Ultraman: It turns out this is the easy mode.
Chapter 940 Kirieloid: The woman beside Storm 1 must be his weakness, right?
The Kirieloids didn't dare provoke Frederick and Musashi—the subtle yet palpable pressure emanating from them made them instinctively wary. So they set their sights on Saeko Busujima, Miyuki Aiba, Asuka Langley Soryu, and Misato Katsuragi, thinking these women seemed "easier to deal with." Little did they know that this choice would directly lead them to their doom.
The first Kirieloid to confront Saeko Busujima had barely adopted a threatening stance when she slowly drew her sword from her waist. The blade gleamed coldly in the light. Her face showed no panic; instead, a bloodthirsty smile crept across her lips. The ruthlessness in that smile sent a chill down the Kirieloid's spine; he suddenly realized something was amiss—this woman's aura was far beyond what could be described as "easy to deal with."
On the other side, Asuka, facing the surrounding Kirieloids, pulled an axe from behind her back, gripped the handle tightly with both hands, and a wild smile spread across her face, her eyes filled with eager excitement. The Kirieloids looked at the gleaming axe, then met Asuka's gaze, and a strong unease welled up within them; they had a vague feeling that something bad was about to happen.
What drove them to despair even more was Misato Katsuragi—when the Kirieloids launched their attack, a pale blue aura suddenly enveloped Misato, and the power of the sea surged around her like waves, making even the air seem heavy. The Kirieloids sensed the destructive force contained within that power and panicked completely. This was no "easy to deal with," it was clearly something they couldn't afford to provoke!
Miyuki Aiba's counterattack showed the Kirieloids what true cruelty was. When they attempted their usual tactic—using nearby corpses to create chaos—Miyuki's eyes instantly turned icy, and the light of her Tekkaman form erupted around her. Those methods of using corpses to cause trouble immediately reminded her of her relatives who had been controlled by Radam. Old hatred and new grudges intertwined, imbuing her attacks with a chilling killing intent.
"You must die." Aiba Miyuki's voice was as cold as ice, and her attacks in Tekkaman form were all deadly. The Kirieloids finally realized that they had not only chosen the wrong opponent, but had also struck at Aiba Miyuki's most sensitive spot. The "easy targets" they had thought they had met were all powerful beings who could easily crush them, and their evil act of using corpses had completely sealed their own fate.
On the stone path of the abandoned shrine, three villager corpses, controlled by energy entities, were twisting and approaching. Their joints were bent at unnatural angles, their withered fingers stretched forward, dirt still embedded in their fingernails, and a faint reddish energy light flowed beneath their skin.
Saeko Busujima tightened her grip on her katana slightly, the blade gleaming coldly in the shrine's setting sun. Instead of retreating, she took a half-step forward, a faint, cold smile playing on her lips—the next second, the first corpse lunged at her, its withered claws aimed straight for her throat.
Saeko's figure suddenly slid half a meter to the left, her movement as light as the wind. At the same time, she flicked her wrist, her katana slashing diagonally upwards. With a crisp "whoosh," the corpse's entire right arm was severed at the shoulder, falling to the stone slab with a dull thud. Before the severed arm even hit the ground, she had already spun behind the corpse, her blade slashing down along its spine—the corpse was instantly split in two. As pale red energy emerged from the body parts, Saeko retaliated with another horizontal slash, instantly cutting the energy into three pieces, which dissipated into tiny specks of light in the air.
The remaining two corpses attacked from the left and right, one of them grabbing a broken wooden pillar beside the shrine and hurling it at Saeko's back. As if she had eyes in the back of her head, she leaped backward, dodging the pillar while her katana drew a perfect arc in the air. A flash of cold light, and the head of the corpse on the left was severed, rolling to a stop beside the stone lantern; the torso of the corpse on the right was cut off at the waist, its upper body slumping forward, its lower body still twitching and taking two steps forward under the control of the energy entity.
Saeko landed on the stone slab and turned to look at the last struggling lower half of the corpse. She slowly raised her sword, the bloodthirsty smile on her lips deepening, her eyes devoid of any pity—as the blade fell, the lower half was cleaved into three pieces, along with the remaining energy within it, all shattered.
As she sheathed her sword, her fingertips lightly brushed across the blade, wiping away the tiny bits of corpse that clung to it. The setting sun shone on her face, making her bloodthirsty smile exceptionally clear, even her eyes gleaming with excitement, as if the killing just now wasn't a battle, but a thoroughly enjoyable "performance."
Between the metal shelves of the old factory, five skeletons dressed in work clothes were being driven wildly by energy entities. They knocked over boxes of parts piled up to the side, scattering rusty wrenches and screws all over the ground, and pale red energy pulsed in their chests like restless flames.
Aiba Miyuki stood in the center of the factory, looking at the manipulated corpses, her eyes instantly turning icy. Before the corpses could get close, a silvery-white light shone around her—Tekkaman armor quickly covered her entire body, and the claws on her arms popped out with a "click," their tips gleaming with a sharp metallic sheen.
The first corpse charged forward, wielding a broken steel pipe. Miyuki didn't dodge, but instead met it head-on. Her right claws precisely gripped the corpse's wrist, twisting it sharply outwards—with a "crack," the corpse's entire arm was severed, and the steel pipe clattered to the ground. Immediately afterward, the beam blade in her left hand suddenly lit up, accompanied by a piercing buzz, slashing diagonally from the corpse's left shoulder to its groin.
The corpse was instantly sliced into four pieces, the fragments slamming against the metal shelf with a piercing clang. The energy entity had barely emerged when Miyuki kicked the adjacent shelf, causing the massive metal frame to collapse and crush the energy entity. A beam blade followed, instantly pulverizing the energy entity into tiny specks of light.
Another corpse attacked from behind the shelf, attempting to entangle Miyuki's ankle with a rusty chain. She whirled around, her claws piercing the corpse's chest cavity, and with a flick of her fingertips, she tore the torso in two. The pale red energy body struggled in her palm, but Miyuki merely sneered, her five fingers closing—the energy body was instantly crushed, falling to the ground along with fragments of the corpse.
Seeing the situation was dire, the remaining three corpses tried to escape towards the factory gate. Miyuki teleported in front of them, spreading her arms, and her beam blades transformed into two beams several meters long. She swung her arms fiercely, and the beams swept across—the first corpse was cut in half at the waist, the second was cleaved into three pieces, and the third's head and limbs were separated directly from the torso, fragments scattered all over the ground. She stood amidst the corpse fragments, her armor covered with a few specks of dust, but the killing intent in her eyes remained undiminished. Each tear seemed to vent the old hatred of being controlled by Radam years ago.
In an abandoned warehouse at the dock, the remains of four dockworkers were being approached by an energy entity. Some dragged broken anchor chains, others gripped rusty crowbars, their heavy steps pounding on the warehouse's concrete floor. Pale red energy flickered in their eye sockets, making them appear exceptionally eerie. (End of Chapter)
