For the first time, Lin Bei did not refute Constantine's condemnation.

He directly opened a spatial portal and took Constantine to the nearest city.

The two went straight to the most luxurious car dealership, picked out a Porsche, paid, and drove it away.

With Lin Bei's directions, Constantine gripped the steering wheel and drove east.

Once they were out of town and on a deserted highway, Constantine opened the convertible top and whistled excitedly: "A new car is awesome! I should have changed it sooner. What a piece of junk I was driving before!"

Lin Bei didn't care what kind of car they took. He glanced at Constantine but didn't say anything discouraging.

For example, the more expensive the car, the less likely it is to be able to travel long distances.

It probably won't last long before it has to be scrapped.

The luxury car's engine sped along the empty highway, heading into the distance.

In just one day and one night, guided by Lin Bei, Constantine drove the car into a dense forest.

As they drove along the forest road, the surrounding light gradually dimmed. Constantine turned on the headlights, frowned, and muttered, "Another forest? Damn, I hope this time it won't end up like last time, with the world being destroyed. Will I even be able to keep this car this time? I just bought it a day ago!"

Lin Bei did not answer Constantine.

Because it was only after driving into the forest that he remembered what had happened there.

The Abyss of Hell.

The story of Hell's Abyss is about the mysterious disappearance of several prisoners in a secluded monastery.

There are even rumors that monks in this monastery kidnapped seven young girls and imprisoned them there.

Young police officer Marek disguises himself as a clergyman and infiltrates the monastery to investigate a series of cases.

He only learned after entering the monastery that it was a clinic where monks treated those who were possessed.

At first, Marek didn't believe in these supernatural phenomena, but after experiencing a series of strange events after moving into the monastery, he had to believe that demons really existed in this world.

Fortunately, perseverance pays off. Marek gathered a lot of evidence and found the seven murdered girls. Just as he was preparing to secretly escape from the monastery, he discovered that he had no way out.

Marek was kidnapped by the monks and forced to undergo a horrific ritual. When the flesh and blood of a virgin were fed into Marek's mouth, the demon sealed within him finally broke through the boundary between hell and earth and came to the monastery.

Lin Bei vaguely remembered that in the end, the demon killed everyone in the monastery, then left the monastery to destroy the world.

That's how the movie ends.

Lin Bei stroked his chin, thinking that it was another one that wanted to destroy the world, but this time it was a demon, which was much easier to deal with than that extremely destructive evil god.

Lin Bei thought for a moment and then said directly, "If you drive another kilometer, there will be a monastery. Use your persuasive skills to make sure we stay there. There are some fun things to do inside."

Constantine stepped on the gas, rolled his eyes, and said, "A monastery? This deep in the mountains, damn it, are there only monks and no nuns? By the way, what's so fun about a monastery, or is there some incredible secret hidden here?"

Constantine kept rambling on and on, but Lin Bei pretended not to hear him.

Just as the sun was about to set, a large iron gate, half-open, finally appeared not far in front of the car.

Constantine was worried about the car, but he couldn't tell Lin Bei to go down and open the door, so he had to stop the car and go around to push open the iron gate himself.

Just as Constantine went down to push open the iron gate, Lin Bei looked up and glanced at the monastery in the distance behind the iron gate.

In the dim light, the old monastery stands quietly in the dark forest. This monastery is somewhat different from the traditional monastery.

There was not a trace of divine power present; only a chilling and malevolent aura emanated from it.

Lin Bei narrowed his eyes slightly, able to tell that this monastery had a lot of problems, and also that it would be incredibly fun to go inside.

The more dangerous it is, the more fun it is.

Just as Lin Bei was pondering, Constantine returned. He got into the driver's seat, cursing as he started the gas: "You managed to find this godforsaken place? That's fucking ridiculous! Didn't you smell the stench of evil coming from that monastery? I was about to rot from the stench! And you're actually going to spend the night there!"

Despite saying that, Constantine still drove the car toward the monastery with a dark expression.

Lin Bei propped his chin on one hand, lazily glancing up at the dark clouds above the monastery: "Since we're already here, don't overthink it. How about I give you a task: guess who the demon is hiding inside? And which demon is it?"

