Chapter 543 The Evolved Knight of Windagher

Chapter 543 The Evolved Knight of Windagher

"Two weeks have passed, Spider-Man, where's your support?"

Inside the rebel base, Broomre glared at him with annoyance.

"I'm afraid they've already given up on you, this nobody, or maybe there's no such thing as the Heavenly Craftsmanship at all, and this is just an excuse for you, coward, to avoid facing the Supreme Evolution again!"

You're calling me a coward?

Peter jumped angrily down from the wall, pointed at Broomley, and roared, "Listen, this is your planet's business, it has nothing to do with me or John. We stayed to help you, but what about you?"

When Karen saw the argument starting, she rushed over to separate the two, and John also stood in between them.

“Sorry Spider-Man, Broomray is just getting a little restless,” Karen said kindly.

John added, "But it's really strange that the Heavenly Craftsmen haven't made a move for so long; they're usually very quick. Could it be...?"

A possibility suddenly occurred to him.

"Could it be that the flow of time is different?"

“You mean, like Interstellar?” Peter understood.

"Yes."

"But that's because there are extremely massive celestial bodies. Wait, Planet Kant is under the control of the Supreme Evolution. Perhaps he did do something, altering the flow of time on a small scale. If that's the case, then it's terrible."

Peter became worried.

"What are you talking about?"

“It means we might not get any more support,” Peter said. “If you have any plans or actions, then get started.”

"Hmph, this should have been done a long time ago! We wasted two weeks of our time!"

Brumley waved his hand and opened a map: "Just like the previous plan, we're going to steal the biological virus developed by the Ram Rider."

"This place is nothing like that tall tower."

Karen said, "We discovered that besides that tower, the Ram Riders have other secret research facilities."

"Alright, then let me—"

Peter was interrupted before he could finish speaking.

Broomley said, "We don't need you. Do you think we rebels have no capable men at all, Kit?"

Kitty, his body wrapped in bandages, stepped out.

Peter exclaimed in surprise, "Sending a child is your plan? Not to mention he's been subjected to... Wow?"

Kit proved his extraordinary qualities through his actions.

There was no body under those bandages at all, or rather, the bandages were his body.

“Kit’s body is invisible, so he used bandages to remind us where he was,” Karen explained.

“He was an innocent child, but that damned ram went around capturing humans to do his evil experiments, and that’s how he turned Kit into this!” Broomrae slammed his fist on the table.

That's why he loathed orcs so much.

The pain they inflicted on humanity is profound and indelible.

Peter didn't say anything.

He could completely understand Broomray on this point.

The oppression of humans by the orcs on this planet is unimaginable, far more complex than simply discrimination based on skin color on Earth.

It's more like India's caste system.

He hasn't been staying at the base the whole time these past two weeks; instead, he's been trying his best to be a good neighbor here.

Because he believed that there were people who needed help, no matter where they were.

That's why he was able to witness firsthand how several orcs, for their own amusement, brazenly set fire to human buildings with torches, burning several people to death.

If the watch hadn't broken, he could have saved everyone, but when he tried to transform into a fire-breathing man, Copytrix turned into a flame-fearing glider. Peter had no choice but to grit his teeth and rush into the flames, ultimately only managing to save one little girl.

He couldn't ignore the people of this planet.

But he also knew that he couldn't fight against the supreme evolution on his own.

"Looks like I'll have to figure out how to fix the watch," Peter thought. He had once helped Bant repair a watch, though it wasn't really a repair; Bant had asked him to operate it to unlock its limitations.

At the time, he was completely following Bant's instructions and had no idea about the watch's internal workings.

Peter tried hard to recall the structure of the watch he had seen before. Even if he didn't understand the principles, he figured that if he just copied it, he could make the watch more stable.

He removed a round lens from a discarded telescope, installed it on the watch face, and then wrapped it with tape to act as a protective case for the watch movement, preventing the watch's energy from constantly leaking out.

"At the very least, we need to get the wireless receiver back."

He found himself with another task, so much so that he had little time to pay attention to the ash annihilation device.

After that thing made his spider-sense go off non-stop, it disappeared as if it had never existed.

"But I have no idea where to begin looking."

Peter sighed.

"Kit, let's work together."

Kit was a little surprised, but nodded in agreement.

"Then it's up to you."

Karen said, "We'll be there to meet you. If the plan succeeds, we'll meet at the pre-arranged location."

Broomray led Peter and Kit to a location a few kilometers outside the Ram Rider Laboratory, where there were also a large number of robot guards.

“I could crash them all, but that would be tantamount to announcing our arrival. But this is fine too,” Peter thought for a moment, then said to Kit, “How about I act as bait and create some chaos?”

He also happened to have some questions he needed to ask Ram Rider.

For example, the whereabouts of the Infinite Receiver and the Annihilator.

Kitty nodded, and the bandages on his body came undone and disappeared.

Peter flicked his spider silk and was launched out.

They blatantly appeared in front of all the robots, and even set up a camera to locate them, hoping to make some extra money.

"Catch Spider-Man!"

Thousands of robots simultaneously sounded alarms and gave chase to Peter.

"Very well, come and chase me, robots." He paraded the robots above the city, dodging a barrage of attacks, and only when he found the right moment did he activate the electromagnetic pulse weapon, instantly paralyzing them all.

Meanwhile, Kit successfully infiltrated Ram Rider's laboratory.

"Very good, it's my turn to infiltrate."

Just as Peter was about to turn back, the spider sensed something and quickly dodged away.

A ball of fire fell from the sky and exploded where he had been standing.

Peter looked up and saw that the Ram Rider and a large group of animal friends had surrounded him overhead.

"It's you again, Spider-Man."

"I'm going to kill you today!"

The Ram Rider's voice was filled with rage.

"Good evening, little lamb, where are your horns?" Peter brought up the other's sad story as soon as they met.

"catch him!"

"Just you?"

"You'll soon find out why," Gongyang sneered. As soon as he finished speaking, the bat-men behind him seemed to burst into flames, their bodies turning into lava.

"Wait, is this the power of the Flame Man?"

Peter's heart skipped a beat; he had a bad feeling.

"This is all thanks to your contribution, Spider-Man!" Ram Rider sneered.

His body also burst into flames, becoming even taller than before, and the broken horns on his head were reforged by lava.

He was like a demon from hell.
