Chapter 533 Advancing to the Immortal Golden Immortal! The Human Relationships of Gods and Buddhas!

Chapter 533 Advancing to the Immortal Golden Immortal! The Human Relationships of Gods and Buddhas!

After completing the renovation of Ruzhen Temple, Luofu began to carefully study the golden relic belonging to the Buddha.

For Luo Fu, this golden relic was like a hands-on guide, teaching him how to gradually strengthen his golden body and improve his cultivation.

In particular, the Buddhist power within the golden relic was as if the Buddha himself had bestowed a generous gift upon his junior brother, Luofu.

In a short period of time, Luo Fu even began to break through the bottleneck of the Xuanxian realm, and could advance to the realm of the Immortal Golden Immortal in the blink of an eye.

In terms of the Buddhist power within this golden relic, if Luo Fu were to treat it as a disposable tool and drain its Buddhist power, in his judgment, it could even solidify his Taiyi Golden Immortal realm and give him a glimpse into the Great Luo realm.

However, if you actually do that, this golden relic will be completely ruined.

Not to mention that doing so would be too wasteful, just the fact that this relic was transformed from the Buddha's golden body when he subdued Sun Wukong makes it impossible for him to do it this way.

For Luofu, the direct improvement of his cultivation and spiritual attainment from these relics is secondary; the key is their symbolic significance. They were bestowed by the Buddha, which means he is on the side of the future Buddha of the East.

However, one should not act like a brainless pawn in internal conflicts within Buddhism.

We are all Buddhist disciples, so at least a semblance of harmony must be maintained.

Moreover, this relic is also a symbol of Luofu's own identity.

It's like a leader writing a large calligraphy piece for you; its calligraphic value and economic value are secondary, its political significance is the key.

Luo Fu had clearly seen the current situation and would not waste this golden relic.

However, if a portion of his power is extracted, he will reach the level of a Taiyi Golden Immortal, at least to the point where he cannot be beaten by the monkey.

Moreover, under the personal guidance of the Golden Body Relic, Luo Fu clearly understood the many taboos and mysteries of the Golden Body Dharma.

Only those at the Immortal Golden Immortal level can cultivate their golden body to possess immortal golden nature. The golden body at the Profound Immortal level is actually closer to a form of magic for combat; it belongs to the law rather than the Dao, like Erlang Shen and Sun Wukong's Dharma of Heaven and Earth.

While Luo Fu was busy cultivating and improving his fundamental competitiveness.

The westward journey team finally had all its members. After crossing the Flowing Sand River, the next challenge was none other than the Four Sages testing the Zen mind.

Luo Fu didn't care about any of this, since it was none of his business.

The Four Sages tested the Zen mind, which was the seventeenth difficulty. But when it came time for Luofu to step in, it was already the fifty-ninth and sixtieth difficulties.

Luo Fu and his spider demons, along with many disciples of the True Sect within the Zen Temple, only needed to resolve the two difficulties to successfully complete their mission on the journey to the West.

As for other things, that's not Luofu's place.

You should know that for each of the eighty-one tribulations, there is merit to be gained.

Ordinary monsters who rashly get involved will only lose their lives and become ashes in the tribulation on the journey to the West.

Each tribulation is a process in which powerful beings weigh the pros and cons, secretly manipulate events, and sometimes even personally intervene.

With his background, aptitude, comprehension, and talent, plus the help of this golden relic.

Before the westward journey team arrives, it shouldn't be a problem to have Luofu reach the level of a Taiyi Golden Immortal, enough to rival Sun Wukong.

Luo Fu knew very well that compared to the tribulations of the past, the tribulations of the Journey to the West were clearly the beginning of the Dharma-ending Age. No matter how much one schemed and calculated, it was not as important as consolidating one's own cultivation and spiritual practice.

While Luofu was single-mindedly cultivating and improving his cultivation level.

The Buddha's teachings on the Golden Body of the True Dharma, which originated from the Ruzhen Zen Temple, also began to circulate in many small kingdoms in Hezhou during the westward journey.

Starting from Xiniuhezhou, this vast region lacked large states, resembling almost the city-state system of the Western Middle Ages.

A city or a country is a perfectly normal thing.

Although the Buddha described the Southern Jambudvipa, where the Tang Dynasty was located, as a place of greed, lust, lewdness, violence, and strife, a battlefield of words and a sea of evil, there were actually no demons that could gain any real power in the Tang Dynasty.

On the contrary, in Xiniu Hezhou, a place praised by the Buddha as a place where people are neither greedy nor murderous, where they cultivate their inner energy and nurture their spirits, and where, although there are no supreme beings, everyone enjoys longevity, those demons live far too comfortably.

Lion Camel Ridge is practically under the Buddha's feet. The three great demons there can devour people, creating a scene of hell on earth.

This shows just how miserable the lives of the people in Xiniu Hezhou were.

In such an environment, where life is incredibly difficult and people are constantly at risk of becoming food for monsters, ordinary people and sentient beings have no choice but to place their hopes on illusory faith.

Whether other powerful figures in Buddhism can intervene in affairs depends on the individual.

