Chapter 595 The Methods of Six Saints! Becoming the Dominators of the Great Tribulation!

Chapter 595 The Methods of the Six Saints! Becoming the Dominators of the Great Tribulation!
These old monsters, who appeared from the Lich King's Calamity and even before, probably only know how many evil methods they possess, except for the Six Sages and the Dao Ancestor Hongjun, who merged with the Dao.

These old monsters, who returned to the human world because the Sixth Prince broke the seal of Hell, have conspired to create this force that bears the name of the demon race but is rather unworthy of the name. Their lineage is truly chaotic, like a tangled mess, impossible to unravel.

The reason why the King of Bazhou has achieved such success is not only due to his destiny, but more importantly, because he took other shortcuts.

Every bite and sip has its predetermined course.

Having quickly attained my current cultivation level through shortcuts will certainly have drawbacks, but they haven't yet become apparent.

It seemed that conflict between the two sides was imminent.

Having already decided to flee, Pigsy and his companions had no intention of getting involved.

However, before Pigsy and his companions could take any action...

A brilliant, auspicious light swept in from the east.

A large number of celestial soldiers and generals, riding auspicious clouds, took the lead, followed closely by the human allied forces.

The general in command rode a blue-and-white steed, wearing armor and an outer robe. Above his head was a seven-jeweled pagoda with golden relics from the Thirty-Three Heavens, from which auspicious light and radiance hung down like ribbons, enveloping the area on both sides.

"This is... the reincarnation of Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King?" Pigsy blinked, but in an instant, he recognized the identity of this general in charge of troops.

Indeed, the Thirty-Three Heavens Golden Relic Seven-Jeweled Exquisite Pagoda is truly iconic.

This is the most precious treasure that the Heavenly King Li Jing, who holds the Pagoda, always has with him. It has wonderful uses such as subduing demons, suppressing evil spirits, and setting fires.

The Seven-Jeweled Pagoda containing the Golden Relics of the Thirty-Three Heavens is almost inextricably linked to Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King; the two are rarely separated.

At this moment, this general in charge of troops was able to receive the protection of the Seven Treasures Pagoda of the Golden Relic of the Thirty-Three Heavens, which clearly indicates that he had a close relationship with Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King.

More importantly, when Zhu Bajie was one of the Four Saints of the North Pole and Marshal Tianpeng, he had a lot of dealings with Li Jing.

He recognized at a glance that this general in charge of the army looked almost exactly like Li Jing.

Pigsy was unaware that this general in command of troops was indeed closely related to Li Jing, and could even be seen as a reincarnation of a wisp of Li Jing's soul undergoing tribulation, but was not Li Jing's reincarnation.

His identity was even more extraordinary; he was the Duke of Wei, a subordinate of Emperor Taizong of the Great Tang Dynasty in the East.

However, this sudden calamity between humans and demons forced the Heavenly Court to side with the Tang Dynasty in the East.

As for Li Jing, this reincarnation of a wisp of the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King's divine soul undergoing tribulation, he could only merge with the real Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King.

At this moment, this general in command of troops is both the Heavenly King who holds the Pagoda in the Heavenly Court and the Duke of Wei of the Tang Dynasty in the Eastern Land of Man.

They watched as the heavenly soldiers and generals, along with the human alliance, swept towards the battlefield.

The King of Bazhou and his group naturally had little interest in paying attention to the Arhat with the Curly Head and his companions.

Faced with the massive army, the King of Bazhou immediately mobilized his troops and began to set up battle formations.

Having already clashed countless times, before any direct confrontation even took place, Li Jing's side began setting up a battle formation.

The sky suddenly darkened to the naked eye.

Just moments ago it was daytime, but in the blink of an eye, the sky was filled with stars.

The stars cast their brilliant light upon the celestial soldiers and the human army.

Although they had never seen it before, this strange phenomenon instantly reminded Qiu Shou Luohan and the others of the famous Zhou Tian Xing Dou Formation, one of the three great killing formations of the primordial world, which once made the demon race's Heavenly Court dominant.

This is certainly not the real Zhou Tian Xing Dou Grand Array.

Putting everything else aside, the true Zhou Tian Xing Dou Grand Formation requires far more cultivators than the current combined human allied forces and heavenly soldiers and generals could possibly handle, not to mention that the Zhou Tian Xing Dou Grand Formation needs the Chaos Bell as its core.

Even if it's not the original Zhou Tian Xing Dou Grand Formation, the current formation still carries some of the power it once possessed.

As starlight descended, as if blessed by heaven and earth, the human race's momentum surged instantly.

On the other hand, the demon race's actions were somewhat perplexing even to the Arhat with the bushy head.

Because the formation used by the demon race at this moment is clearly not a variant of the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation that they taught to the demons of Lion Camel Ridge back then.

Instead, it is a more mysterious and malevolent formation.

The clash between the two formations forced the Arhat with the bushy head and his companions to hastily retreat to a distance.

Despite their attainment of enlightenment, this mysterious and profound killing formation, coupled with the calamity energy of the human-demon calamity, would severely suppress even enlightened immortals if they were caught in it.

They withdrew from the core of the battlefield.

