Chapter 15 Strange Names
As soon as she finished speaking, the two bear cubs sat up straight, their ears twitching, as if they couldn't believe what they had just heard.

Seeing their hesitation, Guo Mi called out again:
"come here."

The two little furballs were now sure they hadn't misheard. They quickly stood up and took two steps forward, but then stopped and looked at Guo Mi tentatively.

Only after confirming that she hadn't changed her mind did he jog over.

Guo Mi waited for the two little bears to feast, but suddenly felt a warmth at her feet. She then realized that the two little creatures hadn't touched the fish at all; they had simply run to her side, their fluffy little bodies pressed tightly against her, affectionate and natural.

The little male bear rubbed its head against Guo Mi's paws repeatedly, its little ears twitching up and down, looking very happy.

Guo Mi felt her "cool" bear persona was about to crumble, so she quickly pulled out two large fish from the pile, cleared her throat, and said succinctly:

"eat."

The two little bears' eyes lit up instantly, their tiny eyes filled with disbelief, as if their gaze alone could convey three words:
"Is it true?"

Guo Mi couldn't help but raise her head slightly, extending her paw to nudge the two fish forward a little, appearing very aloof:
"eat."

The two bear cubs cheered and pounced on the fish in front of them, pressing the fish's body down with their little paws and swallowing it in big gulps.

Soon the white fur on their faces was stained red, but the two little guys clearly didn't care; all they could see was the delicious meal that Guo Mi had given them.

A smile appeared in Guo Mi's eyes, and she lay down beside him, pulling out another fish from the pile and enjoying it.

Caesar watched as the three bears below gathered together to share a delicious meal. Putting aside the strange appearance of the round-faced bear, they really did look just like an ordinary polar bear mother with her cubs.

Bears have a huge appetite, and in no time the pile of fish that had "stood" up was completely devoured by the three bears.

The little bear was still licking the remaining fish skeleton with lingering affection, as if it wanted to lick off a little more flesh from the bare bones.

Guo Mi knew they weren't full, because she wasn't full either.

Thirty fish piled together looked like a lot, but in reality, it wasn't enough to fill the three bear's stomach.

However, she did not regret sharing the fish with the two bear cubs.

The little female bear sat beside Guo Mi, her tone very solemn:

"Thank you."

The two bear cubs now completely trust Guo Mi, looking at her with affection and dependence.

Guo Mi lay lazily on the snow, looking at the two bear cubs, when suddenly something occurred to her, and a mischievous smile appeared in her eyes...

"Push harder, step to the left!"

"Yes, yes, that's it!"

At dusk, by the frozen lake, Guo Mi lay comfortably in the snow, directing two bear cubs beside her to do their work.

Two bear cubs stood upright on either side of her, following her instructions to stomp on Guo Mi's body with their front paws, and occasionally had to move to the side as she commanded.

Guo Mi felt better now, exhaling a puff of white mist from her nose and humming softly with her eyes closed.

Hmph, she certainly didn't eat fish for nothing!
This time, her "cool" bear persona has been saved!

Although the two little bears didn't know what Guo Mi meant by asking them to do this, they were obedient and followed her instructions after eating her fish, pressing the buttons with great enthusiasm in an effort to satisfy Guo Mi!

Guo Mi was indeed very satisfied. When she heard the two little bears start to pant heavily, she felt it was about time and told them to stop.

Sister Bear placed her fluffy little paws on Guo Mi's paws and said earnestly:

"We can do other things for you too, anything we can do, we'll do!"

The little bear sat next to his sister, looking very serious. Guo Mi looked at the sunset on the horizon; the fiery red sun had also dyed the snow around her red, reflecting the glow of the sunset.

The Arctic is mostly open and cold, and most of the time, people there feel nothing but loneliness and helplessness.

For people, this place is filled with desolation and loneliness.

A certain string in her heart finally loosened. After struggling for a moment, Guo Mi finally decided to follow her heart.

She sat up, lowered her head, and for the first time looked at the two bear cubs beside her with a solemn and serious expression, and asked softly:
"What are your names?"

The two bear cubs were stunned for a moment, then realized something, and their breathing became a little heavy. But they were afraid that they had guessed wrong, and they looked at Guo Mi with longing and trepidation.

Looking at them, Guo Mi couldn't help but soften her heart again. A gentle breeze blew past her ear tips, and her round ears trembled slightly as she waited patiently.

It took the two little bears a while to calm down, trying hard to suppress their excitement. The older bear was the first to answer:
"I, my name is Da Bai, and my younger brother's name is Er Bai."

Guo Mi was stunned:

Such a simple name?

The little female bear tilted her head in confusion:
"So that's what little bears are called? Mom said they'll have to wait until they grow up and then choose their own names."

So that's how it is. Polar bears are actually quite human-like in this respect?

Guo Mi muttered a couple of things to herself, then looked at the two little bears:
"So...do you have a name you like?"

A look of confusion crossed the little female bear's eyes, and she honestly replied:
"No."

She looked around, her gaze settling on the remaining fish bones in the snow, her eyes shining brightly.
"I like eating this fish!"

Guo Mi was stunned. She liked to eat this fish?!

Does this mean we'll have to call it fish or fish bones from now on? That's so strange.

She looked at the remaining fish carcasses on the ground, and unfortunately, she couldn't tell what kind of fish it was, but she thought of another kind of fish.

So she said to the little bear:
"Or, you could call yourself a salmon!"

The little bear looked even more confused:
"Salmon?" What kind of fish is that?

Guo Mi hummed in agreement and explained:
"Salmon has a high fat content, and polar bear cubs should also store up thick layers of fat like this, so they won't get cold in winter, their injuries won't be too serious, and most importantly, they can survive for a long time if they go hungry!"

Guo Mi felt more and more that the name "Salmon" was really great, as it not only satisfied the little bear's hobby but also had such a wonderful meaning!

The little female bear lowered her head and thought for a moment, then, feeling quite satisfied, replied:

"Then I'll call myself Salmon!"

Then I hesitated a bit:
"But Mom said that I can only choose my own name when I grow up..."

Guo Mi disagreed:

"It's okay. You're all grown up now. Sometimes growing up doesn't mean physical growth, but rather an increase in experience."

“…Okay.” Although he didn’t understand most of it, the salmon still accepted the name that Guo Mi had provided.

The little male bear next to him looked conflicted. For some reason, he felt that the name "salmon" was really strange.

But the satisfied expressions of the other two bears made him start to doubt himself. Was he the one who was strange?

After naming the bear sister, Guo Mi looked at the little male bear:
What kind of name do you like?
