Warhammer: Angron Training Manual

Chapter 386: Lobbying the Primarch

Chapter 386: Lobbying the Primarch
……

Somewhere in Dawn Star.

The think tanks are preparing for the ceremony.

Qin Xia sat cross-legged at the center of the ritual array, closed his eyes, breathed calmly, and listened silently to the psychic communication from Kamas.

"Just now a child came from the Imperial Administration Zone through the blockade. He wanted to see his sick mother."

"Then a team of Skitarii from the Empire came and claimed that the child had been hired to steal a military secret. They demanded that we release him immediately and allow them to search the management area."

After Kamas finished speaking, he waited quietly for Qin Xia's response.

After the last syllable of the voice that was made ethereal by psychic energy echoed in Qin Xia's ears, Qin Xia responded to Kamas who was far away with psychic energy: "What is the boy's current situation?"

"His mother was indeed ill and was placed in a temporary hospital set up by Kramer. Now they are reunited," Kamas replied.

Qin Xia nodded slightly, and then ordered: "Tell Mago to get those people from the Crusaders to get out of here as far as possible."

“But they said they would take action if we refused.”

"I couldn't ask for more. Something should have happened to speed up the conflict, otherwise the stalemate will last forever."

"I understand."

Psychic communication ended.

The think tanks had already arranged the ceremony and all left the room.

Qin Xia calmed his mind and concentrated, using his spiritual power.

His thoughts transcended the limitations of time and space, traveling through the subspace, and came to a place in the subspace where more than a dozen soul projections were hidden.

These soul projections glow with light, a sign that a psychic is using psychic powers.

Qin Xia tried to infiltrate these soul projections and in this way get in direct contact with the owners of those soul projections.

Beside Qin Xia.

Beside the masters of those soul projections.

All of them appeared as an illusion.

The illusion that replaced the room was a snowy field.

Angron and an astropath appeared in the snow at the same time. He looked around and saw Qin Xia using psychic power, then stood there waiting.

The next to appear was Guilliman, and one of Guilliman's Librarians.

Then there was Chagatai and Yesugei of the White Scars…

All the Primarchs who had met Angron and the psykers who helped Qin Xia create the illusion appeared in the snow.

The reasons for the appearance of these Primarchs were different. Some of them were waiting next to the think tank because the think tank had just communicated with Qin Xia in star language.

Some are very close to the think tank, and then illusions appear.

Others were talking to a descendant when they were suddenly pulled into an illusion.

The Primarchs' superhuman thinking abilities quickly adapted to the illusion and realized what this illusion was equivalent to - a means of faster-than-light communication.

Thanks to the psychic magic cast by Qin Xia, all the Primarchs who had met Angron could communicate with Angron and Qin Xia face to face no matter where they were.

"It's a more advanced communication method than Star Language." Fulgrim puffed out his chest, stretched out his hand to catch a falling snowflake, and said with a smile, "It seems that little Qin Xia's psychic power is even stronger than the last time we met."

"What the hell is this little Qin Xia?" Perturabo frowned. "This arrogant bastard is only a little smaller than us Primarchs. It's rare to find a Thunder Warrior as big as him!"

Angron looked toward Perturabo.

Perturabo avoided Angron's gaze and tried to find a topic to distract him from asking him questions. "Also, how did you get me in here? I was strategizing in the fortress, and suddenly some guy with bright eyes dragged me in!"

"One of your descendants has awakened psychic power." Qin Xia said, "Otherwise, with your Fourth Legion having no think tank, you would not be able to enter this illusion even if you were anxious enough to cry."

Angron stared at Perturabo and asked, "We agreed to return together. Why did you go your separate ways? My Captain of the Eighteenth Company... The Second Chapter Master said that you helped him end a war of conquest, and then you left with the Legion. What did you experience there?"

Perturabo avoided Angron's gaze, but his thoughts were read.

Overall, I feel very regretful.

Perturabo regretted leaving without saying a word, but he did not want to admit that he regretted it, so he made trouble for Qin Xia, hoping that Angron would not ask him questions by arguing with Qin Xia... but he obviously failed.

"I am a Primarch, I can do whatever I want," Perturabo said.

“Okay.” Angron nodded. “We’ll settle this later. Now let’s discuss something serious.”

"Is it about your Nuceria and Ultramar confronting the Empire?" asked Jaghatai.

Angron acknowledged silently.

Guilliman on the side also agreed.

"What are you doing?" Perturabo glanced at Angron and Guilliman. "Why do you insist on expanding Nuceria? Why do you insist on assigning Space Marines to manage mortals? What's wrong with you? If you were as honest as before, the Empire would not have the time to care about you."

"Guilliman started building the Five Hundred Worlds many years ago, and he hasn't had any trouble from the Emperor or Malcador!"

"you……"

As Perturabo was about to continue, Angron raised his hand and whispered, "Hush. Silence."

Perturabo shut his mouth in dissatisfaction.

"I told you we'll settle the score later. You don't have to rush into it and try to provoke me and then wait for me to kick you out so you don't have to face my questions." Angron said, "You know why but you're still playing dumb. Brother, this is not a tool for you to avoid the problem." Perturabo fell silent, like a different person, not as irritable as before.