However, under the Zhen Chan sect, there are many who cultivate the Seven Emotions to control desires. The methods of refining the emotional threads can not only refine one's own seven emotions, but also refine the seven emotions of others to strengthen one's own magical power.

This led to the fact that during their secluded cultivation in Luofu, from the seven spider demons to the newly ordained monks of Ruzhen Temple, they would frequently manifest miracles in the human world, using these opportunities to refine the seven emotions of sentient beings and strengthen their own magical power and spiritual cultivation.

In this way, the name of the Buddha of True Dharma became a widely known faith for thousands of miles around in a short period of time.

The blessing of faith and the strengthening of the seven emotions enabled Luo Fu to surpass the realm of the Immortal Golden Immortal in a short period of time and head straight for the Taiyi Golden Immortal.

The tribulations of Journey to the West were meticulously planned.

The faith in the Buddha of True Dharma of Luofu grew rapidly, and other Buddhist practitioners certainly wouldn't just stand by and watch.

Especially when the monks of Ruzhen Temple felt that the method of controlling desires through the seven emotions was comparable to the demonic path, extracting the seven emotions of all living beings and transforming them into their own cultivation, their strength rapidly increased, and they began to spread the teachings to the Kingdom of Zhu Zi.

Guanyin Bodhisattva, who was behind the calamity of Zhu Zi Kingdom, finally couldn't sit still any longer.

Indeed, even the monks of Ruzhen Temple who still had their hair were beginning to accept the invitation from the King of Zhu Zi Kingdom to deal with his mount, the Golden-haired Roar.

Nowadays, the Journey to the West is the top priority for everyone in Buddhism. So why is the newly created Ruzhen Miaofa Buddha of Luofu trying to seize territory?
Regardless of the internal disputes within Buddhism, all Buddhist practitioners should prioritize the overall situation at present.

Without a doubt, for the entire Three Realms, nothing is more important than the Journey to the West team.

Although Luo Fu's cultivation level is not high, he has only just advanced to the Immortal Golden Immortal realm and is still some distance away from the Taiyi Golden Immortal realm.

But behind him lies a vast background and connections.

Even Guanyin Bodhisattva can only make the trip herself.

On this day, Luo Fu, who was cultivating, suddenly felt a sudden urge.

He immediately ordered his many monks with hair and the seven spider demons to sweep and clean the temple. In the Ruzhen Sect, the seven spider demons were not monsters, but the seven great monasteries. Although their attainment of enlightenment had not yet been recognized by the Buddha of Mount Ling, the head of Buddhism, their status and position in the Ruzhen Sect were already confirmed.

They relied on methods that, even within Buddhism, were still considered unorthodox and heretical.

These monks, who were originally from Huanghua Temple but are now from Ruzhen Temple, quickly transformed the entire temple and cleaned it spotless in a short time after Luofu gave the order.

It was as if they had worked together in perfect harmony with Luofu.

We have just finished cleaning Ruzhen Temple.

In the sky, accompanied by the moving sounds of Zen Buddhist music, flowers rained down and clusters of auspicious clouds and Buddhist light covered the sky. A figure sitting on a lotus platform appeared in everyone's sight under the light of the Buddha.

The moment they saw the newcomer, the seven former spider demons, now the seven great monasteries of the Buddhist Ruzhen Sect, hurriedly stepped forward to pay their respects.

"This disciple pays respects to the Great Bodhisattva Guanyin."

All the monks of Ruzhen Temple, who had kept their hair, knelt on the ground.

Guanyin Bodhisattva holds a rather special position in Buddhism.

Although she is only a Bodhisattva, she has the reputation of being the teacher of the Seven Buddhas. Even in the Heavenly Court, Guanyin Bodhisattva is one of the Five Elders of the Five Directions, alongside the Buddha Tathagata of the West.

Of course, the Five Elders of the Five Directions, as Guanyin Bodhisattva, are actually more like temporary figures appointed for the Journey to the West, which is a time of great prosperity for Buddhism.

After all, the Five Elders of the Five Directions are the foundation of the orthodox Xuanmen sect. If it weren't for the great rise of Buddhism, how could Guanyin Bodhisattva, a Buddhist disciple, have been able to hold a position in the Heavenly Court on par with the World-Honored One, Tathagata?

Seeing Guanyin Bodhisattva descend, Luo Fu naturally dared not be negligent and immediately stepped forward, saying, "Greetings, Guanyin Bodhisattva. May I ask what brings you here?"

Luo Fu showed respect for the renowned Guanyin Bodhisattva, but also a sense of distance.

This is only to be expected.

After all, although Luofu and Guanyin are both members of Buddhism, they belong to different factions. Guanyin can be considered a staunch supporter of the Buddha, while Luofu had long ago chosen to accept the recruitment of the Buddha from the East.

Between the two sides, one is the present Buddha, and the other is the Three Saints of the West. Outwardly, Buddhism may need to show unity, but internally, it is clearly divided into factions.

Guanyin Bodhisattva was naturally aware of Luofu's thoughts.

