Chapter 997 I Want to Be Called Tracy

“Mother Tree Spirit said,” Moran said softly, her smile widening, “that Polly and Dominic’s little one is also due soon!”

“Really?!” Celine’s eyes lit up. “Then…”

Before she could finish speaking, little Vasita, who had been lying obediently in Moran's arms, suddenly wriggled, her little hands tightly gripping Moran's clothes, making indistinct "ee-ya" sounds, her blue eyes stubbornly staring in the direction of the door, the meaning clear: "I want to go!"

She suspected it was Tracy, or Lilith.

"This child..." Lila chuckled upon seeing this, "It seems little Vasita also wants to see her little friend from when she was in the tree as soon as possible!"

“Let’s go together!” Celine decided immediately, quickly helping Lila and little Vasita put on their robes. “Polly and the others will definitely need help too!”

When they arrived at Polly and Dominic's treehouse, they could faintly hear "ee-yah-yah" sounds and Polly and Dominic's laughter coming from inside.

"This is...already born?"

Celine quickly went up and knocked on the door.

The door opened quickly, and Dominic appeared in the doorway, his face beaming with joy, though tinged with fatigue.

"You are here!"

Dominic's eyes lit up when his gaze fell on the baby in Moran's arms: "Your child has been born too?"

“She was born half an hour ago,” Lila replied.

“Our baby was just born too, come in and let the two of them play together!” Dominic said.

Inside the cradle, a baby with Polly's hair color and Dominic's eye color was making soft, babbling sounds as Polly hummed gently.

Hearing the noise, Polly looked up: "Selene, Lady Lila, your child has been born too?"

Celine nodded: "Our little Vasita is so smart! She had her own ideas right after she was born and even gave herself a name!"

"so smart?"

Polly curiously touched Vasita's little hand: "Our child is very well-behaved, and it seems like she can understand my singing! Moran, could you use advanced wood speech to ask her what name she wants?"

"of course can!"

Moran gently placed the curiously peering Vasita into the cradle, placing her next to Polly's child.

As soon as Vasita lay down, she eagerly turned her little head and made "ee-ya" sounds at her new friend.

Now that the Wood Language spell on her body had stopped working, she could freely speculate about the baby's identity in her mind.

I don't know if it's Lilith or Tracy?

The baby next to him turned its eyes slightly, glanced at the overly excited "little chatterbox" beside it, and sighed like a little adult.

For Tracy, becoming a weak, drooling baby wasn't scary; what was scary was having two familiar faces around her.

Moran suppressed a smile, and as usual, took a picture of them first, then reached out and gently touched little Tracy's forehead with her fingertip.

The advanced wood language spell was used to connect the minds of the infants with the adults around them.

“Alright, now we can understand what you’re ‘saying’!” Moran winked at Tracy. Tracy understood and quickly regained control of her thoughts.

All eyes were on the two little ones in the cradle.

Polly couldn't help but speak softly, "Sweetie, tell Mommy what name you want? If you can't think of one, that's okay. Daddy and Mommy have thought of one for you: 'Alison,' which means 'light in the forest.' Do you like it?"

In the cradle, little Tracy gazed at her elf mother's gentle face, then glanced at her father's tense and expectant expression beside her. A clear thought resonated in the consciousness of all the elves present:
"Tracy! I want to be called Tracy!"

Polly and Dominic were stunned.

"Tracy?" This name was not one of those they had envisioned. Its pronunciation was ancient and unique, carrying a quiet strength that was quite different from their lively "Alison" idea.

“Tracy…” Polly repeated softly, looking into her daughter’s calm eyes, a strange feeling suddenly welled up in her heart. This name seemed to suit the child exceptionally well. She turned to look at Dominic.

Dominic nodded slowly, gently placing his large hand on Polly's hand, his voice low but firm: "Tracy... is fine too. It was her own choice."

Celine couldn't help but laugh, "Looks like our Vasita isn't the only one with her own opinions! Polly, Dominic, congratulations, Tracy is a great name!"

Lila nodded in agreement: "It's a gift that the child has such a clear sense of self at such a young age!"

Moran looked at the two little ones lying side by side in the cradle and said meaningfully:
"That's right! When I was born, I was just like them. I was conscious, but my body wasn't strong enough. It took me a long time to learn to speak and walk on my own!"

When Vasida heard this, she looked as if the sky had fallen.

A hint of surprise flashed in Tracy's eyes.

Moran chuckled and mischievously "reminded" her: "But don't worry, although we elves have a long growth period, taking a full hundred years to reach adulthood, it also means we have more time to lay a solid foundation and experience the world!"
Moreover... the clan's library was built very quickly.

I'll put all the spellbooks I've collected in there, so you won't be bored!

Tracy looked interested, thinking to herself, "I want to see!"

Since I'm just lying here anyway, I might as well learn something new.

Vasita covered her ears with her hands: "I don't want to hear it! I'm still a child!"

At an age when she can't even hold a book, they're trying to trick her into studying. How malicious their intentions are!

Their true feelings were laid bare, and Moran and the others burst out laughing in unison.

Dominic was a little troubled by his daughter's desire to read, and he touched her little hand:
"Tracy, be good. We can read those books when we're older. Just play with the little elves. When you're a bit older, Daddy will take you to the forest to watch the forest elves dance! But be careful, they might pull your hair!"

Polly recalled their childhood and nodded in agreement:
"If our little Tracy thinks the forest spirit is too noisy, I can take her to plant and pick flowers! Flowers are the cutest things in the world!"

Of course, our lovely little Tracy is now the winner!

Tracy blushed slightly as she was coaxed by her elf parents in front of her two younger witches.

But she herself didn't realize that her bright, sparkling eyes kept falling on Polly's mom and Dominic's dad.

That's wonderful, she has loving parents now!

Moran immediately raised her camera and captured this heartwarming scene. (End of Chapter)
