Chapter 532 The Opportunity to Become an Ancestor! A Possibility Spanning the Present and the Future

Chapter 532 The Opportunity to Become an Ancestor! A Possibility Spanning the Present and the Future!
Luo Fu was genuinely taken aback.

The Buddha's golden body, which was sixteen feet tall, was actually defiled by Sun Wukong?

When did this happen? How come he doesn't know?
In Luo Fu's memory, the Buddha clearly and easily suppressed Sun Wukong under the Five Fingers Mountain.

How could even the golden statue be defiled?

This is something that neither happened nor could have happened. Although Sun Wukong has an extraordinary background and amazing combat power, in front of Buddha, he is just a little monkey who can be easily manipulated.

However, Luo Fu quickly realized that the so-called defilement of the golden body did not mean that the golden body was damaged.

You should know that when the Buddha was swallowed whole by the Peacock King Bodhisattva, in order to avoid being pulled out and defiling his golden body, he simply broke through the peacock's back and crawled out.

While Sun Wukong was causing havoc in the Heavenly Palace and making a bet with the Buddha, he was indeed unable to escape the Buddha's palm using his somersault cloud.

But he also did something utterly heinous.

He urinated in the Buddha's hand.

The Buddha is the head of Buddhism. Even though Sun Wukong is a spiritual stone monkey with an extraordinary background, his urine is still considered filthy by the supreme and noble Buddha's golden body.

For the World-Honored One, the defiled golden body was obviously unusable, so it was reasonable for it to be directly annihilated into a relic.

After all, the essence of the sixteen-foot golden body is the manifestation body, an image shown to save sentient beings. Luofu, who cultivates the wondrous Dharma of the golden body, understands this better than anyone.

For Buddhist practitioners, the Dharmakaya is the fundamental principle. It is formless and without appearance, pervading time and space, and is not subject to the limitations of birth and death. This is the true fruit of the path, the essential essence of the path for practitioners.

Damage to the Dharma body is the real major event that shakes the foundation. As for the manifest body, it is more like a revealed form, which is not damaged in essence. Even if it is annihilated into relics, it is just another manifestation.

Even the damage to the physical body is less than the damage to the reward body formed by the accumulation of wisdom and merit.

To use a somewhat inappropriate analogy, the manifest body is like clothing, the reward body is like flesh and blood, and the Dharma body is the primordial spirit and true self. This is why the reward body is often the solemn and perfect fixed image of Buddhist practitioners.

Clothes can be changed at will, but the flesh and blood body cannot.

The manifested body can be discarded at will. Not to mention the Tathagata, even Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva has manifested thirty-three manifestations. These manifestations are the manifested bodies of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. Among these manifestations, there is even the fish basket Avalokiteshvara who gave away her flesh. It can be seen that the manifested body is what kind of human essence a great Buddhist practitioner is.

Of course, although the manifestation body is the form that appears to guide sentient beings, like clothes that can be discarded at will, it also depends on whose manifestation body it is.

The owner of this relic is the Buddha, the current leader of Buddhism.

Especially since it was transformed from the sixteen-foot-tall golden body after its extinction.

For Luofu, whose fundamental teaching is the wondrous method of the Golden Body, obtaining this relic is like receiving answers to the questions and difficulties encountered by the Buddha during his cultivation of the sixteen-foot-tall Golden Body.

It is a bug that can greatly accelerate the cultivation of the Luofu Golden Body Wonderful Method, and it is also a rare Buddhist treasure.

As for the claim that this relic was formed from the annihilation of Sun Wukong's golden body after it was defiled by his urine, it is said that this relic was formed from the annihilation of his sixteen-foot-tall golden body.

Luo Fu didn't care about this.

The Buddha passed away because he was the head of Buddhism and had to maintain its dignity. His Dharma body, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya had to be perfect and flawless, without the slightest imperfection.

This is also necessary for promoting the true Dharma.

However, for cultivators who also practice the Buddhist system, there is no such taboo.

If one cannot even understand this point, then there is no chance of achieving enlightenment in Buddhism.

After realizing what this relic was all about, Luo Fu took it from Huang Mei's hands. He bowed once towards the direction of the Western Paradise and said, "Disciple Ruzhen thanks Your Majesty for your guidance and the gift of this treasure."

For Luofu, the significance of this relic lies more in its symbolic meaning than in the relic itself.

After all, this relic contains the process and secrets of how the Buddha cultivated his golden body.

For Luofu, it holds immense, even unparalleled, significance.

Xitianling Mountain.

The Buddha, who was preaching, paused slightly and glanced at Venerable Kasyapa beside him.

Venerable Kasyapa was puzzled.

At this moment, all the Bodhisattvas, Arhats, and monks around the altar noticed the actions of the Buddha and Venerable Kasyapa.

Just when everyone thought this would be another story about picking flowers.

