Captain Jack of Azeroth

Chapter 41 Storm at Sea

Chapter 41 Storm at Sea
Rumbling--

wow——

Violent thunderstorms continued to pour down on the sea, and the strong winds swept the Black Pearl, which was constantly tossed up and down by the waves. The pirates on the ship were thrown all over the place, especially the minotaurs and trolls who had just become sailors for a few months. They held on to the hull to prevent themselves from falling while spitting out acid.

It had been several months since they left Hot Sands Harbor, and the sailors were eager to follow Jack to sail north. However, a few days after they set out, they encountered a storm at sea and were forced to hide in a nearby bay.

However, there were too many reefs in the bay, and the Black Pearl ran aground while trying to avoid the reefs.

With no other options, Jack had to lower the lifeboat and take the crew ashore for temporary repairs.

After waiting for the storm to pass on land, everyone lit a bonfire, dried their clothes, cooked food, and prepared a hearty meal.

However, misfortunes never come singly. A huge black dragon suddenly appeared, scaring the sailors into fleeing into the swamp. When Jack found them, seven or eight sailors had already disappeared, probably killed in the swamp.

Even if the others didn't die, they had been hungry for many days. Jack had no choice but to wait until they recovered before continuing on his journey.

However, the Black Pearl had just left the bay when it ran into the big black dragon head-on. The black dragon chased the Black Pearl and sprayed a breath of dragon's breath when it got close to it. Fortunately, Jack raised his shield in time, otherwise he might have been burned to death by the dragon's breath.

Even so, he fell into a coma.

The crew had no choice but to flee to the depths of the sea. The big black dragon did not seem to want to kill them all, as if it only wanted to drive the Black Pearl out of its sphere of influence.

At night, the Black Dragon gave up the pursuit. Heavy Fist and Nedlo suppressed the pirates and found an island to stop and heal Jack's wounds.

When in Hot Sands Port, Jack bought a lot of potions, which came in handy at this time.

Thanks to Jack's own recovery ability, it took three months for Jack to finally recover. The sailors, who had been patient for three months, could not wait to set sail.

The Black Pearl had lost its direction and could only rely on the sun to determine its position. However, the sun's position determination had its limitations. It was impossible to determine its position at night, so it could only continue to sail in the direction observed during the day.

But the direction of the ocean current was strange, and Jack clearly felt that the Black Pearl had deviated. He wanted the ship to stop, but the sailors disagreed, as they were already eager to go to Azshara.

Jack was helpless. Three months of recuperation had reduced his prestige. He could not use force to intimidate the sailors like he did the pirates, not to mention that even his important assistants wanted to reach Azshara as soon as possible.

Nedro, the only one who knew about the deviation, was also blinded by money. He thought that he could readjust the course during the day and bring the Black Pearl back to the correct route.

He underestimated the strange ocean currents of the Endless Sea, and even more so the severe weather of the Endless Sea.

After sailing for half a month, not only did they fail to reach Azshara, but they also encountered a sea storm again.

The storm was so strong that it carried the Black Pearl to an unknown destination.

After a few days, the storm weakened. Jack climbed onto the bridge in the early morning, looked around, and found that he had arrived in a bay.

Azshara also has a bay, but this bay is obviously not in Azshara.

Jack called up the sailors who were still able to move, and then steered the Black Pearl into the bay. After slowly approaching, he discovered that the land south of the bay was not a peninsula, but an island.

The island was desolate, with no plants growing on it, as if it had been cursed.

Fortunately, the land on the north side of the bay is full of plants, and animals flash by from time to time. The food on the ship has been almost consumed during these days of sailing, and it is time to replenish some.

It was a good opportunity to take a break again. Jack also needed time to recover his body and prestige. Although his injuries had healed, he still felt the burning of the dragon's breath, like a thorn in his flesh.

Jack couldn't solve the pain for the time being, but prestige was easy to solve.

The Black Pearl slowly approached the land, and after fixing the anchor, the sailors lowered the lifeboat. Jack led the sailors to land and set up a temporary camp on the shore. The seasick sailors stayed in the camp to rest, and the others were divided into groups to look for fresh water, collect dry firewood, and hunt wild animals.

Jack climbed up a nearby hill and found orange trees on it. Jack picked a lot of oranges and brought them back to the camp.

Drifting on the sea for a long time can easily cause sepsis. Oranges are a fruit that can prevent sepsis, so Jack would look for orange trees every time he arrived at a place.

When Jack was in Steam Sands, he installed a magic storage box on the ship, which was specially used to store oranges. The sailors thought that this was a decision made by Jack for his own selfish desires, and they never thought that the oranges in the storage box could save their lives.

When the pirates saw Jack bringing back the oranges, they all turned away in disgust. After eating oranges for several months, their faces turned pale and they felt acid reflux when they saw oranges.

Jack ignored their reactions and loaded the oranges onto the lifeboat and transported them back to the Black Pearl.

At noon, everyone can finally have a peaceful meal.

The newly recruited Tauren Keen is very good at cooking. The lack of seasonings in the Barrens limited his cooking skills. When shopping in Steamwheedle Port, Jack bought a lot of seasonings and activated his cooking talent.

Jack also told Keane his knowledge of cooking. Keane quickly grasped the essence of it and his cooking skills improved significantly.

After eating and drinking, Jack gathered the sailors together.

"Guys, I think you can all see that we have lost our way."

The sailors looked at each other and fell silent. They all knew that it was wrong to insist on sailing at night.

Jack continued, "I don't mean to blame you, but you have to know why there is only one captain on a ship. The captain is the one who is responsible for leading everyone."

"I understand you doubting me after we were attacked by a black dragon. But from now on, you must know that the reason I can become the captain is because I have talents that you don't have."

The sailors smiled awkwardly, "Captain, it's not that we don't listen to your advice. We think you are not fully recovered yet and need to rest."

"What now?" Jack asked with a raised corner of his mouth.

"You are completely well now!"

The sailors said hurriedly.

If they continue like this, they might end up drifting on the sea until they die.

Jack was very happy to have regained the command. After assigning the tasks for tomorrow, Jack came to the beach and the smile on his face disappeared.

He took out the magic compass, and the needle on it kept spinning. Since leaving the Eastern Kingdom, the magic compass has been out of order, and it has not been repaired yet.

Without the magic compass, how will he lead everyone to Azshara?
