Chapter 547 A Glimpse of the Opportunity to Become a Saint! Slaughtering all living beings in the primordial world! He was almost driven mad by the desire to become a saint!

The Peacock King Bodhisattva can indeed be considered the foremost being below even the saints.

Unfortunately, no matter how powerful his five-colored divine light was, even a saint could be swept into it if he wasn't careful, but he was not a saint after all.

The reason why the Golden-Winged Roc became entangled with Luofu was undoubtedly due to the influence of sages.

Having suffered at the hands of the sages, the Peacock King Bodhisattva only needs to understand this point, and then it's impossible for him to truly be locked in a life-or-death struggle with Luofu.

This certainly doesn't mean that they've completely let go of their hatred for Luofu.

When Luo Fu killed the Golden-Winged Roc, it was, to some extent, a true enmity for obstructing his path, an irreconcilable hatred.

Even the deepest hatred can be let go by cultivators. After all, cultivators have long lifespans, and it's an exaggeration to say they are immortal. But unless a calamity is imminent, there is really no life-or-death feud that cannot be resolved.

Only the enmity of obstructing one's path is truly irreconcilable.

Clearly, Luo Fu forced the Golden-Winged Roc to retreat to the underworld with only a wisp of its soul remaining, which is an irreconcilable enmity that obstructs the path.

The Peacock King Bodhisattva probably knew that the one who truly caused the life-or-death struggle between Luofu and the Golden-Winged Roc was that sage high above the heavens.

Whether it was the dead Golden-Winged Roc or Luo Fu who gained the greatest advantage, they were both merely pawns of the sage.

Only in this way could he now use the Peacock Princess's words to propose the idea of turning hostility into friendship.

But in Luo Fu's view, even if he puts aside his grudges now, or even offers up the body of the Golden-Winged Roc, can he really resolve this cause and effect?
Perhaps it is possible in the eyes of the Peacock King Bodhisattva, but it is certainly impossible in the eyes of the Garuda.

Despite being the first roc bird since the beginning of time, the Golden-Winged Roc is inherently unruly.

Having suffered such a great loss—his magic weapon was taken away and dismantled by Luo Fu, his Yin and Yang energies were refined by Luo Fu, and he almost lost his life at Luo Fu's hands.

In this situation, even if the Golden-Winged Roc verbally agrees to reconcile, deep down, it will likely harbor a deep-seated hatred for Luofu.

If that's the case, why does Luofu still need to resort to the tricks of "suffering a loss is a blessing" and "winning people over with virtue"?
Moreover, those who cultivate the Tao, though they uphold a cautious and prudent mindset, must also possess the courage to advance vigorously.

Whether it's the Golden-Winged Roc or the Peacock, once you've offended them, don't expect to win their goodwill by backing down.

Goodwill and affection are never obtained through concessions. Just like a simp is almost never able to win the favor of a goddess, and even if he does, there must be a reason for it.

With the Six Sages watching over him, reality wouldn't allow Luofu to back down.

Perhaps even saints are watching Luofu's every move right now.

Agreeing to Princess Peacock's proposal and handing over the Golden-Winged Roc's body might not necessarily harm Luofu, but it would certainly not bring him any benefit.

Luo Fu looked at the Peacock Princess noncommittally and said, "Since the princess has also said that the Peacock Great Bright King Bodhisattva had long foreseen the calamity of the Golden-Winged Roc, then his tribulation in my hands is a matter ordained by Heaven. How can he now ask me for his so-called physical body?"

Princess Peacock's expression changed, and she frowned, saying, "As if in true Buddhahood, you mean..."

"If you want to get back the Golden-Winged Roc's body, let the Peacock King Bodhisattva come and talk to me personally!" As soon as Luo Fu finished speaking, he stood up and walked towards the door.

Whether based on the saint's concern or Luo Fu's position within Buddhism, he would not agree to the Peacock Princess's proposal.

It should be understood that no matter how awkward her status may be in the Western Paradise, the Peacock King Bodhisattva is still the Buddha Mother Bodhisattva of the present Buddha, the World Honored One Tathagata.

Luo Fu, on the other hand, is a future Buddha under the command of the future Buddha of the East.

Since entering Buddhism, the Peacock King Bodhisattva has almost disappeared from public view, which is not only due to his own will, but also a form of house arrest imposed on him by the Western Paradise.

After all, with no saints around, if this person below the saints were allowed to act recklessly, who in the Three Realms, besides the Lady Pingxin who cannot leave the Underworld, would be a match for the Peacock?
Since it is certain that the peacock is under control and cannot act personally.

So how could Luo Fu possibly give up the benefits he had already gained simply by relying on the Peacock Princess's message?

From the very beginning, Luo Fu's stance was very firm. He knew very well that it was impossible for him to reconcile with the Peacock King Bodhisattva.

