Chapter 1 I'm a fucking brown bear!!

Guo Mi didn't know how long she had slept.

In a daze, it felt like I was in a car, or like I was weightless and on an airplane, and finally I swayed and boarded a boat.

Someone seemed to be smoking nearby; the strong smell of cigars filled her nostrils and made Guo Mi a little more alert. She could vaguely hear some news broadcasts:

"Next news item:"

"It is understood that the Lin Group has completed the acquisition of Guangkou Zoo and discovered that the zoo's internal accounts were chaotic, its management was non-compliant, and many of the animals were illegally captured and were 'unregistered' without the relevant permits!"

After venting her pent-up emotions, Guo Mi took a deep breath. The cold air rushed into her chest through her nostrils, bringing a slight, cutting pain.

She forced herself to calm down in this way in order to face the unknown future ahead:
"Life and death are both equally awful, so just get up and get to work!"

She kept muttering to herself, but she knew in her heart that she absolutely could not sit idly by and wait to die. In order to resist the extreme cold and snow of the Arctic, she had to store up a thick layer of fat to prepare for those biting cold winds.

She looked around, trying to find something to eat, but to little avail. Apart from the thick ice and snow, it seemed that she was the only living thing left in the world.

The sound of bear paws stomping on the snow seemed amplified several times over, filling the air with a desolate and lonely atmosphere.

Guo Mi had to stop her aimless search, sit down, raise her forelegs, and try to increase her field of vision to observe her surroundings:
She is now at the foot of the snow-capped mountain. Fortunately, the knowledge she once had can still help her to some extent.

Guo Mi lowered her raised forelimbs and lowered her head in deep thought.

It's only early spring now, and the weather has been quite hot this year. The lake and some areas near the sea should have already thawed.

So she began to stagger towards the edge of the snow-capped mountains, trying to find a lake that wasn't completely frozen, where she might be able to find food.

However, instead of finding the lake, they found a carcass—the carcass of a polar bear.

Upon seeing the corpse, Guo Mi's fur stood on end. Her already round body became even more like a fur ball, and her heavy body suddenly jumped backward!
It took him two seconds to come to his senses, and with his heart pounding, he leaned closer to examine the corpse carefully.

Judging from its size, it should be a female bear. Its body was covered with claw marks, and the fur on its belly was torn in several places. Its eyes were wide open and bloodshot.

There was a huge gash next to his neck, with his trachea and muscles all bitten off; this should have been the fatal wound.

Around the body, there were two rows of small bear footprints and one row of large bear footprints.

Those were male bear footprints! A chill ran down Guo Mi's spine—

Many animals in nature can kill each other, and bears are among the best at fighting each other!

When she first transformed into a bear, although she was only a female bear, she was very large and strong. In addition, being human, she used both her hands and feet when fighting.

So although she sometimes clashes with the brown bears around her, she always wins.

The bears in the zoo were thin and small due to years of hunger. She could swat two away with one swipe of her paw, and quickly established herself as the "King of Bears." She had never been harmed by her own kind; on the contrary, she often whipped them until they howled.

But polar bears... if she remembers correctly, many male polar bears seem to be twice the size of females!
They have an absolute advantage in physique, which cannot be compensated for by any skill!

However, male bears usually only kill cubs and do not attack female bears. So why was this female bear killed by the male bear?

Just then, Guo Mi's stomach suddenly growled with hunger, and an idea struck her.

Putting everything else aside, isn't there a ready-made feast right in front of us to fill our hunger?

Although it's unknown how long the mother bear has been dead, there was no strange smell emanating from it. Given the cold Arctic weather, it shouldn't have spoiled.

Such a large corpse is enough to feed Guo Mi for the next three days!

But... it's a bear too, does she really want to eat it?
Guo Mi began to hesitate again, her mind in turmoil.

She's not a polar bear at all; without a full stomach and enough fat, it would be even harder for her to withstand the cold winds.

Not to mention there might be male bears nearby that could attack the mother bear; if she's hungry, she won't even have the strength to run.

This is a mother bear with cubs.

The main reason for conflict between male bears and female bears with cubs is simply that the male bear wants to kill the cub.

This is a mother bear who was killed while protecting her cubs.

Before she could think further, she suddenly heard the sound of snow being trampled and collapsing behind her. Guo Mi turned around abruptly:
From behind the snowdrift that arched up behind her, another polar bear slowly emerged!

Its body was as tall as a mountain, with flowing white fur, brown pupils, and powerful claws...

It was a male bear!
