Hogwarts: Voldemort, don't stop me from studying
Chapter 104 Return to the Chamber of Secrets
Chapter 104 Return to the Chamber of Secrets
Suddenly taking over so many wounded people, Madam Pomfrey thought that some army of dark wizards had invaded Hogwarts. Fortunately, for wizards, broken arms and legs were just minor problems, and she dealt with them quickly.
The trouble was Harry Potter, who remained unconscious. Madam Pomfrey had talked to Dumbledore and had arranged for Harry to be in a separate ward.
Wade took out the packed food and shared it with everyone - they seemed to realize that they were already starving. While the little wizards were wolfing down their food, they also told Wade what happened under the trapdoor.
In order to protect the Philosopher's Stone, the professors in the school set up many mechanisms. The first one was a Devil's Net laid under the trapdoor to prevent them from falling to their death. Unfortunately Neville didn't choose a good landing point and broke his leg at the first level. After that, he could only wait nearby.
Then it was a matter of catching the right key from the flock of keys that were flying like birds. Harry made full use of his talent as a seeker to catch the key, while Theo was scratched all over by the keys in order to protect others.
Then there was a dangerous game of wizard chess. Ron, who came with Harry, won the game, but was hit hard on the head by the opponent's chess piece and fainted. He has not woken up yet.
Next came a troll, which was bigger and more ferocious than the one encountered on Halloween. The little wizards used all their strength to defeat the troll. Ryan broke his arm there, and the others were also injured.
Vader was a little surprised: "——Troll?"
"Yeah, a stinking giant monster." Theo sighed, "I can't believe you defeated that monster half a year ago without any damage!"
"If the trolls were Quirrell's level, then he must have released the Halloween one to create chaos," Michael said. "I heard he pretended to be frightened and fainted at that time!"
Wade frowned and said nothing more.
——The original trio did not encounter the giant monster.
Butterfly effect? Or...
"In the last level, we were trapped in a room with flames. One bottle of potion left by Professor Snape could go forward, one could go back, and the rest were poison and nettle wine."
Hermione's lips trembled slightly as she said, "I solved the puzzle Snape left behind, Harry moved forward, the rest of us each drank a sip of the potion, and then found Ron and Neville, trying to return the same way...you all know the rest."
She twisted her fingers tightly, her tone still calm, rational, and clear, but her hair seemed to stand on end, and her body was as tense as a bowstring.
"Hermione!" Padma suddenly came over and hugged Hermione: "Don't worry... and don't blame yourself... It was Harry's choice to confront that man, it's not your fault... and he will recover, right?"
She gently pulled the girl's hand away, only to see bloody scratches all over the back of Hermione's hand.
"You don't understand, Padma."
Hermione leaned on Padma's shoulder and tears fell without warning.
She choked and said, "There was no bottom under the trapdoor. Harry was the first to jump down when he didn't know that there was a devil's net to catch us... He also said... If anything happened to him, we would return immediately... I really..."
Padma gently stroked her back, vaguely understanding why Hermione was crying now.
Not only was I worried about my friend who was unconscious... but also because after returning to a safe environment, the despair and fear of watching my friend die surged from the bottom of my heart...
She looked at the people around her - although the boys didn't cry, there seemed to be something different between their brows... It was as if everyone had undergone some kind of transformation without noticing...
Suddenly there was a noisy sound at the door -
"No, Potter hasn't woken up yet, no visits allowed!" Madam Pomfrey said sternly.
"Ma'am, we're here to visit Theo and Ryan - we're both from Hufflepuff house," someone pleaded at the door.
"…Okay, no noise." Madam Pomfrey gave in.
Then a crowd of people came in from the door - these students probably saw Theo and others riding brooms through the corridor with injuries, and ran to ask for information. When the injured were surrounded by "visitors", Michael and Wade exchanged glances - probably because they were both intact, they were regarded as spectators by others and did not pay much attention.
So the two of them squeezed out of the school infirmary smoothly.
"I want to go to the secret room again."
When they reached the door, Michael exhaled and said to Wade, "Since Dumbledore has brought Harry out, the flames blocking the road may have disappeared... I want to see what happened in the last chamber of secrets."
"Let's go together," said Weed.
"Of course." Michael laughed. "I guess you must be curious about how Harry Potter managed to turn danger into safety again."
In fact, Vader was not curious.
He just... wanted to go and take a look.
The level under the trapdoor was almost completely destroyed. The two men rode on brooms and passed through the stone corridors and brightly lit rooms smoothly until they reached the end.
This was a fairly spacious room with an arched roof, tall stone pillars embedded in the middle of the stone walls, and remnants of fire burning all around.
There was also a huge mirror in the room, with a gorgeously decorated golden frame and a string of words carved on it, supported by two claw-shaped feet underneath.
"Look, Vader."
Michael suddenly squatted down, poked a wizard robe by the steps with his wand, and whispered, "If I remember correctly, this is Professor Quirrell's robe - look, the scarf is also -"
He suddenly stopped talking, looked in horror at the dust wrapped in his robe, and stepped back stiffly.
Instead, Wade took a step forward, produced a cylindrical bottle, and collected some of the dust on the ground.
"Wade!" Michael felt his scalp tingling and shrieked, "Do you know what this is?"
"The remains of Professor Quirrell—and the carrier of You-Know-Who."
Wade closed the bottle cap, looked at the smoky gray dust inside and said, "What if this comes in handy?"
Suddenly, as if something was awakened, eerie voices came from all directions.
"From dust to dust, from ashes to ashes..."
"If you disturb the dead, the living will die... The dead are nameless and receive no reward..."
"Ved Grey... Michael Corner... do you wish to journey into eternal rest..."
Michael's hands and feet suddenly became weak, and goose bumps appeared all over his body. He grabbed Wade's arm and said with a pale face: "Wade, Wade...you, you, you, you, throw those things away quickly..."
Wade felt a chill all over his body for a moment, but soon he discovered something -
"Weasley?"
Vader said softly.