Regardless of cause and effect or stance, since they are destined to be enemies rather than friends, how could he be so foolish as to sacrifice his own interests?

Even if the benefit is small, he will not back down.

Moreover, the Golden-Winged Roc is the first Roc bird since the creation of heaven and earth. Its physical body, bloodline, and bone structure are all top-notch, making it a rare treasure in itself.

Even simply refining the flesh of the Golden-Winged Roc into a magic weapon would be enough to make it a top-tier acquired spiritual treasure.

We can't let Luo Fu give up the benefits he's gained for nothing, only to receive a perfunctory thank you from the Peacock King Bodhisattva in return, especially when he knows that even if he returns his physical body, it will only end up being a dangerous threat.

Seeing Luo Fu walk out of the side hall with a firm attitude.

Princess Peacock tried several times to persuade her to stay, but ultimately couldn't bring herself to say it.

Princess Peacock watched Luo Fu disappear from sight before letting out a helpless sigh.

With a somber expression, he bid farewell to the seven spiders, Garan, the sixth prince, and other old acquaintances before hastily leaving Ruzhen Temple.

Luo Fu thought that after being rejected, the matter of the Golden-Winged Roc's physical body was over, and at least for the time being, there would be no more twists and turns.

But to Luo Fu's surprise, as night fell, a pure yin energy appeared outside the hall where Luo Fu was in seclusion.

This time, however, the people who came were not from the underworld, or more accurately, they were the underworld's neighbors, the Asura clan.

A great Asura with three heads and six arms, a dark blue face, and six hands, holding a leaping crimson flame.

After arriving outside the main hall of Luofu's seclusion, the great Asura bowed respectfully towards the hall and said, "The Asura clan of the Netherworld Blood Sea requests an audience with the True Dharma Buddha. We have come uninvited and hope the True Dharma Buddha will forgive us."

Although the Asura clan is known for its bravery and skill in battle, it is not ignorant of the rules.

At the very least, they behaved very properly in front of Luo Fu at this moment.

The door to the main hall opened, and Luo Fu, holding a whisk, walked out with a hint of doubt in his eyes.

In his mind, as expected, it should be other saints who bestowed upon Luofu the benefits of establishing karmic connections.

But the appearance of this great Asura surprised Luo Fu. The Asura race is extremely special.

It not only belongs to the Asura realm among the three good realms in the six realms of reincarnation in the underworld, but is also one of the eight heavenly dragons of Buddhism. Not to mention, the Asura clan also has its own leader and creator, the Lord of the Netherworld Blood Sea, the Styx Ancestor.

It can be said that the Asuras, this warlike and special race, were born with the triple imprint of Buddhism, the underworld, and the Netherworld Blood Sea.

However, in any case, Luo Fu had no prior connection with the Asura clan.

Even though he went to the underworld last time because of Lady Pingxin, it had nothing to do with the Netherworld Blood Sea on the side of the underworld, and it was even less likely to have any karmic connection with Asura.

Now, a great Asura has inexplicably appeared and taken the initiative to visit, which has truly surprised Luo Fu.

However, when one sees the crimson flame that Ashura holds in his six arms, constantly leaping, one is struck by its power.

Luo Fu immediately recognized it as the famous Red Lotus Karmic Fire.

In the Three Realms, only three sects can obtain the Crimson Lotus Karmic Fire: Buddhism, the Underworld, and the Netherworld Blood Sea.

However, the true master of the Crimson Lotus Karmic Fire is only one person, namely the Styx Ancestor, who has long since withdrawn from worldly affairs and has been hiding in the Netherworld Blood Sea, and has not appeared for an unknown period of time.

After all, the Styx Ancestor possessed a twelfth-grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus.

This is an innate spiritual treasure far more powerful than the Nine-Rank Golden Lotus of Merit under the Buddha's seat in the Western Paradise.

It's no exaggeration to say that among the four innate lotus platforms, only the Karmic Fire Red Lotus of the Styx Ancestor remains.

The Twelve-Petaled Golden Lotus of Merit had three petals absorbed by the Mosquito Taoist after the Investiture of the Gods. The Twelve-Petaled Azure Lotus of Creation was envied by the Heavenly Dao and split into three before the Great Tribulation of the Investiture of the Gods, becoming the Flat Staff, Jade Ruyi, and Azure Lotus Sword in the hands of the Three Pure Ones.

As for the Twelve-Petaled World-Destroying Black Lotus, it disappeared even earlier. During the conflict between Dao and Demon, it vanished without a trace after Demon Ancestor Rahu was defeated by Dao Ancestor Hongjun.

It can be said that the Twelve-Petaled Karmic Fire Red Lotus is almost the only twelve-petaled lotus platform remaining in the Three Realms.

With the Abyssal Slaughter Sword, two innate killing swords that kill without incurring karma, and the Twelfth Grade Karmic Fire Lotus that is impervious to all laws, the Styx Ancestor was practically invincible in this era where no saint appeared.

