Captain Jack of Azeroth

Chapter 36 The golden cicada escapes from its shell

Chapter 36 The golden cicada escapes from its shell
In the evening, the human sailors returned to the camp with food and water. Because it was getting dark, the pirates in the camp did not notice that one of the humans was missing.

Everyone was busy making fire and cooking, and filling their stomachs was the most important thing.

The pirates took a lot of wine from the ship. After surviving the robbery, they needed alcohol to numb their nerves so that they could forget the horrors of the war.

Heavy came over with two bottles of rum and handed one to Jack.

Jack didn't reach out. "No beer?"

Heavy punched and laughed as he pressed the rum into his hand, "Real men drink rum."

Jack rolled his eyes speechlessly, uncorked the bottle, bumped the bottle with his fist, and took a sip. The strong liquor went down his throat, choking Jack and causing him to cough, but compared to the time with Fern, it didn't seem that strong.

After the red dragon's blood strengthened his body, even his alcohol tolerance improved.

Jack shook his head and laughed. It didn't matter to him whether his drinking capacity increased or not.

Chong Quan followed with a sip, his eyes fixed on the noisy pirate, "You did it on purpose when we were on the Savage Coast, didn't you?"

Jack's smile didn't fade, and he turned to look at Chong Quan, "What do you mean by intentional?"

Chong Quan didn't turn his head and said calmly: "I deliberately let the Black Wind Pirates kill those people."

Jack was silent for a long time before he picked up the bottle and clinked it with his fist again.

Chong Quan didn't ask any more questions. He just raised his head and started drinking with Jack.

After the pirates had eaten and drunk their fill, they all fell down near the campfire and fell into a deep sleep.

Chong Quan ate a lot of meat and fell asleep out of exhaustion. Jack leaned against a rock and planned to take a nap as well.

Although this stretch of coast had been searched and was temporarily safe, the Black Wind Pirates could arrive at any time, so he planned to keep watch on his own in the second half of the night.

However, not long after he closed his eyes, he heard a scream.

Jack stood up quickly and drew out his sword, but the scene before him made him frown: human sailors were hacking and killing troll pirates.

The goblins were awakened and quickly ran to Jack for protection.

Heavy Punch was also awakened. He quickly stood with Jack and asked the human sailors loudly: "What are you doing?"

The human sailors gathered around, "Jack, you are unworthy of being the captain. Your decisions have caused us heavy losses."

Jack pointed at the troll corpse next to the campfire, "What about you?"

The merchant ship guards avoided looking at them, they still had a conscience and felt that they had done something wrong. Although those were trolls, they were still their companions after all.

The human pirates scoffed at Jack's accusation. They had long wanted to kill the trolls. They chose to follow the merchants, partly to get rid of Jack, but more to take the opportunity for revenge.

A merchant came out and said with a smile: "Captain Jack, since we are all human, we don't want to do anything extreme. We plan to return to Stormwind and choose to serve King Varian. I hope you won't stop us."

Chong Quan said in a deep voice: "If you don't want to join us, you can just leave."

Jack heard the merchant's hidden meaning, "Do you want to take the ship away as well?"

The businessman spread his hands, "It's easy to talk to smart people."

The ship is not important, but the cannon on the ship is important. Stormwind City is in ruins, and a dozen cannons can greatly increase the military space.

He clenched his fist tightly around his battle axe and said angrily, "Allowing you to leave is already a great mercy, and you actually want to take the ship with you?"

Merchant: "Mr. Heavy Fist, I know you are powerful, but there are more than 20 of us. Do you think you can handle us?"

Chong Quan sneered: "As long as I kill you, they will surrender immediately."

When the businessman heard this, his face suddenly changed. He looked at the others, and sure enough, their eyes were evasive, obviously feeling guilty. At this moment, Jack reached out and patted the heavy fist's arm, then took a few steps forward.

"Okay, since you want to leave, let's just break up."

Jack glanced at them and said, "It's not impossible for you to take the boat with you. But you must not make things difficult for these goblins and others who don't want to go with you."

"We have a good time getting together and relaxing!"

Hearing Jack's words, everyone had different looks. But since Jack wanted to part ways amicably, they would not object. Jack and Heavy Fist were too powerful, there was really no need for a conflict, and who knows how many people would die.

The merchant saw that his side was not determined to fight, so he had to compromise: "Okay!"

The human sailors retreated to the seaside cautiously and returned to the Black Pearl in a lifeboat. After a while, the lights on the Black Pearl lit up and slowly left the bay.

Jack took the rest of the people to check on the trolls. Most of the trolls were dead, and only three of them survived thanks to their super regenerative ability.

"There is another person over there!" Nadro pointed to a stone in the distance, under which a person was wriggling.

Jack walked over quickly and found that it was the caravan guard Rude. However, he was tied up and his mouth was blocked by smelly socks.

After being released, Rude said in frustration: "Captain, I failed to stop their rebellion."

Jack laughed, "You are from Stormwind too, why didn't you come along?"

An embarrassed look appeared on Rude's face. "I offended a noble, so I went to work on a merchant ship. If I return to Stormwind, I might be framed by the nobles."

“A noble…”

There was a hint of coldness in Jack's smile, and bad memories from the past were awakened.

He reached out and pulled Rudd up, "Will you follow me?"

"Of course!" Rude said quickly, "Captain, I already admired you when you led us out of the cargo hold."

"Really?" Jack's smile grew warmer. "It would be my pleasure."

As he spoke, he led Rude back to the campfire. Chongquan and the goblins were treating the three troll pirates. Everyone gathered together and counted the number of people. There were only ten people left.

Chong Quan asked in a deep voice: "Jack, tell me your plan."

Everyone looked at Jack, who laughed, "Don't worry, guys. They took the ship away, but they also took away the attention of the Black Wind Pirates."

Nedlo asked in surprise: "Did you give the ship to them on purpose?"

Rude was a little confused. "But without a boat, what should we do next? Stay here and farm?"

Everyone looked at Jack again. They were pirates and didn't want to farm here.

Jack asked Nedlo, "You should be familiar with the route of the Black Wind Pirates, right?"

"Of course!" Nadro nodded. "I have been a captain for ten years. I am very familiar with the routes of the Eastern Kingdom."

"Then do you know where the Black Wind Pirates will get their fresh water in the Western Wilds?"

Nedro looked at Jack, "Do you want to...?"

Jack stood up and looked at everyone with deep eyes.

"Let's go grab another ship!"
