Huineng smiled and said, "There is indeed such a novel. It tells the story of Tang Xuanzang, who, under the order of the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty, went west to the Great Leiyin Temple to obtain Buddhist scriptures. There were five of them, including the master and his disciples, and they all achieved perfect merits."