Upon hearing this, he smiled and said, "Fellow Daoist's Ruzhen Sect is developing rapidly, which is commendable. However, Fellow Daoist should know that the most urgent task for our Buddhist sect right now is to deal with the Journey to the West. Before that, I hope you can restrain the development of your sect to avoid causing internal disputes among us. Otherwise, it will only make us a laughing stock, damage our Buddhist sect's reputation, and weaken our Buddhist sect's strength."

Guanyin Bodhisattva displayed a completely official and businesslike attitude.

Luo Fu quickly realized that his disciples, the monks of the Ruzhen Sect who practiced with their hair still intact, had probably made progress on the path of controlling the seven emotions and desires that was comparable to unorthodox and demonic paths. In order to collect the seven emotions, they might have expanded the Ruzhen Sect to an enormous scale.

Now that even Guanyin Bodhisattva has personally appeared, it's clear that this is no small matter.

After glancing in the direction of the seven spider demons, the eldest sister in red hurriedly explained the current development of the Ruzhen Sect to Luofu.

When they learned from the woman in red that the Ruzhen Sect had expanded to the Zhu Zi Kingdom and had even agreed to a mission to exorcise demons for the Zhu Zi Kingdom, they discovered that the sect had actually expanded to the Zhu Zi Kingdom.

Luo Fu immediately understood why Guanyin Bodhisattva had personally descended.

In fact, there were no monsters involved in the calamity in Zhu Zi Kingdom. The so-called Sai Tai Sui that kidnapped Lady Jin Sheng Palace was nothing more than a result of Guanyin Bodhisattva deliberately letting her mount, the Golden-Haired Roar, cause trouble.

The Golden-Haired Roar was meant to be a challenge to the Journey to the West. If it were to be defeated by the Ruzhen Sect of Luofu, wouldn't that mean one less challenge? Does it mean that Luofu should continue to occupy this spot as well?
After understanding all this, Luo Fu suddenly realized the truth.

However, since Guanyin Bodhisattva has come in person, Luofu must give her face, but it cannot really offer no conditions whatsoever.

You must understand that Luofu is now the place where the Buddha of the East has returned, and the future Buddha of True Wonderful Dharma will be able to yield, but he needs a reason to do so. Otherwise, wouldn't people misunderstand and think that Luofu is afraid of Guanyin Bodhisattva?

Don't assume that the high and mighty gods in the Journey to the West world are truly without any temper.

On the contrary, perhaps because the rules of Heaven are gradually solidifying and we are beginning to move towards the end of the Dharma era, these high and mighty gods and Buddhas seem to be more pragmatic and full of human nature.

Just from the westward journey team, one can sense what kind of humanity those so-called gods truly are.

Pigsy is notorious for his lust and greed. Even in the mortal realm, he used a brutal method to sexually exploit and kill the Egg Demon. Even the seven spider demons who have now entered the Luofu lineage would have almost been raped and killed by Pigsy if it weren't for Luofu.

After all, Zhu Bajie's previous life was as the leader of the Four Saints of the North Pole under the command of the Heavenly Emperor Ziwei.

If even the mighty Marshal Tianpeng behaves like this, then we can see what those so-called gods and Buddhas are really like.

With the existence of heavenly laws and regulations, these so-called gods naturally dare not act like demons who rule the mountains in the human world. At most, they eat people in a more refined way and know how to conceal it.

The so-called purity of mind and few desires are nothing more than a means to spread the religion.

Sun Wukong had cultivated for hundreds of years and was imprisoned under the Five Elements Mountain by the Buddha for hundreds of years. Even so, during his journey to the West, he was still reckless and aggressive, and would often fly into a rage.

It is no exaggeration to say that the era of Journey to the West was a society of human relationships among the gods and Buddhas.

Since Luofu is the future Buddha of the True Dharma, he must express his own stance.

For the sake of the greater good of Buddhism, it is permissible, but Guanyin Bodhisattva needs to offer some benefits. At the very least, Luofu needs to be given an excuse to explain to the Buddha of the East.

Seeing that Luo Fu clearly knew the truth, but did not rush to respond to him.

Guanyin Bodhisattva understood Luofu's thoughts in an instant.

Her grand entrance suggests she might have had some concerns, much like Luo Fu's.

At the very least, the Buddha could not suspect that she had the idea of jumping ship to join the future Buddha's camp. Therefore, her direct communication with Luofu must naturally be open and aboveboard.

Having guessed Luofu's concerns, Guanyin Bodhisattva naturally had already devised a solution before her departure.

With a flick of his whisk, a streak of light appeared out of thin air and suddenly flew to Luofu's front.

When the light stopped, a long sword with dazzling light suddenly appeared in front of Luofu.

Looking at the longsword that had flown to Luofu, Guanyin Bodhisattva's face showed a touch of human nostalgia, and she said, "This sword was the one I wore before I entered Buddhism. Since then, I have never used it again. If the true Buddha were to withdraw his disciples, then this sword would serve as compensation. What do you say?"

The sword that Guanyin Bodhisattva wore before entering Buddhism?
Luo Fu was immediately jolted awake.