Constantine gave Lin Bei the middle finger: "Don't talk to me like you're teasing a dog. I hope you can finish this quickly this time. I want to leave this godforsaken place before dark tomorrow."

Lin Bei smiled and remained silent as he watched the monastery draw closer.

Constantine's disgusted attitude suggests that the demon here is no ordinary being.

No wonder they have the ability to destroy the world.

After the two drove to the monastery gate, Constantine turned off the engine and dutifully went to knock on the door.

Lin Bei also got out of the car, but instead of approaching, he leaned against the car and waited quietly for Constantine to negotiate.

Constantine knocked on the door for a full half hour.

If Lin Bei hadn't told him that there were definitely people inside, Constantine would have given up.

When the door was opened a crack, a short, stout, bald monk revealed half his face and looked at Constantine warily: "We do not receive outsiders here. Please leave immediately."

Constantine suppressed his anger and forced an apologetic smile: "I'm sorry, we are from the church and are on our way to the next village to perform an exorcism. But it's getting late, and the village is still a three-hour drive away. We can't travel at night to avoid encountering wolves. Would it be convenient for us to stay here for the night?"

As he spoke, Constantine also showed the token he had casually picked up at the church earlier.

He had kept this keepsake in his pocket for more than half a year, and it finally came in handy.

However, it was clearly of no use to the monks in the monastery.

The bald monk glanced coldly at the token, but did not open the door for Constantine. Instead, he continued coldly, "Our monastery is different from other monasteries. We are a clinic that accepts those possessed by evil spirits and performs exorcisms. We do not accept temporary residents. Everyone who comes in must be baptized and cannot leave for seven days. Are you sure you want to come in?"

Constantine narrowed his eyes slightly, noticing something amiss. Why was this monastery so strict?
Does this also restrict the personal freedom of those who are not possessed?
But he insisted on going in to see what was hidden inside.

Constantine's rebellious streak kicked in. Seeing the bald monk about to close the door, Constantine suddenly blocked it and laughed, "Traveling at night isn't safe. Maybe the people in the village who need exorcisms will be sent here. Let's come in and help, what do you say, Lin Bei?"

When it came to the last sentence, Constantine raised his voice to ask Lin Bei, who chuckled and said calmly, "You're right, let's go in and help."

The bald monk stared at Constantine with a gloomy face, then glanced at Lin Bei, who was leaning against the car in the distance.

It's unclear what the bald monk was thinking, but his tightly furrowed brows relaxed, and he opened the door: "Since you insist on coming in, then come in, but you must abide by our rules once you're inside."

Constantine waved to Lin Bei behind him and stepped into the monastery first.

After Lin Bei came in, the bald monk closed the door and locked it with a heavy iron lock.

Afterwards, the bald monk led Lin Bei and Constantine into the monastery.

As they walked, he gave them a brief introduction to the "rules" of the monastery.

During the day, they need to help exorcise people possessed by evil spirits in the monastery.

After dinner, we went to church to pray together. After the prayer, we returned to our respective rooms and were not allowed to leave our rooms no matter what noises we heard.

As the bald monk finished speaking, he turned and glanced at Constantine and Lin Bei, who were curiously looking around. He emphasized in a gloomy tone, "You absolutely, absolutely cannot leave your rooms at night. You are members of the church, so you must be able to sense the strong hellish atmosphere in our monastery, because many people who are possessed by evil spirits live in the monastery."

If you leave your rooms without permission and anything happens to you, our monastery cannot guarantee your personal safety.

Constantine nodded with a smile: "Don't worry, now that we're here, we'll definitely follow your rules. We're not the kind of people who would break the rules at will."

Lin Bei followed Constantine with his hands behind his back, thinking to himself, "No way. Putting aside Constantine, he's not exactly a rule-abiding person either."

The two followed the bald monk deeper into the monastery until they stopped in front of a dilapidated door.

The bald monk pushed open the door and pointed to the dark room, saying, "You will stay here. I will come to wake you up for prayers tomorrow morning."

After saying that, the bald monk ignored them, turned around and hurriedly left, seemingly because it was getting late and he was anxious to return to his room.