Seemingly even calmer and more collected than Guilliman.

This was the reaction he would have when he realized that his resistance was useless.

Angron looked at each of his brothers.

Perturabo, Curze, Horus, Fulgrim, Ferrus, Vulkan, Sanguinius, Jaghatai, Corax, Leman Russ, Eleven, Guilliman, Lion.

All the Primarchs who had met Angron in the past were present.

Their inner thoughts were also sensed by Angron through the psychic link established by Qin Xia.

The Primarchs have learned the details of the conflict on Dawn.

Because before these Primarchs entered the illusion, they saw everything that happened on Dawn Star as if they had received psychic communication.

“The conflict on Dawn concerns every one of our Primarchs and Legions, as well as those of our absent brothers,” said Angron.

"This is your own business." Ryan said, "Nukeria and Ultramar are in conflict with the Empire. Luther said that the Empire's forces have no good intentions, but what can you do even if you have good intentions? In the end, no matter who wins or loses in the conflict, the conflict will not become closely related to each of us."

Angron waited quietly for Ryan to finish speaking, and then continued what he had not finished saying.

"We are not seeking to take over a world in the Dawn system."

"My foster father, I and Guilliman, the three of us are acting for a goal that will benefit all of us, and that is to obtain a seat for the Astartes in the Imperial Senate, even if it is just one seat. We need someone who can represent all of us to explain our needs to the Imperial high command, we need someone who can represent our interests."

Angron looked at Ryan, who wanted to ask a question.

"My brothers, you may already know what I mean by the Imperial Council, but I still need to explain. It is the new powerful body that will replace the War Council, an institution with unclear specific responsibilities."

All the Primarchs fell into deep thought at the same time.

As for the Imperial Senate...some news had at least reached the ears of the Primarchs, and they also knew that this organization would be a mortal organization, without any Astartes.

This is quite different from a war council.

The War Council had the participation of Astartes, who could express their opinions and make requests to the War Council on behalf of their Primarchs... Although they were often ignored, they still had some say.

The Imperial Senate is a purely mortal institution, and the Primarchs can realize the interests involved in an instant.

"So," Horus began, "during the Dawn Star Conflict, the goal that the War Council and the Imperial Senate wanted to achieve was to replace each other or not be replaced by each other? Just for this one thing?"

Angron nodded. "Yes. At least that's what the war council said."

After saying that, Angron looked at Qin Xia.

Qin Xia looked at Angron in silence. He just wanted to watch Angron persuade his primarch brothers like an opinion leader.

At the same time, Qin Xia also felt that some of these primarchs hated him very much, and if he spoke up, it might have the opposite effect.

"I am not seeking to seize a single star system from Dawn," Angron said. "If we can work together to secure an Astartes seat in the Imperial Senate, I will give up Dawn. As for the people of Dawn, they have plenty of ways to leave Dawn and enter Nuceria or Ultramar, so they don't have to endure Imperial rule."

The Primarchs were silent, thinking.

"Consider the poor management of the war council, my brothers."

"The war materials that should be distributed to one of our legions are held in their hands and we cannot get them. This is the case even for the military materials produced by the Imperial Industrial World, not to mention the warships produced by the Mechanicus."

"But no matter what the War Committee is like, we still have the right to express our opinions in the committee. If the Imperial Parliament were to take over everything, how would we be treated?"

At this point, Angron looked at his brothers who were disgusted with the war council.

"You can actually imagine how an organization where our legions don't even have the power to say a word will manage us."

Angron looked back at the man who was absolutely loyal like Lion.

The Lion was devoted to the Emperor's will and cared little for the nonsense of the War Council or the Imperial Senate.

Loyalty itself is a reward and that’s it. The First Legion has no shortage of war supplies anyway.

There are also Primarchs like Lion, such as Curze, who believed that the Emperor was omniscient and omnipotent, and that everything he did must have reasons, and that the reason he did not do anything must be because he had some big plan, as well as a few others.

Angron tried a different approach.

"Lian, think about what will happen when we completely lose the power to speak in front of an imperial institution. We will gradually ignore that institution. They are not influenced or recognized by us, so naturally, the orders they issue will not be recognized or accepted by us."

"Think about it again. When we no longer agree with each other and gradually go in opposite directions..."

Ryan looked up suddenly, thinking that what Angron said made sense.

This is no longer a question of power or not, but the Imperial Senate may cause a rift between the Space Marine Legions and the Empire.

But Llane still did not agree, because he felt that the Emperor could not have failed to think of this step.

"I beg you earnestly, my brothers."

Angron's tone was firm and sincere.

"I ask that we work together to change something, something that could lead the Astartes and the Imperium in opposite directions."

"You can participate, or you can let my adoptive father dispel the illusion now. I won't force you. Then I will fight for the interests of all our legions with my brothers who agree with me, and fight to maintain an empire where superhumans and mortals can move forward hand in hand."

Guilliman stood beside Angron and said to his brothers, "The future members of the Council of Astartes will also speak for the Legions that do not participate in this matter. You do not need to worry about anything. Just make your decision."
