Bronze door through time and space

Chapter 881 Kent's Mutation

Chapter 881 Kent's Mutation
Zatanna arrives in the island nation with her newly formed Dark Justice League. After some twists and turns, she finally finds the entrance to Takamagahara in front of the royal palace statue.

For safety reasons, only Zatanna and Wonder Woman will go, while Chadwick Bosemane, Madame de Santiago, and Kent will stay on the island to provide support.

The reason given was to provide backup, but in reality, it was to prevent Zha Kang and the other two from encountering danger, since they were heading to a completely unfamiliar divine realm.

But Kang was never an honest man, and he was indiscriminate in his tastes. He had come all the way to Tokyo, and the weather was so hot, how could he not have an in-depth experience? As a result, he got caught and his butt was turned green.

This guy may be trash, but his abilities are absolutely top-notch. He actually sensed a powerful law forming within him, which made it impossible for him to resist.

Throughout his life, Chauvin both sought power and fled from it.

This is not contradictory. In his youthful arrogance, he frantically pursued the power of magic, only to realize after tasting the bitter fruit of his own making that every miracle comes at a price.

Therefore, despite possessing top-tier talent, Zha Kang became a slacker, relying more on props and tricks to achieve his goals. If his tricks and props didn't work, he could only sacrifice his teammates.

But this doesn't mean that Zack Kang will ignore power, especially free power.

He had previously set his sights on the Cat God because he thought the other party had become a god by accident and lacked common sense, so he could trick him into giving him some free power.

Now he knows how valuable a law is and what it can bring him.

After using persuasive tactics to get Lady Shangdu to divine that the opportunity lay with the captain of the red ribbon, Zha Kang planned to leave alone.

At this point, he hadn't considered selling his teammates yet, since selling a teammate would mean losing one less, and they had to be used in crucial situations. But then Kent ran into trouble, or rather, Naboo ran into trouble. As Naboo's chosen Doctor of Fate, Kent had a close connection with him and was naturally affected as well.

While Chris did try to save people, his unreliability was also well-known at times, especially his unwillingness to pay the price.

His desire to save people but fear of getting his hands dirty naturally prevented him from saving Kent. So, he seized an opportunity to collude with the Red Ribbon Captain and sold his two teammates for a good price.

The leader of the Red Ribbon Company was a captain. He had basic military skills, but he was a complete novice when it came to politics. In addition, he was affected by the virus and became manic and irritable. Therefore, after hijacking the fleet, he did not think that far ahead. His initial idea was to lead his men to storm the mainland and burn, kill, and loot.

Occupying Pearl Harbor, unifying the islands, and issuing a declaration of independence were all Kang's ideas, and he also slept with and persuaded the other side.

As for why he did this, it was naturally to strengthen the plague law within the other party.

Such an opportunity is rare, occurring only once every few centuries. Since he has encountered it, he certainly won't be satisfied with it being so small. Therefore, feeding it until it grows up before eating it becomes the best option.

The leader of the Red Ribbon Company knew that Zha Kang was not a good person, and that even if he showed sincerity with his back turned, it wouldn't matter. But he didn't care. As long as he could get benefits, he would give the other party whatever he wanted, including imprisoning that monster.

Thinking of this, the captain of the red ribbon smiled crookedly, floored the accelerator, and Lady Shangdu shook even more violently. If she hadn't lived long enough and accumulated a lot of experience in this area, she probably would have rolled her eyes long ago.

As Doctor of Fate, Kent has had his share of bad luck, but he always manages to escape unscathed because he is the chosen one of Naboo, the god of order. But now he is truly in trouble because his nightmares are coming from Naboo.

The massive metal doors, weighing several tons, made only a low, resonant sliding sound, yet it still echoed in the empty corridor, as if an invisible ghost had passed by. Zha Kang, a cigarette dangling from his lips, paid no heed to the ash falling onto the clean, bright floor, as he walked through several doors and arrived at the end of the corridor.

"This thing can withstand nuclear bombs, but I wonder how long it can keep Dr. Fate locked up." Zha Kang said, squinting as he tapped the alloy door in front of him with his knuckles.

Enter the password and open the observation window. Kent is floating in a special container with his eyes closed, but a bump is bulging between his eyebrows, and it seems that an eye is rolling inside.

His body was even more terrifying, with root-like protrusions all over his skin, like roots growing from the eyeball on his forehead.

"It seems Naboo's situation is bad, and it's seriously affecting Kent." Chakorn lit another cigarette, exhaled a puff of smoke, and looked somewhat dazed, lost in thought.

Exhaling a smoke ring, Zacon raised his hand and drew an inverted rune on the observation window. Instantly, a blood-red filter appeared on the window, and Kent's image began to distort, as if revealing some inner essence.
As Zha Kang's gaze deepened, Kent inside the container suddenly convulsed. The roots beneath his skin writhed and burrowed deep into his flesh, their ends swelling up as if bearing plump fruits. When the fruits ripened, the skin cracked open, revealing eyeballs that shed bloody tears, twisting reality with endless malice.

"Damn it!" Without saying a word, Zha Kang turned and ran, pressing the alarm at the same time. Fully armed Red Ribbon Legion soldiers rushed past him into the passage, followed by intense gunfire and screams.

See, it's come in handy now.

Zha Kang exhaled his cigarette butt and gave a thumbs-up to his decision to betray his teammates and join the Red Ribbon Army. Apart from Lady Shangdu, who was unsure whether she had suffered a loss or gained something, no one else was hurt, right?

Tadpole-like eyeballs emerged from Kent's body and flew out like insects. Once they took root in the Red Ribbon Legion soldiers, the soldiers would roll their eyes and lose consciousness, but they would still know how to use their weapons and engage in fierce battles with the arriving reinforcements.

People infected with the red ribbon virus have physical abilities several times greater than the average person, but they also have the weakness of being irritable and easily angered, and coupled with a lack of moral bottom line, it would not be surprising if they did something.

Even with the Red Ribbon Captain, the source of the infected individuals, restraining them, they still have to release their inner beast several times a day.

But all of this is contingent on avoiding excessive stimulation, such as bloodshed, death, and war.

Chaos spread rapidly, and Pearl Harbor, the military force that terrified the bald eagle and unsettled the world, crumbled at an incredible speed.

Upon hearing the sounds of rioting, the captain of the red ribbon reacted as if on cue, kicking the back of the car and retreating without hesitation. He grabbed his gun and rushed out, leaving behind Lady Shangdu, who had rolled several times on the ground in a disheveled state.

Lady Shangdu, clutching her aching back, grumbled as she got up, but dared not waste any time. She grabbed a sheet, wrapped herself in it like a Greek, then performed some divination before running off in a certain direction, her movements quite practiced.

Unfortunately, although Lady Shangdu lived a long life, she lost her strength many times.

As for what they rely on to survive when they are down on their luck, it's only their looks.

Even when she possesses power, her strength is limited. Hundreds of years ago, she could still escape by playing tricks on those foolish farmers, but now, with an armed thug pointing his gun at her, she dares not act recklessly.