The Buddha, however, said inexplicably, "Venerable Kasyapa, bring me a copy of the palm-leaf scripture. On your journey to the West, you will have a fortuitous encounter!"

Although he did not understand why, Venerable Kasyapa did not dare to be negligent. He hurriedly took a palm-leaf scripture and presented it to the World-Honored One, Tathagata.

The Buddha did not take it, but casually waved his sleeve towards the palm-leaf sutra.

The next moment, the text on the palm-leaf manuscript suddenly changed, and enveloped by a beam of Buddhist light, it flew out of Mount Ling and disappeared in an instant.

Luo Fu, who had just bowed in gratitude towards the Western Paradise and had not yet returned to Huanghua Temple, was unaware of this.

The Huanghua Temple, originally a Taoist temple, inexplicably transformed into a Buddhist temple before he even returned.

Its name clearly corresponds to the future Buddha Ruzhen's attainment in Luofu. The four large characters on the plaque read "Ruzhen Zen Temple".

The deities enshrined in the temple were no longer Taoist deities, but instead the previously unseen Namo Ruzhen Buddha.

Moreover, beneath the golden Buddha statue of Ruzhen Buddha, there is an additional palm-leaf scripture specifically praising Ruzhen Buddha.

However, this palm-leaf manuscript, which is clearly an authentic Buddhist scripture, contains entirely fabricated content.

It tells the story of a Buddha who never existed and never happened, who, under the guidance of Venerable Kasyapa, realized his past life and attained Buddhahood. The story is full of praise for this so-called Buddha.

Originally, this ordeal was supposed to be caused by the seven spider demons of the Spider Cave, which involved the Hundred-Eyed Demon Lord of the Yellow Flower Temple. However, the Hundred-Eyed Demon Lord has now followed Bodhisattva Pilanpo into Purple Cloud Mountain and Thousand Flower Cave, leaving this ordeal to Luofu.

As for Luo Fu, apart from his origins being closely related to the underworld witch clan, he can be considered a true Buddhist disciple.

Of course, one cannot conduct business within a Taoist temple.

This is a difficult thing to do, and it doesn't sound good. If one day Luofu attains the position of the Buddha Namo Ruzhen, how will he face the Daoist community?

As for the purely fabricated stories in this palm-leaf manuscript, for Buddhist masters like the Buddha, Rabjam, or even Venerable Kasyapa, it was merely a matter of a thought, and in a small world, they could easily reverse cause and effect.

The leaders of Buddhism and Taoism, in most of their scriptures, are said to have come from mysterious worlds and countries.

Just like Luofu today, it belongs to the method of turning effect into cause and falsehood into reality.

In the presence of a cultivator who can reverse cause and effect and make falsehoods seem true, past experiences are often unimportant. Moreover, what they fabricate is indeed true.

Even the Jade Emperor cultivated for 1,750 kalpas, and each kalpa lasted 129,600 years, which adds up to 229,800,000 years.

Many cultivators may not know the Jade Emperor's origins now, but Luo Fu knows that the so-called identity of Zhang Bairen, which is now circulating, before the Jade Emperor sat on the throne of the supreme ruler of the Three Realms, is not entirely false, because it was indeed just one of the Jade Emperor's incarnations during his nearly 230 million years of life.

The Jade Emperor's true origins are that of the Jade Emperor himself, who served the Dao Ancestor Hongjun in the Zixiao Palace at the beginning of the creation of heaven and earth. This is the true origin and background of the Jade Emperor.

Just like now, this palm-leaf manuscript records the enlightenment experience of Ruzhen Buddha of Luofu.

All that is needed is for Luofu to manifest an incarnation and, within a small, ever-changing world, traverse the experiences described in the "Buddha's Discourse on the True and Wonderful Dharma Golden Body Sutra" as recorded in the palm-leaf manuscript. Furthermore, during this process, an incarnation of Venerable Kasyapa may appear as an actor, completing all the experiences recorded in this palm-leaf manuscript.

In this way, Luofu will naturally become the true and unfailing Buddha of the Wondrous Dharma.

Although the title of Buddha is quite precise, Luofu now seems to have the potential to span the present and the future.

Of course, Luofu's foundation lies in the future, but for now, with this Sutra of the True and Wonderful Dharma of the Buddha, he has received the endorsement of the World-Honored One Tathagata, and even the Venerable Kasyapa has participated.

In this Buddhist scripture, the stories are naturally fabricated, but they are not entirely devoid of any truth.

Almost all Buddhist scriptures, whether Mahayana Tripitaka or Theravada Buddhism, contain wisdom on spiritual practice.

Just like when Tang Sanzang received the Heart Sutra from Zen Master Wuchao, he had the effect of cultivating Bodhicitta.

This Buddhist scripture, the Sutra of the Golden Body of the True Dharma, is mostly composed of meaningless stories, but it does contain some secrets for cultivating the golden body of Buddhism.

Whether one can truly understand it depends on their individual comprehension; in this vast world, among all living beings, such talent is truly one in ten thousand.

