Chapter 976 Dragon Hatchling Paradise

Chapter 976 Dragon Hatchling Paradise
Ysera lowered her massive head slightly, moving closer to Sylph.

Sylph was caught off guard by the close and oppressive scrutiny, and her newly learned but still unskilled transformation technique completely failed, causing her to revert to her green dragon hatchling form.

Its fine scales stood up slightly due to tension, and it couldn't help but take a few small steps back. Its claws stepped on the loose gold coin, making a crisp "clatter" sound that was particularly clear in the silent nest.

Seeing the little guy so nervous that he almost tripped over himself, Ysera couldn't help but chuckle.

“Little one, don’t be afraid.” She spoke in pure, low dragon language, her voice less stern and more gentle. “I am Ysera, the guardian of the dormant dragon nest, the witness to the ancient tree rings and new vines, and the dragon instructor of the Green Dragon Forest. Tell me, what is your original name? How long have you been hatching?”

Sylph sensed the other party's goodwill and relaxed her tense body slightly, though the tip of her tail still unconsciously patted the gold coin gently.

“Sylph… hatched… thirty-two years ago,” she answered softly.

“Sylph…” Ysera repeated the name: “A simple yet vibrant original name, very good.”

"According to the records of the Dragon Nest, your parents... disappeared while exploring another world and never returned. The dormant Dragon Nest is not suitable for the growth of hatchlings. I will take you to the Hatchling Paradise in the forest!"

Ysera said, “The environment there is open, with low treetops and soft tundra suitable for the size of a fledgling dragon to practice flying, growth springs rich in various essential elements and dragon fruit trees that taste very good, and some companions of your age who do not have parents to take care of them.”

As your instructor, I will also capture some low-level magical beasts to teach you hunting and combat.

Sylph was intrigued by the description of the "Dragon Hatchling Paradise".

Although the dormant dragon's nest is golden and shiny and very beautiful, it is dark and sunless, and there are no plants. The baby dragon's paradise, on the other hand, is full of vitality and sunshine, and is very suitable for growing things.

She nodded her head slightly: "Okay, Isera... Instructor."

Ysera let out a satisfied groan and slowly retracted its massive head that had been probing into the nest. Then, a long, powerful dragon tail covered in dark green scales nimbly and steadily extended into the cave entrance.

The dragon's tail gently encircled the still somewhat bewildered Sylph, placing her steadily at the base of its broad back, where two slightly raised bony plates were just the right size for her little claws to grasp.

"Hold on tight, little Sylph, lower your body a bit."

The next moment, Ysera's massive body began to move, exiting the lair entrance.

Sylph gripped the cool, smooth, and incredibly tough scales beneath her, and suddenly felt her vision expand!
For the first time, she saw the view outside the nest.

As far as the eye can see, there is an endless green ocean of varying shades, filled with a rich sense of life and a damp mist.

Countless towering ancient trees rise from the ground, vines hang and entwine like giant dragons, distant lakes are like jewels adorning the forest, and in the far distance, a huge shadow seems to glide slowly between the clouds and the treetops.

Before she could get her fill of looking, Ysera spread her wings and leaped lightly and steadily away from the dormant dragon's nest.

The wind whistled past her ears, filtered gently by the magical aura that flowed naturally around Ysera. The scent of the forest wafted over her, a blend of earthy fragrance, floral aromas, resinous notes, and the life force of countless plants.

Sylph looked down and could see the tree canopy sweeping past like waves below. She greedily breathed in the vibrant air, and the plant-cultivating spirit within her was already stirring.

Before long, Ysera began to slow down and descended towards a relatively low-lying forest area with exceptionally lush vegetation and brighter light.

As she descended, Sylph heard a loud, youthful dragon's roar and the sound of wings flapping below.

"We've arrived!" Isera landed smoothly at the edge of a wide forest clearing.

In the center of the open space was a shallow pool of crystal-clear water, with rounded pebbles and softly glowing moss dotting its edge.

The open space is surrounded by "walls" formed by countless thick but flexible vines and trees that are naturally interwoven and woven together, creating semi-open "rooms" or platforms of varying sizes.

Some of these plants are covered with strange and colorful flowers, while others bear crystal-clear, delicious-looking fruits.

At this moment, a dozen or so green dragon hatchlings of varying sizes were active in the open space. Some were clumsily splashing around in the pool, exhaling fine, green mist-like breaths at each other; some were wrestling and playing in the open space, butting each other with their still-undeveloped horns; some were lying on the leaf platforms on the high ground, basking in the sun, lazily swishing their tails; and a few slightly larger ones with darker scales were gathered around a huge purple plant that would shyly curl its leaves as they approached, curiously probing it with their claws.

Ysera's landing immediately attracted the attention of all the little dragons. Those playing around stopped, those sunbathing raised their heads, and those playing in the water popped their heads out.

"Quiet, little ones." Ysera turned slightly to the side, allowing Sylph to slide off her back. "Today, a new member joins our dragon hatchlings. Her name is Sylph. She is younger than all of you and will need some time to adjust and grow. I hope you will treat her kindly."

Sylph's paws sank into the soft, thick moss-covered ground as she curiously observed the little green dragons, who weren't much bigger than her.

“Calib,” Ysera called out.

A small dragon, a size larger than Sylph, with darker bluish-green scales and a small white scar above its left eye, immediately ran over from the edge of the pool. Its movements were more composed than the other young dragons: "Instructor Ysera."

“Calyb is the largest hatchling here,” Ysera introduced to Sylph, then looked at Calyb, “Calyb, Sylph is in your care for now. Show her around the Leaf Nest and tell her the basic rules here.”

"Understood, Instructor!" Caleb puffed out his chest, looking somewhat proud, then turned to Sylph, trying to appear more reliable. "Hi, Sylph, come with me. There's a vacant leaf nest over there; I'll take you to see it."

"Ye Chao?" Sylph asked curiously.

"The place we live in is much smaller than the Dragon's Nest, but it's a good fit for our size and very comfortable!" Caleb said.

Sylph looked at Ysera.

“Go on, Sylph.” Ysera gently nudged her with the tip of her tail. “Get used to your new environment. I’ll come see you again in a while.”