It was clear that a rift had developed between the Arhat with the Curly Head and his fellow disciples, including Pigsy.

Clearly, the previous exchange between the Arhat with the Curly Head and the King of Bazhou had made Pigsy and the others begin to suspect them.

The Arhat with the bushy head and the others didn't care about this. They were merely following Luo Fu's orders to help Sun Wukong rescue Tang Sanzang and his disciples.

Now that your merits are complete, it is time to return to the Real and Wonderful Dharma Heaven.

As for participating in the transvestite calamity.

Even if one were to participate in this massacre, it shouldn't be now.

Having suffered greatly during the Investiture of the Gods calamity, and without being blinded by the calamity's influence, they naturally knew when and how to intervene in the calamity in order to both survive unscathed and reap the greatest benefits.

The Arhat with the bushy head and the others paid no attention to the attitude of Pigsy and the others.

He simply entrusted the matter to the other party, bid farewell to Sun Wukong, and headed straight for the west.

After seeing off the Arhat with the bushy head and the others, Pigsy and the others breathed a sigh of relief.

After hearing the conversation between the Arhat with the wavy head and the King of Bazhou, they were truly filled with apprehension.

Heaven knows what the relationship is between these so-called Arhats and those monsters.
On their journey westward, they encountered countless demons and monsters, some of whom were backed by gods.

Many monsters are actually kept by the gods in their own homes, and some monsters are even gods who have descended to earth in disguise.

After having experienced this countless times, Pigsy and his companions naturally became somewhat paranoid.

After saying goodbye to the Arhat with the curly head and others, Pigsy and his companions, who had just breathed a sigh of relief, suddenly realized something: where should they go to find Sun Wukong?

It should be noted that Sun Wukong had previously been in a hurry to escort Tang Sanzang away, so he directly rode his somersault cloud eastward.

But Zhu Bajie and the others weren't waiting in the same spot either.

Because Li Jing led the heavenly soldiers and generals and the human alliance, the two sides set up battle formations and engaged in a fierce battle.

This forced Pigsy and the others to stay far away from the battlefield.

The two sides have completely lost contact.

Pigsy's eyes darted around, and he said, "Does this old pig know where Master and Senior Brother are going?" Sandy and the White Dragon, who were just having a headache about how to reunite with Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong, all looked at Pigsy.

“This place isn’t far from the Women’s Kingdom!” Pigsy said confidently, “Knowing Monkey King as I do, he must have sent Master to the Women’s Kingdom by now.”

With a chuckle, Pigsy said with a hint of mockery, "Back then, Master almost stayed in the Women's Kingdom. Now that we've returned from our pilgrimage, shouldn't Master go and visit the Queen?"

"Second Brother, don't talk nonsense." Sha Wujing frowned and said, "There is absolutely no relationship between Master and the Queen of the Women's Kingdom. Master is devoted to Buddhism, how could he be attached to worldly love?"

"What exactly happened between Master and that Queen, who knows!" Pigsy clearly believed that Tang Sanzang must have a problem with the Queen of the Women's Kingdom.

With a flick of his sleeve, Pigsy said, "Alright, alright, Brother Sandy, stop nagging. Just tell me, are Master and Monkey King in the Women's Kingdom?"

Sha Wujing was speechless.

After all, in their view, there was a real possibility that Tang Sanzang was in the Women's Kingdom.

On the one hand, the Kingdom of Women was the rear closest to the front line of the great calamity between humans and demons. On the other hand, it was also during Tang Sanzang's time in the Kingdom of Women that people wondered if he had fallen for any of the queens.

The three brothers set off towards the Kingdom of Women.

When the pilgrimage team reunited.

The true and wondrous Dharma is in the heavens.

The Arhat with the curled head, the Arhat with the yellow teeth, and the Arhat with the golden light also successfully returned to the Pure Land of True Dharma in the Daoist cave.

The three Arhats returned after accomplishing their mission, which was not merely to help Sun Wukong rescue Tang Sanzang and his disciples.

They had made initial contact with both sides of the great calamity.

After returning to the main hall of Ruzhen Temple, he immediately reported his experiences and judgments to Luofu.

After listening to the three Arhats' accounts, Luofu also did not take the matter of the pilgrimage team to heart.

After all, for him, the journey to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures was already a thing of the past.

The Mahayana Tripitaka has been retrieved; this calamity is merely the final tribulation in the eighty-one tribulations.

Who could have prevented the old turtle of the Tongtian River from questioning Tang Sanzang and the others due to the sudden outbreak of the great calamity between humans and demons?
However, this might not necessarily be a bad thing for the old turtle.

When the pilgrimage team first passed the Tongtian River, they did indeed promise the old turtle that they could ask the Buddha when he would be able to transform into a human form.

However, because the pilgrimage team forgot about this matter, they felt guilty for failing the old turtle's entrustment.

In a fit of rage, the old turtle threw the entire pilgrimage team into the Tongtian River, causing all the Mahayana Buddhist scriptures to get wet. When the scriptures were being dried, some parts of the text were damaged.

