Ultraman: It turns out this is the easy mode.
Chapter 945 Silent Unparalleled
In the Kirieloids' temporary stronghold, under the dim energy light, a dozen energy bodies huddled together, but there was no trace of their usual order; instead, there was a suffocating panic. This was an emergency meeting they had convened, but the topic remained the same from beginning to end: the madman Cui Ming's insane killing spree.
"Is he even human?!" An energy entity suddenly spoke, trembling, its voice filled with uncontrollable fear. "Last night, I saw him use a chainsaw to shred the three of us into pieces, leaving not even our energy cores behind!"
Before the words were even finished, another energy entity immediately chimed in, its energy fluctuations trembling violently: "That was terrifying! He didn't give anyone a chance to react! I was hiding in the ventilation duct of the abandoned factory, thinking I could escape, but he just used an iron hook to drag my companion out and killed him before he could even scream!"
"Now, every time I close my eyes, I see him holding a battle axe!" Another energy body's light flickered, as if it was about to dissipate. "Last night I had a nightmare. I dreamt that he was chasing me and hacking at me. The cold light of the axe blade was flashing in front of my eyes, and it scared my energy body so much that it almost shattered!"
In the center of the stronghold, the energy body of the former action team leader remained silent, but its light was dimmer than that of the others—he had watched his teams be wiped out one by one, and now even his hiding comrades were being hunted down and killed by Cui Ming like rats. This near-crushing slaughter completely shattered his previous hopes.
"We can't provoke him anymore. We really can't provoke him anymore." An energy body said with a sob in its voice, "We originally wanted to capture his people to blackmail him, but now, instead, he's chasing after us to kill us. If this continues, he'll wipe out all our forces on this planet!"
"Yes! Let's get out of here!" someone echoed, their voice filled with urgency. "He's a madman! A demon! If we go against him, we have no chance of survival!"
No one objected; the energy bodies of all the Kirieloids trembled, their previous arrogance and ambition replaced by fear.
They looked at each other's dim light, listened to their companions' tearful words, and the images of Cui Ming's hunt kept replaying in their minds—the buzzing of chainsaws, the chopping of battle axes, the pulling of iron hooks, each image sending chills down their spines.
"Meeting adjourned. Pack your things quickly, we must leave before dawn!" The team leader finally spoke, his voice filled with exhaustion and despair. "Tell all the surviving comrades that no one is allowed to provoke Cui Ming again. Even if you see his shadow, run immediately. Run as far away as possible!"
The energy bodies immediately scattered, frantically gathering their belongings. Their stiff fingers knocked over many energy crystals, but no one dared to stop and pick them up—Cui Ming's slaughter was like a knife hanging over their heads, making even breathing feel heavy. They only thought about escaping this planet that gave them nightmares as soon as possible, and never encountering that madman named Cui Ming again.
Suddenly, with a loud "boom," the heavy metal gate of the stronghold was kicked open and crashed heavily to the ground with a screeching metallic screech, raising a cloud of dust.
Cui Ming appeared at the doorway, his body seemingly enveloped in a chilling killing intent.
He held a chainsaw in his hand, and the moment he pressed the switch, a high-frequency vibration, "humming," filled the entire stronghold. The cold light from the saw teeth was particularly dazzling in the dim light.
He didn't utter a single word, but his gaze swept over the panicked energy bodies, his eyes devoid of any emotion, only a chilling killing intent capable of freezing the soul.
The Kirieloid closest to the door instinctively manipulated the corpse to rush towards Cui Ming, its withered arm outstretched as if to grab his throat.
But Cui didn't move an inch. He simply lifted the chainsaw and thrust it forward, the teeth striking the corpse's torso directly.
With a piercing "sizzle," the corpse was severed in half by a chainsaw. The upper body, covered in splattered ashes, crashed to the ground. The energy within the body, which had just burst out from the break, was shredded into tiny red fragments by the rapidly spinning saw teeth, which then vanished completely in a flash in the air.
Another energy entity, hiding behind the corpse, attempted a sneak attack from the side, manipulating the corpse to lift a metal plate and smash it towards Cui Ming. Cui Ming swung an iron hook from his waist, the curved hook whistling through the air, precisely hooking the corpse's ankle.
He suddenly pulled his wrist back, and with a "crash," the corpse fell heavily to the ground, and the metal plate flew out of his hand.
Cui Ming stepped forward, stomping on the corpse's chest, and pressed the chainsaw directly onto the corpse's head—with a crisp "crack," the head was shredded by the saw teeth, and the energy inside didn't even have a chance to struggle before being annihilated.
Upon seeing this, the group leader in the center of the stronghold turned red with rage and immediately manipulated three corpses to rush forward at the same time, attempting to use numbers to stop Cui Ming's advance.
But Cui Ming simply tossed aside the chainsaw and pulled out the familiar battle axe from behind his back, its blade gleaming with a dull, cold light under the energy beams.
He gripped the axe with both hands and brought it down with a mighty chop—the head of the first corpse was severed, tracing an arc in the air; the torso of the second corpse was split in two by the battle axe, energy gushing out wildly from the crack; the third corpse, seeing the situation was dire, was about to turn and run away when Cui Ming raised his arm, and the battle axe flew out with a spinning sound, accurately piercing its chest, the energy sizzling on the axe blade before quickly becoming still.
The remaining Kirieloids panicked completely. Some manipulated the corpses to try to hide behind the energy containers in the corner, while others stumbled and rushed towards the windows, trying to break them open and escape.
But Cui Ming moved like a teleporting shadow, quickly traversing the stronghold, giving them no chance to catch their breath.
He bent down to pick up the chainsaw from the ground, chased after the corpse hiding behind the container, and pierced the corpse's back, directly shredding the energy body inside. He then turned and rushed to the window, grabbed the ankle of the corpse that was about to jump out, and pulled it back hard. With his other hand, he picked up the battle axe from the ground and chopped it down on the corpse's neck—the corpse and the energy body shattered at the same time, and the shards of light splashed on the window and slowly slid down.
The phantom of Getter Emperor slowly emerged behind Cui Ming, his massive metal body almost filling the sky above the stronghold. His single, crimson eye stared intently at the carnage, occasionally letting out excited shouts: "Good! That's it! Don't give them a chance to escape! Leave no one alive!"
Cui Ming didn't utter a single word throughout the entire process; he simply kept slashing, pulling, and strangling.
The buzzing of chainsaws, the chopping of battle axes, the soft cracking of energy bodies, and the muffled thuds of corpses falling to the ground intertwined, becoming the only sounds in the stronghold.
In less than a minute, all the Kirielods in the stronghold were killed, and more than a dozen corpses lay scattered on the ground. The fragments of energy slowly dissipated in the air, like an eerie red firework.
Cui Ming stood in the center of the stronghold, his body covered in ash and residual energy, and the battle axe in his hand was still dripping dark red liquid.
He looked around, scanning every corner, and only after confirming that there were no survivors did he pick up his chainsaw and battle axe and turn to walk towards the door.
His figure disappeared through the doorway, leaving behind only a chaotic stronghold—broken metal, corpses strewn about, and the lingering smell of blood and residual energy, silently testifying to the one-sided, crushing massacre that had just occurred. (End of Chapter)
