In the original storyline, they all died, so now that they're courting death themselves, Lin Bei won't stop them.

Not to mention trying to rescue them.

Since Lin Bei has this attitude, Constantine will not interfere with the lives of others.

The two of them, one sitting on the sofa and the other on the floor, along with Julie who was sitting right next to Constantine, waited for dawn.

Lin Bei thought to himself that the other four must have already discovered a human organization underground, and that the four of them might have already been forced to the ground and sacrificed by those researchers.

But Jolie is still here. Even if the other four die, there's still one left, right?

Even if Julie dies before dawn, it won't work.

Because of Dina.

The five people they chose corresponded to five different identities: prostitute, fool, athlete, scholar, and virgin.

Diana's position should have been that of a virgin.

Too bad she isn't.

She slept with her professor.

This was also due to planning errors by this group of arrogant researchers.

A thorough investigation will reveal that such a basic mistake would never have occurred.

Lin Bei thought to himself that none of these things concerned him; he just needed to wait until dawn to meet that legendary evil god.

Time passed slowly, and the sky gradually turned a pale white.

To Lin Bei's surprise, he had originally thought that the group of researchers from the human organizations below would fight out for the sacrifice.

But even as dawn broke, there was still no sound from underground.

Julie had fallen asleep in Constantine's arms. Constantine leaned against the edge of the sofa, looked up at the sky, and said wearily, "How long are we going to have to wait? Can you hurry up? I'm sleepy."

Lin Bei found it somewhat amusing: "If you're sleepy, just go to sleep. The evil god isn't counting on you when he comes out."

Constantine pulled out a cigarette and lit it: "No way, I absolutely won't miss a single exciting moment."

Just as he exhaled a smoke ring, Constantine paused, then asked, "Did the ground shake?"

Lin Bei slowly stood up and straightened his collar: "It's time for me to take action."

Constantine waved his cigarette-holding hand: "Good luck, and while you're at it, think about where to go next."

Lin Bei ignored Constantine because just as the earthquake was trembling, he felt a tremendous force coming from deep underground.

This is undoubtedly a failed sacrifice, and the evil god is about to awaken.

In the original storyline, once the evil god awakens, it will cause world-wide destruction, with no chance of survival.

Sensing the tremors beneath his feet growing more intense, Lin Bei leaped into the air above the trees.

He hovered high in the sky, looking down at the entire forest. This forest was very large and was a sacrificial site specially designated by human organizations.

All the trees were trembling, and countless birds flapped their wings and took flight from the forest, scrambling to escape for their lives.

Just as the birds were flying around in disarray, the ground beneath their feet suddenly split into four pieces, and a huge black shadow shot up from the ground, quickly breaking through the earth and reaching the gray sky.

It was only then that Lin Bei saw what the evil god looked like.

It has to be said that this evil god is more imposing than any other evil god Lin Bei has encountered before.

Its body is as large as a mountain, its shape resembles a goddess sculpture, and its entire body is like a rock, covered with the cracks that are characteristic of rocks.

The evil god was like a hard rock piercing the earth, easily destroying an entire forest within a ten-kilometer radius. It raised its head and let out a deep roar, causing the whole world to tremble.

Lin Bei narrowed his eyes and stared at the evil god. This evil god was much more powerful than the Great Black Buddha Mother he had encountered before, and he could sense that the powerful force released by this evil god was aimed at destroying the world.

A fighting spirit that had never been seen before finally appeared in Lin Bei's eyes. He chuckled and flicked his hand, releasing even more powerful force to suppress the evil god.

The evil god originally wanted to leave this place and continue to wreak havoc elsewhere, but a powerful force suddenly pressed down from above, forcibly stopping the evil god's movement.

The evil god slowly raised its head with a gloomy face. Its body was so huge that even the slightest movement could cause the mountains and forests to tremble.

With just this one movement of looking up, the earth was torn open again, as if by paper, creating another large crack.

It saw a tiny black shadow, no bigger than a sesame seed, hovering high in the sky.

The power that was able to suppress it was released by this insignificant human being.

The evil god felt a surge of anger. It had been sealed away for so many years, and now that the seal was finally broken, its instinct was to destroy the world.

But now there are actually humans who dare to stand up and stop it!
Even with such immense power, the evil god immediately recognized the creature hovering high in the sky as a human!

