Captain Jack of Azeroth

Chapter 77: Dragon Descends from the Sky

Chapter 77: Dragon Descends from the Sky
The incident at Anglepoint Wharf shocked the Alliance, as they had never thought that there was such a powerful enemy in the ocean. This made the Alliance members more cautious about the ocean, and Lordaeron and the surrounding kingdoms gradually reduced their ocean trade. The admiral also ordered a large number of coastal defense guns to be set up on the cliffs on both sides of Anglepoint Wharf.

Based on the survivors' testimonies, Kul Tiras applied to other human kingdoms for a wanted warrant for Jack.

Soon, someone spotted a man who looked like Jack in Gilneas. The Gilnean guards were thrown off by the man who looked like Jack during the pursuit, but based on the direction he was heading, he seemed to be heading to Silverpine Forest.

A month later, someone found a man suspected to be Jack near Sepulcher. When the Sepulcher guards arrived at the destination, the man suspected to be Jack disappeared again.

A few months later, a fisherman who looked very much like Jack appeared around Lake Lordamere.

Jack walked quickly through the forest near Tarren Mill.

He originally thought that Lordaeron would be relatively safe, after all, few people knew him. Unexpectedly, he was recognized as soon as he landed in Gilneas, and the guards wanted to capture him like crazy. Over the past year, he has moved to many places, and whenever he is recognized, he will be hunted down by the local guards.

This puzzled him a lot, so he disguised himself and got some information from the tavern in Ambermill. Kul Tiras only offered a gold coin to reward him, which was only equivalent to a few months' salary for the guards. They wouldn't risk their lives like that!

Jack was very depressed and could only keep running away.

After leaving Lordamere Lake, he went into the Alterac Mountains. He thought that it would be difficult to be discovered in such a snowy and sparsely populated area.

As a result, he found a group of orcs in the mountains. When enemies meet, they are extremely jealous of each other. Jack clashed with the orcs and killed several of them.

However, there was a shaman among the orcs, and that shaman was so powerful that Jack was no match for him. Just when Jack was thinking about how to kill the orcs, the guards of the Kingdom of Alterac came over, and Jack had to flee again.

After escaping to the vicinity of Steinblad, Jack headed south into the woodlands. A few months later, Jack was spotted by the guards of Castle Gorhold again and had to flee once more.

"Jack Sparrow, you can't escape, just surrender!"

Jack gave a sarcastic smile. If he hadn't been afraid of attracting the attention of the entire alliance, these guards would have died long ago.

Crossing the hillside, Jack was about to run down to shake off the guards, but he didn't expect a red dragon to fly by not far ahead. On the back of the red dragon, an orc leaned down, as if looking for something.

Jack frowned. Could he be here to find him?
You can't blame Jack for thinking too much. With the Lucky Rabbit's Foot around, he thinks any outrageous thing is normal.

The red dragon suddenly blew out a breath of dragon, and two figures jumped out from behind the trees and rushed towards Jack. They were a human wizard and an elf ranger. When they saw Jack, they immediately waved their hands, "Run, there is a dragon——"

Jack was relieved to know that they were not chasing him. He turned his head and saw the guards behind him approaching, so he turned his eyes and immediately came up with a plan.

Jack quickly took out the captain's pistol, aimed it at the red dragon and pulled the trigger.

"Snapped!"

The gunshot caught the orc's attention. He turned around and saw a group of human guards on the hillside looking at them in fear. The orc frowned slightly, thinking that the wizard and the elves had arrived to help. After a slight hesitation, he immediately turned the red dragon around and swooped down, wanting to get rid of the reinforcements first.

The guards of Castle Goholde didn't care about Jack anymore and turned to run. But they didn't run far before they were drowned by the dragon's breath.

Jack curled his lips, went out from behind a tree, and then ran away quickly in the surprised eyes of the wizard and the elf.

After running a long distance, Jack picked up the Lucky Rabbit's Foot with a smile and said, "Did you show off your power?" The Lucky Rabbit's Foot did not answer, but was still flashing an invisible light.

Soon, Jack came to a stream. He had not had time to wash his face because he had been hunted for the past few days. He scooped up some water from the stream to wash the dust off his face, and then wiped his hands dry on his clothes.

Standing up, he saw burn marks on the trees ahead. Jack sniffed and smelled a faint smell of sulfur, which was caused by the dragon's breath.

Jack crossed the stream and followed the traces of dragon's breath burns, and soon found the bloodstains. Following the bloodstains, he found the bodies of two horses, and a lot of supplies were scattered beside the bodies.

Walking closer, Jack flipped through the supplies and found that most of them were burned by the dragon's breath. Among them was an elven longbow that was broken into two pieces. It should have belonged to the elven ranger just now.

He found some edible food from the supplies, found a rock to sit on, and prepared to have a big meal.

Suddenly a dagger was pressed against his throat, and then a scent came, "Don't move, I will kill you if you are moved!"

Jack raised his hands skillfully, "Hey man, I mean no harm, I'm just a little hungry, so I wanted to go through your supplies."

The Elf Ranger turned to Jack, and next to her was the human wizard. The wizard asked dissatisfiedly: "Why did you lead the red dragon to those soldiers?"

Jack said speechlessly: "They are chasing me!"

"Why are they chasing you?" asked the Elf Ranger.

"It should be for the bounty! I'm a pirate, and Kul Tiras has offered a gold coin for my capture." Jack glanced at the elf's dagger, "But judging from the looks of you two, you don't care about a gold coin, do you?"

The Elf Ranger sneered and reached out to take Quellnas off Jack's waist. "When did the pirates become so rich that they can even use magic swords?"

Jack reached out to take back Quellnas, but was pushed back by the dagger. He looked at the elf speechlessly, "This was given to me by my friend, he is an elven prince."

"Nonsense!" the Elf Ranger suddenly shouted, "The elves only have one prince, and I don't remember him having such a powerful magic sword."

Jack spread his hands helplessly, "Then I have nothing to say."

The human mage said at this time: "I don't think he is lying."

The Elf Ranger said dissatisfiedly: "Luoning, how can you trust the bad guys so easily?"

"Venera, I can feel his emotions, so I made this judgment." The human mage Roning said seriously.

Elf Ranger Vereesa rolled her eyes. "Even if he didn't lie, so what? He just killed more than a dozen Alliance soldiers. We can't just let him go."

"We have to hand him over to the Alliance soldiers. He is a pirate anyway..."

Jack was about to retort when suddenly a dragon roar was heard and a red dragon flew in quickly, spraying dragon breath towards the three people.