Even the Buddha, the supreme leader of Buddhism, is a junior in front of the Styx Ancestor.

Unfortunately, the Styx Ancestor went almost mad in his pursuit of sainthood. He imitated the Six Saints exactly as they did. When Nuwa created the human race, he tried to create the Asura race in the Netherworld Blood Sea.

When the Three Pure Ones established their religion, he followed suit and established the Innate Killing Sect.

The two Western Saints made a grand vow, and the Styx Ancestor, in a moment of impulsiveness, immediately followed suit.

Tragically, the Styx Ancestor never imagined that the Innate Killing Sect he established, coupled with his grand ambition, would suddenly make him an enemy of the entire world.

Neither the Three Pure Ones, nor the Two Sages of the West and the Sage Nuwa could stand idly by and watch the Styx Ancestor slaughter all living beings in the primordial world to fulfill his grand ambition.

It could be said that after being trapped and taught a lesson by the Sage in the Netherworld Blood Sea, the Styx Ancestor, who was once a famous guest of the Purple Cloud Palace, fell into complete silence and almost never left the Netherworld Blood Sea again.

It's not that I don't want to go out, but that the sage forbids it.

In the Netherworld Blood Sea, one can live a life that lasts endlessly.

Just then, a great Asura arrived, bringing with him the karmic fire of the red lotus.

The only person Luo Fu could think of was the Styx Ancestor.

The true master of the Red Lotus Karmic Fire is the Styx Ancestor. Both Buddhism and the Underworld have already formed karmic ties with Luofu, so there is no need to go through such a procedure.

Only the Styx Ancestor would do such a thing.

The Styx Ancestor, who had not appeared since the Investiture of the Gods, suddenly set his sights on him, just like the other saints.

The only explanation is that he saw in himself an opportunity to bypass the limitations of saints, fulfill his grand ambition, and glimpse the chance to become a saint.

Aside from his obsession with becoming a saint, Luo Fu couldn't think of anything else that could make a powerful figure like the Styx Ancestor actively send the Great Asura of the Netherworld Blood Sea to visit him with the Red Lotus Karmic Fire.

"It's alright, guests are always welcome." With a quick thought in his mind, Luo Fu opened the door to greet him and said, "Besides, your visit this time not only has no ill intentions, but you've also brought me a great gift."

He paused for a moment, seemingly surprised that Luo Fu knew his purpose.

But soon, the Great Asura, having regained his senses, immediately presented the leaping crimson flame in his hand to Luo Fu, saying, "The leader of the Asura Killing Cult from the Netherworld Blood Sea presents a Red Lotus Karmic Flame to congratulate the True and Wonderful Dharma Buddha."

That reason?
Luo Fu's lips twitched. Clearly, compared to the goddess Pingxin, the patriarch Subhuti, the primordial celestial being, and the sage Taiqing, the work of the Styx Ancestor was far too rough.

There wasn't even a proper reason; it was so simple and crude that it was as if he was openly reminding Luo Fu that he had ulterior motives.

However, as far as Luo Fu is concerned, no matter what Styx Ancestor is planning, he is determined to take the benefits from the sugar-coated bullets that Styx Ancestor has offered. But whether he can get Styx Ancestor to his desired outcome in the future depends on his own abilities.

For Luo Fu, although the Styx Ancestor is not a saint, in the current Three Realms, in this era where saints do not appear, the Styx Ancestor, who has been a guest of Zixiao Palace several times, has a deterrent power that is no different from that of a saint.

Such a powerful being, no matter what they want to scheme against him, he has no power to refuse and can only obediently accept the other party's benefits.

As for how to repay this karmic debt in the future, he is a disciple of the Daoist Zhunti. Although the one who imparted knowledge and skills was only an incarnation of the Daoist Zhunti, the Patriarch Subhuti, Luofu had never actually met this mentor.

However, Luofu can still learn from how Daoist Zhunti and Daoist Jieyin treated those who owed great karmic debts.

No matter how strict the laws are in the Three Realms, once you set aside these so-called appearances, in the end, it is a world where strength reigns supreme.

Coincidentally, by relying on the shared space, one can obtain all the systems of the Heavenly Luofu.

Even if he cannot become a saint in the short term, there will definitely be a saint who will personally intervene to protect him as an anomaly.

If the "one" that symbolizes the glimmer of hope for all living beings is merely a possibility, then Luofu's existence is like a special entity that exists independently of the world, yet is able to continuously perfect the Dao of Heaven.

Just like the vast universe of Luofu.

Back then, he was just a novice. Before boarding the Nine Dragons Coffin, he had at most mastered some magic-like techniques. However, as the shared power became more localized, Luo Fu suddenly achieved a special feat: one life equals nine lives, and one life can become a mortal immortal.
