Su Han and Bi Yao stared at the direction where the demonic shadow disappeared, as if they still couldn't believe that this thrilling battle had come to an end.

Their taut nerves finally relaxed at this moment, and the two men collapsed to the ground exhausted as if all their strength was drained away.

Su Han quickly turned his head to look at Bi Yao beside him, only to see that her hair was disheveled and scattered around her cheeks.

At the corner of her mouth, there was a glaring trace of blood that had not yet dried. However, even though she looked so miserable, it could not hide the look of relief on her face for surviving the disaster.

Su Han's heart suddenly tightened, and he raised his hand, his movements so gentle that it seemed as if he was touching the most delicate petals in the world.

Slowly wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth, his voice was a little hoarse due to fatigue and tension, but full of tenderness:

"Biyao, are you okay? Can you hold on?"

Biyao shook her head gently, trying to put on a weak but reassuring smile, and said softly, "I'm fine, really.

I was able to survive this time because you kept watching over me."

After she finished speaking, her eyes met Su Han's, and there was a different light in her eyes, like the determination and dependence after experiencing life and death.

After resting for a while, Su Han forced himself to stand up slowly, stretched out his hand, and carefully helped Bi Yao up.

The two of them snuggled up to each other, taking slow and heavy steps as they slowly left the ruins ravaged by war.

The ground beneath my feet had already become bumpy and full of tragic traces of battle.

Broken stones were scattered all over the place, some of which still had charred marks from being hit by spells;
The charred grass and trees emitted a pungent smell, as if silently telling the cruelty of the fierce battle that had just taken place.

Su Han frowned slightly, his eyes full of vigilance. He stood closely in front of Bi Yao, taking every step very carefully, fearing that she would be tripped by debris on the road.

Along the way, the two of them were silent in tacit understanding, but they leaned against each other tightly, as if they could draw strength from it and enjoy the hard-earned peace. After walking out of the ruins, they saw a peaceful valley in front of them.

In the valley, the stream flows gently. The clear water sparkles under the sunlight, like countless tiny diamonds dancing.

There is a flat meadow beside the stream, covered with green grass, as if it is a soft carpet specially laid by nature.

Su Han supported Bi Yao and slowly sat down on the grass.

Biyao sighed softly, leaned back on the grass, closed her eyes, and enjoyed the moment of tranquility.

Su Han turned and walked towards the stream. He squatted down and slowly immersed his hands in the water. The cool stream water instantly dispelled the heat in his palms.

He scooped up a handful of water and splashed it on his face, washing away the dust and fatigue, and also trying to wash away the remaining fear and tension in his heart.

Afterwards, he came back with some more water, walked to Bi Yao, squatted down, and moved gently as if she was the most precious treasure in the world.

He gently wiped Biyao's wound with a wet cloth, being very careful with each stroke, for fear of hurting her.

Bi Yao looked at Su Han's focused expression, her heart filled with sweetness, and her cheeks unconsciously flushed slightly.

She reached out and gently held Su Han's hand, and said, "Su Han, you are also exhausted. Don't just care about me, take a break yourself."

Su Han raised his head, looked at Bi Yao, smiled and said, "I'm not tired, as long as you are okay."

After cleaning up, Su Han dusted himself off, stood up, and began looking around for materials to build a temporary shelter.

He walked into the nearby woods, searching carefully among them. (End of this chapter)
