Bronze door through time and space

Chapter 837 Loki's Roar

Chapter 837 Loki's Roar
“They made Thor of Asgard look like a stupid monkey, just chasing after the banana in the other person’s hand,” Loki couldn’t help but complain, and Heimdall could only remain silent, because he thought so too.

"Send me and the Destroyer to Midgard. This game should end." Loki, followed by the Destroyer summoned from the Vault, commanded Heimdall.

As the Rainbow Bridge was activated once more, Hela, located in the psychic sea, let out a mocking laugh.

"These are my two stupid brothers?"

“A younger brother who has never been beaten by his older sister will always grow up slowly, and his life will be incomplete,” Yan Xu said with a smile.

"Now that your Queen of Vengeance is complete and the Valkyrie combat crew is in place, why not give your younger brothers a warm greeting during the sea trials and make up for the love they missed growing up?" Yan Xu said, watching the Queen of Vengeance battleship slowly rise from the psionic sea.

This battleship, brimming with Warhammer-esque style, takes the giant ship and cannon aesthetic to its extreme, as if engines were mounted on gun mounts. Only the Golden Cathedral adds a touch of medieval religious style to this design.

Nick Fury would surely be delighted to see this warship and would immediately inform his goddess to come and see it together.

However, the goddess always arrives late, and given Nick Fury's personality, he certainly wouldn't just wait idly. He would inevitably seek new power as a deterrent against all potential enemies, and the only one that fits this description is the Tesseract.

“I’d be happy to.” Hela remained respectful to the human form of the person she served, and was also very interested in the proposal. After all, what older sister could resist the temptation to beat her younger brothers, especially when they were not only stupid but also jumping around right under her nose?

Thor has finally come online. It's unclear whether he's realized the responsibility he bears or simply been provoked by the three flying enemies to break through his limits. In any case, he starts to unleash his power with Mjolnir, which he has regained and is now imbued with the aura of many people. However, it seems he has chosen the wrong target, or rather, he has chosen the right target.

When Loki arrived in Midgard via the Rainbow Bridge, Thor seemed to understand something.

I hadn't had time to think about it before, but now that I think about it, the Frost Giants were all transported here via the Bifrost. So here's the question: who controlled the Bifrost to transport the Frost Giants to Midgard for their invasion—was it Heimdall or Loki? It's really hard to guess.

"Loki!" Thor roared, his eyes burning with fury. He leaped forward, using Mjolnir's power to fly towards Loki's location, with only one thought in his mind: to stop Loki and save Midgard and his girlfriend/siblings.

The icy wind howled in his ears, and the attacks of the Frost Giants swept past him, but Thor only had eyes for Loki, because he had already equated defeating Loki with saving everything.

It has to be said that Loki understands his brother well. Just hearing that roar, he guessed almost exactly what his brother was thinking, leaving him speechless.

However, this also aligned with Loki's purpose and thoughts, so he began his standard villainous speech, first with a contemptuous smile, and then said.

"Brother, you still love playing the hero so much. Unfortunately, you are destined to fail this time. No one can stop the army of the Frost Giants. Midgard is destined to become a hell of ice and snow!"

"You're wrong, Loki. As long as I'm here, I won't let you succeed!" Thor raised Mjolnir, who had recently been acting a bit promiscuous. Suddenly, dark clouds gathered and lightning flashed across the sky. He felt a surge of power within him, the perfect fusion of Thor's hammer and his own strength. Sure enough, the hammer still loved him.

In the past, Loki would have either run away or given in in the face of such a powerful Thor. But today, he was going to let Thor experience firsthand the strength of his brother.

Under Thor's bewildered gaze, Loki pulled out two battle axes, one named Warhawk and the other Iron Bear, both weapons he had once wielded. He knew then that these weapons were not for ordinary people; only a powerful warrior could wield them. With a battle roar, Loki repelled the wind and snow within a radius of several hundred meters, creating an eerie blank space. Then, as if possessed by nine dragons, his muscles rapidly swelled, and in the blink of an eye, he transformed from a slender thief into a barbarian from Mount Arreat.

At this moment, Loki was as majestic as a mountain, with his trapezius muscles like mountain ranges. His features were still delicate, but his pale skin, blood-red eyes, and volcanic rage made him seem more like a god of war descended to earth.

Thor was dumbfounded. This was his younger brother? How could he be so muscular? Had he taken some kind of drug?

Laufey, who had been observing coldly, paused for a moment, as if sensing something, and then laughed.

Laufey knew long ago that the Frost Giants were finished. Even with the destruction of Asgard and its constant suppression of Jotunheim, the remaining Frost Giants could not rise again in the cruel universe. Just like the ruins scattered throughout Jotunheim, the glory of the Frost Giants had long been a thing of the past.

Once he dies, the cosmic mercenary Sakaar Arena, having lost its only powerful Heavenly Father, will become the Frost Giant's final resting place.

Such a cruel reality caused Laufey to lose his fighting spirit, and he sat listlessly on the broken throne all day long, without even thinking of Raodin taking him down with him.

With Odin dead, Asgard will be unable to protect itself, and Jotunheim, which relies on Asgard for protection, will be completely exposed to the universe. The raiders alone will make the Frost Giants restless.

As for Laufey's original destiny, where he believed Loki's lies and went to assassinate Odin, only to be betrayed by his own son, it was all just a performance.

There are two other Marvel characters who died so hastily: the Ancient One and Odin. The difference is that these two merely took the opportunity to retire, while Laufey couldn't reach that level, so he sacrificed his life to serve Loki.

Loki is his son, and although he doesn't know why he became the second prince of Asgard, that doesn't matter. What matters is that Laufey saw hope in him.

With little hope and his own existence being the biggest threat, Laufey, like a fool, easily believed the words of the second prince of the opposing camp and went to his old rival's base to assassinate the opposing god-king.

As a result, Loki proved his loyalty to Asgard and was no longer subject to suspicion, because he had neither the power nor powerful outsiders; apart from his status as the second prince of Asgard, he had nothing.

Laufey achieved his goal, but he didn't expect his son to be so ruthless. To prove himself, he even planned to sacrifice the entire Jotunheim.

Previously, Laufey saw no hope and therefore lacked motivation. However, if the Frost Giants had a powerful and young leader, and this leader was close to Asgard and even had a right of succession, then…
Laufey's idea was not impossible. The Frost Giants were indeed in decline, but that was in the sense that as a civilization and as an army, only Asgard could rival them.

Any ambitious heir would not miss such a powerful ally. Even if they ascend to that position, the loyal Frost Giants will still be their strongest supporters, thus securing the future for the Frost Giants.

Unfortunately, Laufey was unaware of just how eccentric Odin's two sons were, which destined him to lose everything.