Why can humans fly?
This is not within the scope of the evil god's considerations. What it wants to do is to first take down this human who dared to stop it.

With that thought in mind, the evil god immediately took action.

The evil god unleashed a fierce and tyrannical power, and gray-black smoke swirled around it, quickly rising upwards.

Lin Bei, high in the sky, raised an eyebrow slightly, noticing something amiss.

Everything that came into contact with the gray-black smoke turned into black powder and dissipated in the wind.

Lin Bei said coldly, "You do have some skill. No wonder you're called the evil god who destroys the world. Just one fart from you and half the world is doomed."

Just as Lin Bei was complaining, the gray-black smoke rose faster and faster, seemingly about to engulf the entire sky along with Lin Bei.

The sun had already risen above the horizon in the east, but its light couldn't penetrate the gray-black smog and was easily obscured.

Lin Bei raised an eyebrow slightly, a cold glint in his eyes. This move certainly wouldn't harm him, but Lin Bei found it quite interesting.

Just like a poisonous fog, it leaves nothing but barren land wherever it goes.

Lin Bei thought for a moment, then raised his hand and aimed at the approaching gray-black smoke, activating the power of the Shadow Monarch.

Black liquid surged out from beneath Lin Bei's feet, and almost instantly, it rushed toward the gray-black smoke that was already approaching.

Wherever the black liquid went, it enveloped the gray-black smoke. The black liquid spread out in the high sky like a black net, firmly swallowing all the gray-black smoke.

After the gray-black smoke merged with the black liquid, it ceased its activity and could no longer erode everything around it.

The black liquid plummeted from the sky, crashing heavily onto the shattered earth, and slowly crept outwards. The evil god watched in disbelief; it couldn't believe that the dark matter it had released could be so easily neutralized by a human.
The evil god roared to the sky, and the whole world began to tremble in response to the roar.

In the distance, cracks appeared faintly in the earth, seemingly caused by the commotion of an evil god, which triggered a major earthquake.

Presumably, other places are not much better off. Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, all natural disasters have enveloped the entire world because of the arrival of the evil god.

Lin Bei gazed calmly at the evil god below, who was still roaring incessantly: "It seems I need to finish this quickly. I haven't had enough fun in this world yet, and I don't want it to be destroyed by you so soon."

At this point, Lin Bei's gaze toward the evil god turned cold. He snapped his fingers and used the incantation "Candle Dragon".

As Lin Bei uttered two words, the surrounding temperature suddenly rose, and countless fireballs appeared out of thin air high above the evil god.

The fireball rolled and slowly drifted downwards towards the evil god. The lower the fireball went, the more intense the heat scorched everything below.

Even the evil god felt that inexplicable heat.

The evil god stared at the fireball with a gloomy face. It could sense the immense power within the fireball. It slowly opened its mouth and moved its neck, seemingly trying to swallow the fireball whole.

Lin Bei sneered, and with a wave of his hand, all the black liquid that was crawling on the ground rushed towards the evil god.

Almost instantly, it climbed onto the evil god's body and tightly wrapped around its slowly opening mouth.

The evil god was taken aback and tried to fight against the strange black liquid, but it was astonished to find that its strength was no match for the black liquid.

The evil god refused to accept this fact and, ignoring the fireball above his head, fought desperately against the black liquid covering his body.

At the same time, the fireballs above their heads rolled and transformed into enormous heads. This time, unlike before, the heads were much larger than usual due to the vast surrounding environment.

The head slowly opened its mouth, spewing out thick, crimson flames resembling magma.

The flames flowed high in the sky, quickly converging to form a fire dragon even larger than before.

The moment the fire dragon appeared, the surrounding temperature had reached an extremely terrifying level. However, because the evil god had previously released a gray-black mist that destroyed everything, there was nothing left to burn.

The giant fire dragon hovered in mid-air for a moment, then let out a deafening roar before pouncing down on the evil god.

The evil god was still struggling to tear the black liquid off its mouth, but it was powerless against it and was now tightly bound by the giant fire dragon.

Enraged, the evil god disregarded the black liquid in its mouth and began to frantically twist its body, trying to get rid of the giant fire dragon.

How could the giant fire dragon let it succeed?
Then, the giant fire dragon bit the evil god's neck and tightly wrapped itself around him. The giant fire dragon was scorching hot, and the flames continued to erode the evil god.

