Chapter 584 The Legacy of the Jie Sect! Reversing the Heavenly Dao, the Four Swords of Zhuxian! I, Luofu, have become a direct disciple of the Jie Sect?
The three great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism are all high-ranking and powerful, and possess great supernatural powers and cultivation.
His mount is famous throughout the Three Realms.
Luo Fu really did acquire three great mounts. Putting everything else aside, the karma between him and the three Bodhisattvas alone was enough to give him a headache.
Just as Luo Fu was hesitating because Qiu Shou Xian had come to visit.
Having ascended to the Heavenly Court once more, Sun Wukong, before even venturing deep into the Heavenly Court to find Chi You, whose secret title was War Might Five Extremes Military Master Heavenly Venerable, was already on his way.
They were stopped by Laozi (the Supreme Lord Lao) before they could get there.
"Old man, I, Sun Wukong, am in a hurry to seek help from the Heavenly Venerable. Don't stop me, please make way!" Sun Wukong said urgently.
Laozi smiled slightly and said, "You mischievous monkey, you're only looking for Chi You to save your master. But I must tell you this time that Chi You may not be able to solve your current predicament."
Startled, Sun Wukong, who had been impatient just moments before, quickly put on a flattering smile.
Why does Laozi say this?
"You impudent monkey, you are indeed blinded by greed and forget righteousness." After making a mocking remark, Laozi said, "If you wish to resolve your current calamity, the only opportunity lies with the Buddha Ruzhen. Right now, Chiyou Tianzun has no time to attend to your affairs. If you rashly disturb him, you might ruin Chiyou Tianzun's great plans."
He was too ashamed to go to Luofu, so he shamelessly went to heaven again and asked Chiyou Tianzun for help three times.
But Laozi's words made Sun Wukong feel a chill instantly.
"Please enlighten me, Laozi."
"Don't ask any more questions." Laozi flicked his whisk and said, "Go down to the mortal realm quickly, don't linger in the Heavenly Court."
"Wait! Tell me, Old Sun, what exactly is going on? Why is that Bodhisattva..."
Before he could finish speaking, Sun Wukong suddenly felt a magical force instantly seal his mouth.
"You impudent monkey, remember this: loose lips sink ships. This matter is of utmost importance. Do not ask any more questions. Quickly go and seek an audience with the True Buddha to resolve your master's calamity. Head to the Western Paradise and do not linger at Lion Camel Ridge with Pan Heng!"
He tried to pry open his mouth, but when he finally opened it again, Laozi had vanished without a trace.
With a quick glance, Sun Wukong was filled with doubt.
I'm struggling with what I should do.
Should they continue deeper into the Heavenly Court to seek out the Heavenly Venerable Chi You, or should they shamelessly leave the Heavenly Court and seek out the true Buddha Ru Zhen?
After much internal struggle, Sun Wukong finally decided to listen to advice and eat his fill.
Putting aside other things, both Guanyin Bodhisattva and Laozi had reminded him that it would be best to seek help from the Buddha Ruzhen.
It was only because he couldn't bring himself to bother Chi You Tianzun three times that he chose to do so.
It was something that Guanyin Bodhisattva and Laozi had repeatedly reminded them of.
Sun Wukong wasn't stupid; of course he realized that the best choice was to become the true Buddha.
His top priority now is to save his master, Tang Sanzang; it's not the time to worry about saving face.
When it really comes down to it, Sun Wukong is definitely a monkey who can take things in stride; face doesn't matter to him at all.
Five hundred years of imprisonment and reflection may not have completely purified Sun Wukong's mind and brought him to a state of enlightenment, but it did make him understand the meaning of "there are always people more capable than you, and there is always something beyond your understanding."
When Sun Wukong steeled himself and headed towards the Western Heavenly Gate, preparing to pass through it and descend to the mortal realm to reach Ruzhen Temple.
As soon as he arrived at the Western Heavenly Gate, he saw four immortals standing side by side.
Although Sun Wukong had never seen these four immortals, he knew how formidable they were.
These four immortals were clearly waiting for him at the Western Heavenly Gate.
"Disciple Sun Wukong greets the four immortals. May I ask why you have blocked my path?"
"We are here to lend you a hand." The leading immortal, dressed in purple, said, taking out a long sword. "You can take this sword and ask to see the True Buddha. Offer this sword, and your master's predicament will be resolved."
The other three immortals also presented Sun Wukong with an ancient longsword.
Upon seeing these four long swords, Sun Wukong's hair practically stood on end.
Indeed, although these four swords were sheathed, the terrifying and pure killing intent emanating from them sent chills down Sun Wukong's spine.
Not daring to accept the four swords, Sun Wukong cautiously bowed and said, "This disciple dares to ask the honorific titles of the four immortals."
The four immortals exchanged a smile and said, "We are Guangchengzi, Chijingzi, Yuding, and Daoxing Tianzun, disciples of the Jade Void Primordial Heavenly Venerable."
As the four immortals finished speaking.
The four longswords suddenly burst forth with dazzling sword light.
Sun Wukong was so frightened that he quickly dodged.
However, the terrifying sword light seemed to be all show and no substance, and did not cause any harm.