As stated in the Great Celestial Immortal Manual transmitted by Patriarch Subhuti to Sun Wukong, "Without encountering a sage to impart the wondrous secrets, empty words will only leave one weary and tongue parched." This supreme method of cultivation is even more difficult than advanced mathematics.

If you understand, you understand; if you don’t understand, you don’t understand.

Without enlightenment, even if one meticulously explains and explains the profound teachings of the Golden Body, one cannot save all sentient beings.

To some extent, hiding the true secrets of spiritual practice in Buddhist scriptures that seem to be just telling stories is a great wisdom. On the one hand, it allows us to select those who are truly dedicated to spiritual practice; on the other hand, without the awareness to study diligently, it is impossible to understand the hidden secrets of spiritual practice in Buddhist scriptures.

Not everyone is like Sun Wukong, who possessed extraordinary innate talent. After entering Lingtai Fangcun Mountain, he was able to unleash his potential and become a Taiyi Golden Immortal in just three years of cultivation.

Luofu, however, is a complete exception.

The moment Luofu returned from Xiaoleiyin Temple once again.

Seeing that the original Huanghua Temple had been transformed into Ruzhen Temple, although the architectural layout had not changed much, the style had completely changed from a Taoist style to a Buddhist temple layout.

Of the Taoist priests who originally lived in Huanghua Temple, 30% had already left without saying goodbye.

After all, having witnessed the miraculous transformation of Huanghua Temple from a Taoist temple into a Buddhist temple in that instant, these Taoist priests, who belonged only to the orthodox sect of Taoism, were well aware that this was the work of a true master, and it was not their place to comment.

People with different paths cannot work together. If we don't leave, are we supposed to wait until we are ordained as monks?
The Taoist priests who remained had already wisely changed their ways upon their return from Luofu. They all changed into monks' robes, waiting to complete the tonsure ceremony after their return from Luofu, thus transforming them from Taoist priests into Buddhist monks.

Upon seeing Luofu's return, the original Taoist priests of Huanghua Temple, now resembling monks of Zhenchan Temple, hurriedly stepped forward to pay their respects, addressing him as "Your Excellency."

Even the seven spider demons had changed into monk robes, but the colors of the robes remained bright and luxurious, still divided into seven colors.

While Buddhist monks have a tradition of tonsure, this is not an absolute rule for Luofu, the site of the True and Wonderful Dharma.

Putting aside other matters, among the highly accomplished Buddhist practitioners, there are countless Arhats and Bodhisattvas who have never been ordained.

Although Luofu's fundamental practice is the Golden Body Method, it is derived from the secret of transforming wrathful deities into the body of a Wisdom King, and thus developed into the method of using emotion to control emotion through the union of form and emptiness.

Refining the seven emotions into emotional threads is not only a protective supernatural power, but also a branch of the eight hundred unorthodox sects.

It can be considered a great technique comparable to the orthodox Taoist immortal system.

For someone to be ordained as a monk, it's not considered a very strict precept.

Of course, due to the nature of the True Dharma Buddhist system, whether or not one is ordained is irrelevant, but Luofu Temple will not force one to do so.

This is because his forces now comprise two major systems: the Golden Body Mystic Method and the Seven Emotions Controlling Desires. In addition, the localized shared forces can also improve and strengthen the systems under Luo Fu's command.

This would allow Luofu to become a major branch of Buddhism, much like Zhen Yuanzi.

Although Luofu is no match for Zhen Yuanzi, the ancestor of earth immortals, their path of seeking the Dao through methods is the same.

However, Luo Fu is not yet qualified to be an ancestor. After all, Zhen Yuanzi, the ancestor of the Earth Immortals, is also an ancestor, and in terms of seniority, he is equal to the Buddha.

In the era of Journey to the West, the concepts of ancestor and lineage were clearly distinct.

Just like the three stars of fortune, prosperity, and longevity, they are the ancestors, and there are very few of them in the three realms.

If Luo Fu can strengthen his own branch, he can one day be called the True Buddha Sect. Unless several more powerful figures come to the shared space, whether he can become a Buddha depends on luck.

It was transformed from Huanghua Temple into Ruzhen Chan Temple, a Buddhist temple.

Abbot Luofu was quite adept at handling things; with just a few minor adjustments, he was able to complete the entire transformation process. With the help of the seven spider demons, he completed all the changes in a short period of time.

When these remaining Taoists heard that, according to the true Zen school, whether or not one should be ordained depends entirely on oneself, not a single one of them chose to be ordained.

In this way, the so-called Ruzhen Zen Temple seems somewhat incongruous.

Despite being named a Zen temple, the abbot, Luo Fu, and his disciples all wore their hair in topknots and monk's robes. There were even seven female relatives, including spider demons, who frequently stayed there.

This made Ruzhen Temple famous for miles around, making it a unique and distinctive place.