Once the bald monk's figure disappeared around the corner of the corridor, Lin Bei gestured with his chin toward Constantine: "Go in first, there are people inside."

Constantine was taken aback: "There are people inside? Who are they, the other monks from this monastery?"

Lin Bei smiled slightly and walked into the dark room first: "Someone with the same goal as us."

Constantine looked puzzled, but still went into the room and closed the door.

Just as the door closed, a slight noise came from inside the room, and a man's wary voice said, "Who are you? You don't look like monks from this monastery."

The darkness did not affect Lin Bei's vision. He looked the man in front of him over and recognized him at a glance as Marek.

And judging from Marek's attire, which almost blends into the monastery, he has obviously been there for several days.

Lin Bei narrowed his eyes slightly, not answering Marek's question, but scrutinizing Marek instead.

According to the original plot, the demon was hidden inside Malek's body, but now it is discovered that there is no demon or evil spirit inside Malek; he is just an ordinary person.

This is a bit interesting.

Lin Bei thought that perhaps it was necessary to go through the various rituals in the original story to allow the demon to descend into Malek's body.

Malek should be a perfect shell, a shell that allows the demon to walk on earth in a legitimate way.

Lin Bei remained silent. Constantine stepped forward, arms crossed, and coldly looked down at Marek, who had just sat up in bed: "Before asking who we are, shouldn't you introduce yourself? Judging from your appearance, you don't seem like someone from this monastery. The people in this monastery all have a sinister aura, which you don't have, but..."

Constantine didn't finish his sentence.

Marek did not have a sinister aura, but he carried an aura of death.

His death is imminent.

Marek frowned and carefully examined the two strangers. Perhaps out of trust that they weren't from the monastery, or perhaps because he was just a rookie policeman, Marek pondered for a moment and said simply, "I am Marek, a... passing monk. Why did you come in? Do you know that once you enter here, you can never get out?"

Constantine frowned, briefly introduced himself and Lin Bei, and sat down opposite Marek: "What do you mean? Didn't you tell us we could leave in seven days? Why can't we get out?"

Marek clearly didn't want to say much. He only vaguely indicated that he had always wanted to leave, but he couldn't get out, and he couldn't even get close to the monastery gate.

He would always inexplicably circle back into the church just as he was about to reach the gate or the edge of the wall.

By the end, Marek's face was contorted with horror: "It's terrifying, this place is truly terrifying. The people who went missing before... I've found them all. The seven girls who disappeared from the nearby villages are hanging in the lowest room of this monastery. They're all dead! This isn't an exorcism; it's like something is being summoned!"

Before arriving, Lin Bei briefly explained the situation to Constantine. In addition, Constantine was very sensitive to the aura of demons, and he sensed something was wrong as soon as he entered the monastery.

Hearing what Marek said, he put his hands behind his head and collapsed onto the filthy bed: "Lin Bei, what are you planning to do now? Are you going to take this place down tonight? My advice is that you should do it as soon as possible, this place stinks too much."

Lin Bei moved through the darkness. Instead of lying on the filthy bed, he snapped his fingers, quietly summoning black liquid to conjure a bed out of thin air. He lay down on it and said indifferently, "What's the rush? It's only the first night. I want to see how they help those possessed by evil spirits expel the snow stalks from their bodies."

Marek had initially thought these two would be helpful, but upon hearing their words, a look of disappointment immediately appeared on his face.

As expected, no one else could be relied on; he could only rely on himself.

Fortunately, he had already found an accomplice in the monastery. He was just waiting for his accomplice to lead him out of the underground tunnel the next night so that he could expose everything that had happened here and call in reinforcements to arrest all the monks.

Marek gently touched his aching heart. For some reason, the longer he stayed here, the more uncomfortable he felt.

In the darkness, Marek quietly comforted himself, thinking that soon, as long as he escaped tomorrow and recruited more members, everything in this monastery would be resolved smoothly.

Just as Marek closed his eyes to sleep, Lin Bei opened his eyes in mid-air, looked down at Marek with a faint gaze.

He can't escape. (End of Chapter)