Moreover, when the sword light faded, the four immortals also disappeared without a trace, leaving only four long swords floating in mid-air.
At this moment, Sun Wukong, unusually, did not covet the four swords at all. It should be noted that Sun Wukong was not a moral gentleman; on the contrary, this monkey was quite greedy and had a history of such behavior.
He even dared to covet things belonging to Laozi (the Supreme Lord Lao).
However, Sun Wukong avoided these four long swords at all costs.
Indeed, these four longswords, though clearly sheathed, put immense pressure on Sun Wukong.
The murderous aura was so intense that even the sword sheath couldn't contain it.
In Sun Wukong's eyes, this terrifying thing was not a treasure at all, but a scourge.
If possible, Sun Wukong would never want to get involved in such terrible trouble.
But now, trouble has come knocking on his door, not even giving him a chance to refuse.
Shaking his head, just as Sun Wukong was struggling with his question, the names of those four immortals suddenly came to mind.
Guang Chengzi? Wasn't that the teacher of the Yellow Emperor?
Master Yu Ding was also the master of the original Master Qingyuan Miaodao.
Although Sun Wukong was ignorant about Chi Jingzi and Dao Xing Tianzun, the fact that the four of them could be ranked together clearly indicated that these two were also extraordinary beings with remarkable backgrounds.
Such immense power, such a terrifyingly murderous sword—even the dim-witted Sun Wukong knew he was in deep trouble!
At this moment, Sun Wukong suddenly felt a little resentful.
If I hadn't been so concerned about saving face when I first visited Guanyin Bodhisattva, and had gone directly to Ruzhen Temple to seek an audience with the Mahayana Buddha, I probably wouldn't have had this trouble.
Even just now, if I hadn't listened to Laozi, I might not have gotten involved in such an unsettling matter.
Now, everything has left Sun Wukong with no chance to back out.
Sun Wukong dared not be negligent in the face of these four longswords that exuded a chilling murderous aura. He bowed respectfully and said, "Disciple Sun Wukong, please forgive my presumptuous actions."
After bowing, he cautiously extended his furry paws.
This time, the four swords seemed to possess their own wisdom, concealing their sword light and being taken down by him.
Carrying all four swords on his back, Sun Wukong passed through the Western Heavenly Gate and descended to the mortal realm.
Luo Fu had no idea that he hadn't yet figured out how to deal with Qiu Shou Xian, who had come knocking on his door.
Soon, another enormous karmic consequence will be delivered to Luo Fu's doorstep, one that he will have no choice but to accept.
The Four Swords of Zhuxian are such powerful magical weapons that they can be said to be awe-inspiring throughout the Three Realms, and could even be considered the most lethal magical weapons in the Three Realms today.
Leaving aside the four swords of Zhuxian, any one of them, taken individually, is no less powerful than the Styx Ancestor's Abi and Yuantu. When the four swords are combined, they can form the Zhuxian Sword Formation, which strikes fear into the hearts of all.
Of the three great killing formations of the primordial era, only the Four Swords of Zhuxian can still be set up now.
For example, the Zhou Tian Star Array, without the suppression of the Chaos Bell, even if all 365 Great Zhou Tian Star Banners and 14,800 Small Zhou Tian Star Banners were gathered, it would be impossible to find enough cultivators in the Three Realms to manipulate them.
Even if it existed, the disappearance of the Chaos Bell made the Zhou Tian Star Array a legend in the Three Realms.
The Twelve Heavenly Gods and Demons Formation, which could summon the true form of Pangu, will never be recreated after the fall of the Twelve Ancestral Witches.
After Houtu sacrificed herself to reincarnate, even the remaining eleven Ancestral Witches could not perfectly reproduce the Twelve Capital Heavenly Gods and Demons Formation, let alone now, after so long.
Even if it were Chi You, who could collect the spiritual fragments of the twelve Ancestral Witches, at most he could only complete a weakened version of Pangu's true form. At most, he could only contend with a Quasi-Saint peak existence. Facing a Saint, he would not be easily defeated, but he would definitely not reach the level of the Witch Clan during the Witch-Demon War, where even Saints would retreat in fear.
It must be admitted that the Lich War was indeed the most destructive cataclysmic event since the beginning of time.
Both the Zhou Tian Xing Dou Grand Array of the Demon Clan and the Twelve Capital Heavenly Gods and Demons Grand Array of the Witch Clan are capable of unleashing the explosive power of a Saint.
However, the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation was in no way inferior to these two completely vanished killing formations.
The primordial formations can be broadly divided into three types. One type is the Zhou Tian Xing Dou Grand Formation, which is directly spread out in the primordial world to manipulate the power of heaven and earth. Another type is the Twelve Capital Heavenly Gods and Demons Grand Formation, which uses formations to amplify power. The last type is the Zhuxian Sword Formation, which, once set up, forms its own space.
The so-called three great killing formations of the primordial world are not only because of their astonishing destructive power, but more importantly, because these three formations are almost insurmountable in their representativeness.
