Chapter 44

Guo Mi paused for two seconds, then her eyes revealed a hint of speechlessness.

In his desperation, Caesar looked at her with a hint of pleading in his eyes for the first time, urging her in a low voice:

"Say it quickly."

Guo Mi raised her head, coldly revealing the reality:

"It's no use. Even if I told him there's no bear named Caesar here, he could still smell it."

She looked at the stiff male bear with a hint of schadenfreude in her eyes!
Serves him right. He used his keen sense of smell to follow her and threaten her. Now he can experience what she felt back then!

The male bear that suddenly appeared on the snow slope roared again:
"Caesar?"

He then ran two steps forward and suddenly stopped, using his weight and the soft snow to slide down the snow slope!

Just as they were about to approach Guo Mi, the bear was already on high alert. Its threatening growl forced the strange male bear to stop, staring longingly at Caesar's retreating figure.

Caesar thought Guo Mi was helping him; his eyes flickered with emotion as he looked at her, as if to say:
I didn't expect you to care about me this much?
Guo Mi couldn't help but roll her eyes.

Stop being so presumptuous. If it weren't for the little bear cub, she would have stepped aside long ago!
Although the relationship between this strange male bear and Caesar is unknown, judging from Caesar's state, he definitely doesn't want to see this strange male bear right now.

Guo Mi felt a little regretful; it was a pity she couldn't see Caesar suffer a setback in person.

Little did she know that in the two days Caesar had been by her side, he had already suffered every kind of setback he could ever hope to endure in his life, and now he was facing the crisis of his image collapsing in front of his brother.

Slok wanted to get closer, but he dared not approach due to pressure from Guo Mi.

He could only stand there, stretching his neck and moving his nose up and down, sniffing hard to confirm.

Although the scent kept telling him that the male bear in front of him with its back to him was Caesar.

But Slok still couldn't believe that the bear he had just seen rolling around on the ground throwing a tantrum and then rubbing its face back after being hit was his brother!
The male bear's heavy breathing and sniffing sounds were unusually clear. Guo Mi watched thoughtfully as Caesar's back straightened more and more!

After a moment, a wicked smile suddenly appeared in her eyes. Under Caesar's "horrified" gaze, she withdrew her attack stance, slowly walked to the side, and loudly proclaimed:
"Caesar, it seems they've come looking for you!"

Upon hearing this, Caesar collapsed, and Slok, after his initial shock, also collapsed!

Suddenly, a male bear appeared, its limbs moving in a comically disjointed manner, and ran up to Caesar.
"Really you?!"

Caesar kept his head down and didn't answer him, but his back turned to Slok again in a flash!

He looked Guo Mi up and down as if he were seeing her for the first time.

Guo Mi, sitting beside him, raised her chin, leisurely enjoying the shocked look on the male bear's face, and casually returned his gaze:
Don't be surprised, I really am that vicious. You're welcome!

A bear that is inherently a bit slow or simple-minded is unable to perceive another bear's rejection.

Just as Slok couldn't understand Caesar's evasive maneuvers, every time Caesar turned his body, he would run after him, eventually returning to Caesar's side, determined to make his brother look him directly in the eye.

After repeating this several times, Caesar, thoroughly annoyed, finally lost his temper and yelled at his clueless and foolish younger brother!
Years of experience in reading people's expressions made Slok's legs go weak in his habit, and he skillfully rolled to the side, exposing his white belly with his limbs facing up, and then pressed his bear head against Caesar's leg!
Such a rapid act of begging for mercy could not have been mastered without hundreds of rehearsals!

For a moment, not only Caesar fell silent, but even Guo Mi beside him fell silent.

Guo Mi couldn't bear to look at it and looked away, thinking to herself that she had overestimated this strange male bear. She had originally thought it could cause Caesar some trouble!
Caesar's eyes twitched twice. Looking at Slok's pathetic state, he gritted his teeth and said:
"stand up."

Slok rolled twice on the ground, stubbornly refusing to budge:
"You can't hit me. If you don't hit me, I'll get up."

