Chapter 80: Survival on the Island (Seeking Follow-up Reading)

"The flight that Jiang Huai took back to China lost contact, and his name was on the list of victims released by the airline..."

Shen Zhuo took a deep breath, "I understand, Miss."

"I'll have someone investigate. Don't worry too much."

"Um……"

.......
In a sea area in Southeast Asia.

There was a small piece of airplane wreckage on the shore of an isolated island. The sea water rose and fell from time to time, and a figure was washed ashore along with the broken parts.

After an unknown amount of time, the figure was awakened by the tide.

Jiang Huai sat up and looked at the scars on his hands. "I'm still alive?"

He felt a little unlucky to have encountered a plane crash, but he was also lucky to have survived a plane crash at such a high altitude.

"Have we drifted to an island?" Jiang Huai looked around. Apart from the lush forests on the island, there was only an endless coastline.

"I'm so hungry..." Jiang Huai touched his stomach, which was already growling.

There were several suitcases next to the wreckage of the plane. Jiang Huai ran over and dragged all the suitcases to the shore, and then opened them.

Basically, they are all clothes, including autumn clothes, autumn trousers, JK uniforms, and black stockings...

None of them are useful.

There was only one box left, Jiang Huai prayed for "Grandpa's blessing" and opened it.

There was a power bank inside, which seemed to be still useful, but Jiang Huai’s phone had been soaked in sea water for too long and could no longer be turned on.

There was also a glass carafe and a few bags of toast, which was not bad.

Jiang Huai packed the useful things into a suitcase and then dragged the suitcase along the coast.

"Can there be help?"

The coast was covered in white, and Jiang Huai couldn't help feeling lost.

Occasionally, seabirds fly over the sea. They fly swiftly and are the only sign of life above the sea, adding a touch of vitality to the monotonous sea view. Apart from this, there is nothing else.

"Someone!"

There was a person lying on the beach in the distance. Jiang Huai ran over quickly and took a closer look. He saw that it was a middle-aged man.

Jiang Huai pushed the man and said, "Hey! Wake up!"

The man was motionless and had no reaction. Jiang Huai's heart sank. He reached out to feel the man's breath. A chill rushed straight to Jiang Huai's head. The man was not breathing...

"Huh!" Jiang Huai let out a breath and put his hand on the man's chest again, but he could not feel his heart beating.

he died.

The man was not as lucky as Jiang Huai, he died in the plane crash.

Jiang Huai dragged the man's body ashore, then left with his suitcase. He didn't have the time to dig a hole to bury the man, as it would only be a waste of his effort.

"We met by chance and never said a word to each other. Don't blame me for being heartless." Jiang Huai muttered casually.

After walking along the coastline for half an hour, Jiang Huai found a total of six bodies and some mechanical wreckage. Jiang Huai was very worried about Su Momo's safety. The sun was very strong at noon. There was still some fresh water in the glass water bottle that Jiang Huai got. He sipped it in small sips. Before there was another source of water, he could only save as much as possible.

Jiang Huai took out another piece of clothing from the suitcase and tied it on his head to avoid dehydration from the sun.

After walking for another fifteen minutes, Jiang Huai saw another island.

The other island is some distance away from the island where Jiang Huai is located, but the island opposite looks larger.

Jiang Huai retracted his gaze and continued walking along the coastline. He had to at least circle the island he was on now to see if he could find Su Momo. If he couldn't find her, Jiang Huai planned to go to the big island opposite to have a look.

Half an hour later, Jiang Huai couldn't walk anymore. The sun was too hot and the air was so hot that you could even see heat waves. Jiang Huai went to the shade of a tree to cool off.

It was not until dusk that the temperature gradually improved. Jiang Huai hesitated whether to continue his journey because night was approaching and he had no lighting. It would be dangerous if he walked along the coast rashly.

But if we don't keep going, the tide will rise at night and many things will be dragged into the sea.

After considering for a long time, Jiang Huai decided to stay where he was. Without light, he really didn't feel safe at all.

Taking advantage of the last rays of sunset, Jiang Huai looked around the shade of the tree to see if there were any snakes or insects. After making sure there were none, he picked a clean-looking tree and sat under it, waiting for night to fall.

"When will the rescue team arrive?" Jiang Huai gave a bitter smile. The empty island was very quiet, and he was surrounded by anxiety and fear.

Jiang Huai could only hold on to the suitcase tightly to comfort himself and feel a little safe.

Jiang Huai's forehead ached due to the sea breeze all night long, and he couldn't sleep well. When the sky turned white in the morning, Jiang Huai continued to walk along the coastline.

.......
"We're finally here!" Jiang Huai returned to the place where he first woke up and saw the wreckage.

Along the way, he saw a total of thirteen corpses, none of them alive.

Jiang Huai now planned to visit another large island. He went into the woods and broke off a stick. After trying it out, he found it was quite useful, so he decided to use it for self-defense.

The distance between the two islands didn't seem too far, and he could swim directly there.

The suitcase was about to be discarded, so Jiang Huai tied the bread and the glass water bottle to his body with clothes, and then set off to the coast between the two islands.

Holding a stick, he slowly went into the water.

The water level didn’t seem to be particularly deep, always at the waist level of Jianghuai, but we had only walked less than half the distance.

The sea area in the middle will only get deeper and deeper. Jiang Huai prayed in his heart that he would not encounter any sharks or the like, otherwise he would really die here.

Sure enough, when they reached the middle sea area, the water level became deeper. Jiang Huai could only stand on tiptoe to barely expose his face to breathe, and there were more fish nearby.

It was not suitable to walk at this time, so Jiang Huai threw himself into the sea and began to swim towards the shore. After swimming for a while, the water level gradually rose.

Jiang Huai felt something wrapped around his legs, but it did not affect his swimming. When the water reached his chest level, Jiang Huai stood firmly on his feet. He saw a sea snake wrapped around his left leg, and he was almost scared to death.

"Fuck!" Jiang Huai suppressed his fear and grabbed the snake's head, pulled it off his legs, and then threw it away.

Jiang Huai ran desperately towards the shore, fearing that the sea snake would come after him again.

After getting ashore, Jiang Huai sat on the ground and checked whether there were any wounds on his left leg.

"Phew, luckily I wasn't bitten."

Jiang Huai was breathing heavily. The sun had grown a little brighter, so he took out a glass water bottle and replenished some fresh water.