It can only be said that this old turtle really doesn't know how to seize the opportunity. You should know that Tang Sanzang and his disciples all attained enlightenment. One became the Sandalwood Merit Buddha, one became the Victorious Fighting Buddha, one became the Clean Altar Messenger, and one became the Golden Arhat. Even his mount, the White Dragon Horse, attained the status of the Bodhisattva of the Eight Heavenly Dragons.

The pilgrimage team forgot the old turtle's instructions, which was clearly an opportunity for the old turtle. Because of this guilt, the pilgrimage team would surely find a way to make amends to the old turtle later. However, the old turtle, like a will-o'-the-wisp, simply threw the pilgrimage team into the river.

Doing this certainly satisfied his own temperament, but it also made him part of the pilgrimage team, and he would never feel guilty towards him again.

It can be said that a great opportunity vanished in an instant.

They might even incur the wrath of the pilgrimage team, and forget about ever being reborn as a human and attaining enlightenment, let alone in their next life.

Now, the appearance of the great calamity between humans and demons has ironically allowed the old turtle to escape a disaster.

Perhaps one day, by taking advantage of his guilt towards the pilgrimage team, he could actually establish a relationship with them. With the help of the pilgrimage team's benefactor, achieving enlightenment would certainly not be a problem.

Good fortune and misfortune are intertwined, and indeed it was so.

However, without the old turtle's antics, the pilgrimage team was directly drawn into a war between humans and demons.

What Luo Fu cares about is naturally the great calamity between humans and demons that has been triggered by his appearance.

As for the pilgrimage team, it's irrelevant.

The Journey to the West, destined by Heaven to bring great prosperity to Buddhism, will inevitably be divided into priorities in the face of the great calamity between humans and demons.

Whether Buddhism can flourish again depends entirely on the upcoming catastrophe involving humans and demons.

After listening to the three Arhats' views on the war between humans and demons, and on the local battlefield, Luo Fu understood that his True Wonderful Dharma Heaven would probably not be able to stay out of it.

This great calamity itself originated from Luofu.

The significance of Luofu's existence in this great calamity is just like that of Haotian, who sought help from Zixiao Palace during the Investiture of the Gods.

It seems that Haotian's presence was not prominent in the Investiture of the Gods, but this calamity of gods and immortals that swept across the three realms was shrouded in the shadow of Haotian and the Heavenly Court from beginning to end.

The same is true of Luofu today.

The will of Heaven dictates that Buddhism will flourish, but due to the great calamity between humans and demons, it is uncertain which lineage will ultimately prosper.

Without the rise of the Luofu and Pratyekabuddha schools, the eastward transmission of Mahayana Buddhism to the Tang Dynasty in Jambudvipa would have been ordained by Heaven. Now that the Luofu and Pratyekabuddha schools have risen, even the great calamity between humans and demons, which rivals the Battle of the Deer, has been stirred up. If Mahayana Buddhism is allowed to become the mainstream of Buddhism's great prosperity, wouldn't it be a waste to have stirred up this great calamity between humans and demons?

The World-Honored One, Tathagata, might be pleased to see Luofu and the Real Dharma Heaven remain secluded from the world.

However, the Heavenly Dao, and even the Six Sages who have retreated to the heavens, will certainly use various means, both soft and hard, to make Luofu the leader of this great calamity between humans and demons.

This is just like the battle for supremacy back then.

In the Battle of Zhuolu, the human race did indeed completely crush the internal power of the witch race, consolidating the foundation for the human race to become the protagonist of heaven and earth. However, the one who also gained a great deal was Guangchengzi, who served as the teacher of the Yellow Emperor.

If they were to be drawn into this great calamity, in the comparison of the Battle of the Deer, Luo Fu would definitely be stronger than Guang Chengzi. This doesn't mean he would be stronger in terms of cultivation or other aspects, but rather that he would be of a higher rank in the Heavenly Dao.

However, the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle certainly could not achieve the same level of success as the Chan Sect during the Investiture of the Gods.

Ultimately, the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle is merely the middle vehicle lineage among the three vehicles of Buddhism, not the entire Buddhist path.

Luofu can only represent the Buddha of the Middle Vehicle. The one who can represent the entire Buddhist sect is the current leader, the World Honored One Tathagata of the Western Paradise, Mount Ling.

Although he had anticipated that his intermediate-level lineage would inevitably be drawn into this great calamity between humans and demons.

But Luo Fu never expected that everything would happen so quickly.

After the three Arhats helped Sun Wukong rescue Tang Sanzang and his disciples, within just ten days, several powerful figures from the Heavenly Court came to Ruzhen Temple seeking assistance.

If Sun Wukong hadn't come to Luofu for help, Luofu could have simply stayed inside and never come out.

But since an exception has been made, it's equivalent to lowering the bottom line, from "absolutely not" before to "not allowed in principle" now.

The so-called "not allowed in principle" is actually equivalent to making an exception.

Facing the powerful celestial beings from beyond the heavens who had come seeking his aid, Luofu sighed softly.

He knew very well that these so-called powerful figures who came to seek help were the very catalysts that would drag the Ruzhen lineage into the ranks of heroes, just like Shen Gongbao in the Investiture of the Gods.
