Xie Jin found a big tree facing Zhao Shu's carriage, leaned against it with his arms around it and fell asleep.

Except for the flickering sound of the fire, everything around was quiet. The wind suddenly blew, and the half-asleep man opened his eyes and looked at Zhao Shu's carriage, but when he saw no movement, he closed his eyes again.

Zhao Shu's ears turned red and her eyes darted around, but she didn't look at Xie Jin.

When she could no longer see the defiled cake, she crossed her arms, closed her eyes, leaned against the carriage, and let out a comfortable sigh.

Xie Jin didn't care at all about being rejected by Zhao Shu, instead there was a smile on his face.

The carriage stopped by a river. Everyone took the water bags from the horses, went to the river, scooped up the water with both hands and drank a mouthful. After their thirst subsided, they put the water bags in the river and filled them with water.

Zhao Shu looked at the clear river and wanted to go over to wet her handkerchief and wash herself. The expected pain did not come. Zhao Shu opened her eyes and saw Xie Jin holding her arm with one hand and the other hand around her waist, while she was pressed tightly against his chest.

Zhao Shu's face suddenly turned red. She pushed Xie Jin away in panic, not daring to look at him. She turned around and walked back to the carriage. Although she walked slowly, her messy steps revealed her panic.

Xie Jin raised an eyebrow and looked at Zhao Shu's back, then looked down at his own hands, her slender waist, soft, his hands slightly clenched, behind his back, frowning as he walked towards the carriage.
