
"An ice-cold beer, in the depths of the desert, wouldn't it be reasonable for you to pay ten million for a bottle?"
"But unfortunately, these aren't for you to drink."
As he spoke, Carrot El looked up, and Stark followed his gaze, only to find that the scene before him had completely changed.
As night fell, the traces of the swirling yellow sand had faded into the darkness, revealing a lush, overgrown world of vegetation spread across the vast expanse.
The riverbed is filled with streams, and the high canyons on both sides make the whole terrain sink, hiding this oasis that symbolizes life in this cursed devilish yellow sand!
oasis!
It's a desert oasis!
Tony Stark rubbed his eyes in disbelief, unable to conceal the joy in his heart:
"Hahaha, this is incredible! An oasis! I'd only ever heard of it before, I never imagined seeing it would be so breathtaking! It's a miracle! An exciting miracle!!!"
Stark's joy is something that those who have never wandered the desert cannot understand. Although he is no longer struggling to find water, he was still shocked and delighted by the experience of almost dying of thirst.
"This place is amazing! Why didn't I find it sooner?! Hahahaha!!!"
Carrot El glanced at him indifferently: "Then you should really be glad you did. If you hadn't met me and had found this place earlier, you would be dead by now."
Tony Stark's smile froze: "Huh?" "What do you mean?"
"boom!!"
Suddenly, a sonic boom erupted in the sky, and a terrifying air pressure descended from the heavens, stirring up dust and sand that stretched for several kilometers in radius.
The ripples spread out like a sandstorm, instantly pinning Stark to the ground, making it hard for him to breathe.
"Fuck!"
"Whoosh!!"
Before Tony Stark could figure out what was happening, a sound of something cutting through the air swept away into the night, and a golden object was thrown towards them.
"Snapped!"
Carrot El raised his hand and casually opened his palm. A glowing golden sphere was tossed from above the oasis into his palm, which he caught steadily.
The golden sphere emitted a luster that obscured its interior, glowing faintly in the night, with six stars twinkling deep within its center.
Strangely, no matter which angle you look at it from, all you see is a pentagonal star pattern.
"Six-star planet".
Carrot El's lips gradually curled upwards as he raised his head and gazed at the white robes billowing in the sky above:
"haven't seen you for a long time."
“Bick”.
A smile appeared on the figure in the sky. The verdant form slowly descended to the ground, and beneath its two tentacles were a pair of eyes that gleamed with a sinister yet murderous aura.
"Sun".
Compared to the Namekian after the fusion in the later stages of Dragon Ball, Carrot clearly preferred the Piccolo Daimaō from the Vegeta era, who always said that fighting was his specialty.
He is sharp and decisive, ruthless yet tender-hearted.
Later on, he did gain more wisdom, but he lost his courage, and that courage to keep charging forward even when he knew he was no match and was beaten down to his last drop of blood.
In this fusion world dominated by American comics, there is actually no legend of Piccolo Daimaō in the outside world.
Because Old Piccolo's fighting strength was far from enough; he was killed by someone who wasn't paying attention when he was first born.
Piccolo's egg was also sealed, and it wasn't until Bulma came here five years ago that the seal was accidentally broken, and Piccolo hatched.
Five years ago, Piccolo was just a child, but the growth period of a battle-type Namekian is only three short years.
So, they've all grown up now.
Perhaps it was fate, or perhaps it was intentional, but Little Piccolo's position was placed in the location of the Celestial Spaceship two hundred years ago, which is what the Celestial called "home"!
This oasis deep in the desert was also the most suitable place for him, isolated from the world and far away from the troublesome S.H.I.E.L.D. and other political agencies.