Caesar's temper finally snapped, and he unleashed a "War Stomp," stomping twice on Slok's soft belly with his thick bear paws before finally lifting the bear off the ground with two swipes!

Slok was so frightened that he immediately grabbed Caesar's paw and wouldn't let go. Caesar had plenty of ways to deal with him, so he bit him on the neck!
White fur flying everywhere!

The next second, Slok was so frightened that he released his claws and retreated, looking at Caesar with eyes full of terror.

This was the first time Guo Mi had ever seen male bears fight, or more accurately, it was Caesar's one-sided violence. To be honest, it wasn't a very pleasant experience.

She could tell that Caesar didn't intend to kill the male bear, but the neck is a fatal spot for both humans and animals, and the bite he had just taken was quite severe; there was still a possibility of death if she wasn't careful.

If one day Caesar's teeth really touched the back of her neck, Guo Mi thought, that would be the moment when she could truly bite hysterically.

On the other side, Slok was also trembling with fear at Caesar's presence.

Caesar was annoyed by his appearance and growled:
"Look at yourself! Are you really going to be bitten to death and not even put up a fight, just waiting to die?"

Slok lowered his head in grievance and muttered softly:

"You're not really going to bite me to death. Besides, didn't you do the same thing just now?"

Caesar's pupils narrowed sharply, and he shouted:
"What did you say?"

Slok felt a surge of resentment welling up inside him, and in a moment of impulsiveness, he stopped dodging and shouted at Caesar:
"I'm telling you, you're the same. I just saw it. That bear over there hit you, and you didn't even talk back. In fact, you were rolling around on the ground!"

"If you can do it, why can't I!"

Caesar's mind went blank for a second, as if struck by a bolt from the blue!

All my head is:
He saw it, he really saw it...

Ugh, what do we do? Do we really have to kill the bear to silence him?! He won't tell anyone what he saw, will he?!
Meanwhile, Slok's accusations continue:
"Why are you hiding from me? Do you know how long I've been looking for you? I've been looking for you for so long, and you're with another bear!"

"I finally saw you, why did you bite me?!"

Guo Mi sat there watching the spectacle with great interest, completely unaware that she was part of the spectacle.

Slok started babbling on and on. Caesar, already mortified that Slok had seen a side of him he never knew, was now completely out of his mind listening to him. He let out a cold laugh:
"Don't you know why I'm avoiding you?"

The raging bear paused, its tearful eyes staring blankly at Caesar, who looked at it with utter indifference and said:
"Slok, you're a grown bear now. You're no longer a cub or a baby. You have to leave your mother, leave me, and live on your own!"

"You can only rely on yourself, not follow me around every day and rely on me to protect you!"

Slok froze, looking at Caesar with a heartbroken expression, as if he never expected him to say such cold words, and said with tears in his eyes:

"Are you going to abandon me like Mom did?"

Caesar turned his head away in annoyance:

"First of all, leaving your mother was your own choice. Your mother didn't abandon you, but you forced her to leave this snowy land. Secondly, I just happened to be born in the same litter as you as a polar bear. I have no obligation to take care of you, let alone abandon you!"

Saying this is somewhat hurtful to the bear.

Guo Mi never expected that this strange male bear was actually Caesar's brother!
She knew that polar bears didn't have such strong kinship ties; some polar bears from the same litter would even go their separate ways after reaching adulthood and never see each other again.

I never expected Caesar would have a brother like that.

Although Caesar's words during the argument were quite harsh, Guo Mi could still clearly sense that the two brothers had a very close relationship, which was definitely different from other normal polar bear brothers.

But since such harsh words were said, these two bear brothers will probably have a long-lasting falling out, right?
Guo Mi was filled with admiration when she saw the male bear named "Slok" charge towards Caesar!

There was no scene of the two bears enraged and fighting to the death as I had imagined. The male bear in my sight simply slid away, and then—

They clung tightly to Caesar's claws!

Slok buried his head under Caesar's belly and shouted:

"I don't care, I'm going to stick to you, I'm going to follow you, or else you can bite me to death, I will never leave you!"
