Hogwarts: Voldemort, don't stop me from studying
Chapter 103 Deep Sea
Chapter 103 Deep Sea
Having said that, Wade couldn't just sit there and wait - the little wizards who went to challenge the levels were unlikely to die, but injuries were inevitable.
So much time has passed, I wonder how far they have come.
"I'll go check it out." Ved said to Padma, "It's almost curfew, go back to the lounge first. If I find anything, I'll tell you from the friend's book."
But Padma grabbed his sleeve and shook her head vigorously.
“Padma?”
"Michael told me the same thing..." The girl choked up, "I don't want to wait any longer... Waiting is more painful than anything else. I would rather go with you to face God and the mysterious man..."
Wade was silent for a moment, then sighed and said, "...Okay, then you follow me."
Padma nodded and followed Wade to the fourth floor.
"Meow-"
Mrs. Norris suddenly uttered a sharp roar, bent her back and stood in front of them.
Wade glanced at it and saw the dried fish scattered on the ground, seemingly motionless.
"I'm sorry, but we have to pass."
The two walked forward. Mrs. Norris first bared her teeth and took two steps back. Then she rolled her eyes and ran downstairs quickly.
"Collapse!"
Vader swung his wand, and a flash of red hit the gray cat on the back. She fell with a thump and slid to the side of the corridor.
"Great - she must want to inform Filch." Padma couldn't help but say, "How could there be such a nasty cat!"
"In the eyes of her owner, she is the most loyal and good cat."
As Vader spoke, he pushed open the half-open wooden door. Padma gasped when she saw the scene inside.
The ferocious three-headed dog was tearing a harp apart. Upon hearing the sound, it immediately looked towards the two of them and let out a low growl from its throat.
Padma's lips trembled as she spoke tremblingly, "Harry said... as long as it hears music... it will fall asleep... Can I sing to it?"
But in a hurry, she couldn't remember what she could sing.
"Music?"
Wade threw a small ball to the ground. It rolled around and pleasant piano music began to play halfway.
"What is this?" Padma asked blankly.
"To Alice, a classic work by Beethoven," Wade replied.
"No - I mean, what is this little ball?"
Padma asked as she looked at the small ball that not only sang, but also rotated and emitted colorful light.
"Music player—magic version."
"—your new invention?"
"Not really," said Wade. "It's a Muggle invention. I just made some minor modifications."
Since he knew there was a three-headed dog in the secret room, Wade naturally chose to be prepared.
Ever since the first note sounded, the originally ferocious three-headed dog began to feel drowsy, and soon fell asleep on the floor. Its six nostrils spewed out smelly hot air, and its huge body occupied most of the field of vision.
Padma mustered up her courage and walked half a circle around the three-headed dog.
"I... I heard there's supposed to be a trapdoor here... on the ground..."
They both looked at the three-headed dog at the same time.
"It seems to be suppressed by it."
Wade cast a levitation spell, and the three-headed dog was moved aside to continue lying down. As expected, a trap door appeared on the ground. Wade grabbed the ring and opened the door, and immediately heard a familiar voice -
"Great, someone is finally here!" Neville's thankful voice came: "Who is up there?" "Take out your wand, Neville!" Michael warned in a low voice: "The one up there might be their accomplice!"
Padma heard their voices and knew that they should be fine. She lay on the trapdoor and cried and laughed and said, "Michael, are you all okay?"
"Padma!" several voices shouted in surprise.
"Ved is here too, we are together!" Padma said to the people inside.
Then, several people rode on brooms and flew up through the trapdoor one after another.
Michael took Neville with him - Neville's leg was broken and still bleeding.
"It's a good thing you showed up - the three-headed dog blocked the trapdoor and we couldn't get out no matter how hard we tried," Michael explained.
There was a large bruise on Theo's face, and many small, narrow wounds on his body, as if he had been cut by many sharp knives;
One of Ryan's arms was broken at a weird angle, and he was sweating in pain;
The most seriously ill was Ron, who was brought up by Hermione - he was unconscious and his head was covered in blood.
"My God!"
Seeing the miserable plight of the crowd, Padma was so shocked that she was at a loss and tears immediately came to her eyes.
"I, I didn't bring the white moss spirit!" she said in panic.
"It's okay, I have it." Wade said, taking out a few bottles of potions from his bag and handing them to everyone: "- and painkillers."
To be honest, he admired these children - despite such serious injuries as broken limbs, none of these 11 or 12-year-old children cried or screamed or rolled on the ground. Many adults could not do that either.
——Perhaps magic has given them some kind of innate ability to endure pain... or heal injuries?
Ryan drank the painkiller in one gulp and said palely, "Harry is still down there."
"What happened in there?" Padma looked at the dark hole with fear: "Did you meet... that person?"
"No." Hermione crossed her hands unconsciously, and she said nervously: "If Quirrell and Snape wanted to steal the Philosopher's Stone, they should have gone to the last level... The black flame blocked their way, and there was only one potion that could allow a person to pass through the flames safely... Harry chose to go alone..."
Padma exclaimed, “Isn’t he afraid of death?”
——Of course he was afraid, but he still chose to face it.
The friend book in Wade's hand suddenly began to heat up. He opened it and saw a message from McGee: [It's okay].
The word "It's OK" can be interpreted in many ways, but at this moment, it only means one thing -
Dumbledore is back.
"Go to the school infirmary first." Wade closed the friend book and said calmly: "Even if it's just for the sake of your injuries, Madam Pomfrey will contact Dumbledore immediately."
The latter sentence convinced everyone, and they rushed to the school infirmary as quickly as possible. The students they met along the way all had terrified expressions on their faces - they probably thought that these little wizards had fought a life-and-death fight.
When they arrived at the school infirmary, they saw a tall and thin figure from afar, with long silver-white hair that could almost be tucked into his belt.
——Dumbledore was hurriedly walking towards the school infirmary, holding a black-haired boy in his arms.
"Harry—" Hermione jumped off her broom and flew over.
Harry Potter had his eyes closed and was covered with scars. The lightning-shaped scar on his forehead was red and swollen as if he had just been injured, and his hands looked like they had been scalded by boiling water.
The girls burst into tears immediately.
Vader looked at Dumbledore -
The greatest White Wizard wasn't as calm and gentle as usual, or as slightly childishly crazy... there was obvious worry written on his face.
But besides worry, there is something else... an emotion as deep as the ocean...
