The Queen of Scrolls never admits defeat

Chapter 975 Little Dragon Transformation

"I wonder... who else will be like me and Sylph, turning into elven babies or dragon hatchlings because of these invitations... and 'growing up' anew in this world?" Moran murmured softly.

There were five invitations from close friends in total: three from the elves and two from the dragons. She and Sylph each used one, leaving three remaining.

Thinking back to when I was first born, carrying an infant's body, I was indeed very unaccustomed to it at first.

But after that period, she felt that it was an incredibly precious and irreplaceable experience.

Sylph slept for thirty-two years.

A deep, resonant roar, seemingly emanating from the depths of the dragon's abdomen, echoed in the silent dragon's nest, even causing a few nearby gold coins to tremble slightly.

Sylph suddenly opened her eyes. Her jade-like vertical pupils were initially somewhat confused, but the next second, they were completely overwhelmed by a surge of hunger.

“Hungry… so hungry…”

She let out a soft moan with a dragon-like tone, instinctively opening her mouth to reveal her small but already showing sharp baby teeth.

Sylph groggily propped herself up, feeling much stronger in her limbs than before she fell asleep, but still somewhat clumsy.

Following her instincts, she crawled to the edge of a naturally formed shallow stone basin deep inside the nest.

The basin contains clear, sweet spring water rich in magical energy. At the bottom of the water are fine, luminous mineral particles, and at the edge of the spring, there are several clumps of thick, juicy, and faintly fragrant dark green moss.

Sylph buried her entire head in the stone basin, greedily swallowing the clear spring water, making a "glug glug" sound in her throat.

The cool, sweet liquid temporarily relieved the dryness in my throat and the burning sensation in my stomach.

After drinking her fill of water, she stuck out her tongue, curled up the lush moss along the edge, and swallowed it whole.

The moss, carrying the fresh scent of grass and trees and a rich, gentle magical energy, transformed into a warm current upon entering the stomach, soothing the raging hunger.

Over the years, she has successfully digested the inherited memories of the fledgling dragon stage, not only mastering basic dragon language magic, but also gaining a preliminary understanding of the power of her own bloodline.

More importantly, she learned the art of shapeshifting.

Once she had filled her stomach, Sylph was excited and wanted to try transforming immediately.

Taking a deep breath, the ancient green dragon power within him, which had been dormant for thirty-two years and had become more active and refined, began to flow and converge according to the ancient rhythm in his inherited memories.

A faint, vibrant emerald green halo emanated from beneath each of her fine scales, enveloping her entire petite dragon body.

The halo flows, shrinks, and deforms...

A few minutes later, the halo dissipated.

Sylph looked down at herself eagerly.

The first thing that catches the eye is a pair of hands and feet like those of a two- or three-year-old human child, with fair and delicate skin and a healthy rosy glow.

She moved her fingers and stomped her foot—well, she's quite flexible when it comes to controlling them.

However, looking further down...

A dragon's tail, covered in fine, emerald-green scales, was swaying uncontrollably behind it, rustling the gem fragments on the ground.

She reached up and touched the top of her head, and sure enough, a pair of small, curved dragon horns stood playfully in her hair.

There was something unusual about the vest, and the wings couldn't be folded up.

“Short arms and legs… can’t hide its tail… can’t retract its horns…” Sylph sighed in frustration and unconsciously stomped her foot again.

"Crack!"

A crisp cracking sound was heard.

Sylph froze and looked down. Where she had just stomped her foot, a gem the size of an egg, shimmering with a deep blue light, which had been embedded in a crack in the crystal on the ground, was now cleanly and neatly broken in two, its broken surface as smooth as a mirror.

"..."

She looked at her small, white, tender, and harmless feet, then at the two pitiful halves of the gemstone.

After a few seconds of silence, I couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Well, at least it proves that even though her transformation wasn't complete, the power of her body wasn't diminished at all; she was still a genuine Primordial Green Dragon!

After laughing, the slight annoyance dissipated considerably.

Sylph immediately wanted to contact Moran to share this "major development" with her!
[Sylph: Moran Moran! I'm awake! I slept... uh, I don't know how long! But I've learned to shapeshift, and also, I accidentally crushed the gem in the nest. [Image]]

Moran, who was engrossed in his research on the magic array of the city of Quellariel, sensed the unusual activity coming from the {Communication Card} in the Book of Cards and immediately took out the Communication Card.

The image shows Sylph with unusual hair color, cute dragon horns, and a restless, wagging tail, with two pitiful halves of sapphire at her feet.

"Pfft—" Even though Moran is usually calm, she couldn't help but smile at this moment.

She replied immediately.

[Moran: Sylph! Welcome back! Thirty-two years have passed, and it seems you've made considerable progress! Your transformation was a resounding success! To be able to stably maintain a humanoid form on your first attempt, retaining only a few dragon characteristics, is an extraordinary achievement for a fledgling dragon! Your strength also seems to have increased significantly? As for that gem… well, consider it a 'salute' to celebrate your successful transformation and increased power. The dragon's lair is never short of sparkly things, is it?]

Upon receiving Moran's restoration, Sylph's last bit of frustration from her incomplete transformation vanished.

[Sylph: Salute... Haha, Moran, you really know how to comfort a dragon!]

[Moran: How long does the transformation last? How does it feel? Has it helped you cultivate plants? While you were asleep, I tried sending you some {seed cards}, you can study them at your leisure.]

Sylph quickly opened the card magic interface, and seeing those {seed cards}, her tail wagged even more happily.

[Sylph: I see! So many seeds, thank you, Moran! I shouldn't be bored for a long time to come!]

As she was studying the plant seeds with great care, Sylph suddenly sensed a powerful energy approaching.

[Sylph: I'm not talking to you anymore, it looks like someone's coming!]

The communication ended abruptly, and Sylph put away the communication card and the seed card.

The next moment, a huge head covered with dark green scales slowly emerged.

It's a real, adult green dragon!

The dragon's gaze, like a physical searchlight, instantly locked onto the tiny figure in the nest that stood out from its surroundings.

It was supposed to be a routine check, but the results were unexpected.

Ysera, the green dragon who guards the dormant dragon's lair, saw the little creature inside and a look of surprise flashed in her eyes.

After re-examining the other dragon eggs, the initial shock turned to delight—they contained the bloodline of an ancient dragon! (End of Chapter)