Just like the Demon Emperor Jun, the Hunyuan Heluo Grand Array he comprehended from his innate spiritual treasure, the Hetu Luoshu, was actually no less powerful than the three great killing arrays in terms of its upper limit. However, its category overlapped with the three great killing arrays. In addition, the Hunyuan Heluo Grand Array was set up in the Heavenly Realm as the strongest array protecting the Heavenly Realm, and rarely had the opportunity to be displayed. Therefore, its reputation was naturally inferior to that of the three great killing arrays.
Logically speaking, after the Investiture of the Gods and the end of the sage's rule, the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation should have become a thing of the past.
Even the four swords that formed the formation fell into the hands of the second-generation disciples of the Chan Sect. The Zhuxian Sword fell into the hands of Guang Chengzi, the Xianxian Sword was taken by Yu Ding Zhenren, the Luxian Sword was kept by Chi Jingzi, and the Juexian Sword was in the hands of Dao Xing Tianzun.
The four swords of Zhuxian have been separated, and even the array diagram has been converted into Theravada Buddhism by Duobao Daoren, and now belongs to the Buddha.
Although there were no Four Swords of Immortal Slaughter, the World Honored One Tathagata took a different approach, using the Dharma bodies of the Five Great Vidyarajas and the Immortal Slaughter Sword Formation Diagram to evolve a supreme killing technique.
It is precisely because of this method that his Buddhist kingdom is unparalleled in the West.
But now, when Sun Wukong brings the Four Swords of Zhuxian to Luofu, Luofu will likely become the focus of attention for the entire Three Realms in an instant.
The Four Swords of Zhuxian, to some extent, can even symbolize the legacy of the Jie Sect.
Its status and significance are in no way inferior to the Taiji Diagram and the Xuanhuang Pagoda in the Renjiao sect, or the Pangu Banner in the Chanjiao sect. Regardless of its wonderful uses, its significance is ultimately different.
Especially the Jie Sect, although its lineage vanished after the Investiture of the Gods, its disciples actually filled the Three Realms. The Heavenly Court could even be considered to have been cobbled together by Jie Sect disciples.
The reunion of the Four Swords of Zhuxian, and their subsequent acquisition by Luofu, carries profound significance.
In Ruzhen Temple.
He restored his title from the Jie Sect era, Qiu Shou Xian, and the Green-haired Lion Demon saw Luo Fu repeatedly decline.
He made a snap decision and, in front of Luo Fu, swore a solemn oath to Heaven.
"Heaven above, your disciple Qiu Shou Xian wishes to take refuge under the tutelage of the true Buddha, to comprehend the wondrous Dharma of the Pratyekabuddha. If I break this vow, Heaven will not tolerate it. I hope Heaven will bear witness."
As Qiu Shouxian made his vow, the Heavenly Dao instantly sensed it.
Luo Fu naturally sensed just how binding force Qiu Shou Xian's Heavenly Oath truly was.
It's no exaggeration to say that even when the Green-haired Lion Demon was a mount in Buddhism, it couldn't compare to the great oath he made to Heaven.
Don't be fooled by the fact that Qiu Shou Xian's oath seems vague and not as comprehensive and well-organized as contract terms. But a great oath from Heaven has no loopholes that can be circumvented.
This is a vow made from one's true heart, based on one's true heart.
It is precisely because of its vagueness that it can better reveal the determination in Qiu Shou Xian's heart at this moment.
Even the Heavenly Oath was made directly, but Luo Fu, who was half a party involved, could only sigh and say, "Why must you go to such lengths, fellow Daoist?"
"I dare not accept the title of Buddha's fellow Daoist. This disciple sincerely takes refuge in the Buddha and is unwavering in his faith. I hope the Buddha will bestow upon me a Dharma name." Qiu Shou Xian put his hands together, bowed, and looked very serious.
Although Luo Fu resisted these inexplicable and passively entangled causes and effects, it did not mean that he was afraid.
However, compared to these continuous causes and effects, he now has an even more urgent desire to comprehend the Dao of Creation and the method of attaining enlightenment in dreams.
The former is the first of the thirty-six Heavenly Divine Arts, which governs creation. The latter is even more related to the great Dao of turning falsehood into reality and reversing dreams.
For these two things, Luo Fu was even able to temporarily put aside the crafting of the Cloud-Soaring Wings and the Capturing Claws, demonstrating the importance Luo Fu placed on the Dao of Creation and the path to enlightenment in dreams.
Unfortunately, this is precisely the time when Buddhism is flourishing, and the calamity of the Journey to the West is a major event for the Three Realms.
Since Luofu is the ancestor of the Middle Vehicle of Buddhism, it is impossible to avoid it.
Even though he was in the midst of a calamity, the calamity of the Journey to the West was not enough to affect Luofu's mind and character.
However, driven by the prevailing trend of Heaven, he will inevitably become deeply involved.
This is absolutely unavoidable. In fact, because the calamity of the Journey to the West itself, in terms of intensity, is far less than the great calamities of the past, as it occurs during the process of the growth and decline of heaven and earth and is heading towards the end of the Dharma.
However, the appearance of Luofu, to a certain extent, reversed the general trend of the Heavenly Dao, like giving the world a shot in the arm, causing the general trend of the Heavenly Dao to reverse.