Logically speaking, the body of an evil god should not be burned through by flames.

The problem is, this is a flame from Lin Bei.

It was the incantation "Candle Dragon" used by Lin Bei.

Lin Bei's "Candle Dragon" can burn through everything in the world; anything is insignificant in front of his "Candle Dragon".

As the giant fire dragon continued to unleash its power, the evil god gradually became overwhelmed.

Its body began to sway, and with each sway, the earth trembled. The mere presence of this evil god was enough to cause the land within a radius of hundreds of miles to collapse.

The giant fire dragon bit through the evil god's neck and spewed flames into it. The flames instantly pierced through the evil god's entire body and emerged from various gaps.

The evil god finally revealed a look of pain. It even struggled and could only look at Lin Bei high above with resentful eyes.

Lin Bei crossed his arms and watched as the giant fire dragon devoured the evil god bit by bit. He smiled and waved his hand at the evil god: "Alright, you're one of the evil gods who've lasted the longest in my hands. I'll accept your move, the poisonous mist of gray-black smoke."

As Lin Bei finished speaking, the giant evil god finally couldn't hold on any longer and collapsed with a thud.

The giant fire dragon unleashed its full flames, engulfing the evil god completely.

The flames burned for over an hour before Lin Bei, sensing that the evil god's power had completely dissipated, waved his hand and extinguished them all.

Even after the last flame disappeared, the surrounding temperature was still very high. The earth was scorched and scarred, and it didn't look like there was any living thing there.

Lin Bei belatedly realized, "Oh dear, I hope Constantine doesn't die. I don't want to drive myself."

With that, Lin Bei dove down and landed on the ground.

Upon reaching the ground, they discovered up close that the surrounding area was a wasteland, like the end of the world.

The forest within a ten-kilometer radius has vanished, and as far as the eye can see, there is nothing higher than the north side of the forest. The earth is scorched black and still emitting white smoke under the high temperature.

Lin Bei released his divine sense and scanned the area, finally discovering Constantine's whereabouts.

He arrived at the address that should have been the cabin, found the entrance to the basement, raised his hand and used the black liquid to dig open the entrance, then jumped down.

It has to be said that it's fortunate that there was this massive base dug by the human organization.

After descending from the basement and going several hundred meters deeper, the surrounding darkness abruptly changed.

It felt like entering some kind of high-tech equipment, with silver-white decor all around. In front of you was a transparent glass wall containing countless empty elevator cars, all of which had stopped operating due to lack of staff.

Lin Bei stepped onto the ground, glanced at the blood-soaked ground, and was wondering what had happened when he heard Constantine's lazy voice coming from afar.

"Damn it, luckily I acted quickly, otherwise you would only be able to collect my corpse on the ground now... oh no, I might not even have left the corpse behind, it would have turned into dust and floated away."

Lin Bei strode over and found Constantine leaning against a corner smoking behind a control console.

At his feet lay Julie, already dead, and the carcass of a giant vampire bat.

Lin Bei raised an eyebrow, signaling Constantine to explain.

Constantine, puffing on his cigarette, cursed, "What a fucking mess! I brought Julie down here to escape that evil god and your attacks, but there are monsters underground! These monsters killed everyone underground, including Dina and the others. Julie didn't have to die, but she insisted on running around. Look what happens when she runs around like that."

Lin Bei didn't care about the lives of others. He stepped over Julie's corpse and kicked Constantine's leg: "Alright, let's go. Speaking of which, the car seems to be gone. What should we do?"

Lin Bei only remembered that the car had been parked outside the cabin when he saw Constantine.

But the forest is gone. Even if the car can evade the evil god's gray-black smoke, it will definitely not be able to escape Lin Bei's Word of Power "Candle Dragon".

Hearing Lin Bei's words, Constantine's eyes widened, and he sprang to his feet: "Damn it, I forgot about the car! But how dare you ask me? Aren't you the one fighting on the ground? Wasn't that the first thing you considered before the battle? I should be asking you, what do we do now? There aren't any cities within a hundred miles, are we going to walk over?"

Lin Bei was silent for a moment.

Thinking about it, it really was his problem.

Lin Bei sighed helplessly, then opened a spatial portal: "Okay, I understand. Let's go, let's buy another one. I remember we still have some money left, let's buy a nice one." (End of Chapter)
