Chapter 50

Guo Mi suddenly turned around and glared at Caesar, her eyes silently questioning him: Why is Slok still here?

Caesar looked embarrassed and looked away.

Slok, completely oblivious to his unpopularity, trotted over with light steps, first nuzzling Caesar ingratiatingly, then taking the initiative to greet Guo Mi:

"Hey hey, good morning."

Guo Mi took two steps back, and the little bear huddled behind her legs.

Slok froze for a moment, then suddenly said generously:

"You're right, maybe I really am a spineless bear. When I was little, I was like..."

He craned his neck to look behind Guo Mi, trying to recall the name of the timid little bear cub, but unfortunately he couldn't remember. He could only say:

For an adult bear, being able to rely on its brothers is like a dream come true, and Slok is very content.

Slok chuckled twice:
"Then you must protect him well."

The conversation between the two bears, one large and one small, was so natural that they ignored the survival laws of polar bears, as if the two cubs would live together for life. Guo Mi didn't know if this was right or wrong.

The salmon and fish bones are the miraculously surviving bear cubs who have lost their mother and depend on each other for survival.

People always say they want to break the rules and live according to their own desires; perhaps bears feel the same way.

After this conversation, the two bear cubs became much closer to Slok, and they would talk to him when Guo Mi was with them.

Slok, who was good at reading people, realized that even though Caesar was the strongest bear by the lake, he still knew that Guo Mi's permission was required for him to stay.

He didn't have the guts to threaten Gomi like Caesar did, so he ended up setting his sights on the little bear.

Although Slok is a "good-for-nothing" male bear, Fishbone seems quite interested in him and has even stepped out from behind Gomi to sit next to the salmon and listen to his stories.

Guo Mi listened from the side, and when she heard Slok say, "I climbed to the highest point of the snow mountain and watched the sunrise there," she couldn't help but roll her eyes.

The mountain walls were steep, and with the added layer of snow, it was very difficult for the male bear to climb up.

Especially for a well-fed and robust male bear like Slok, it is even more difficult.

The two bear cubs looked at him with starry eyes. Slok sat there with his head held high, enjoying the envious gazes of the two little ones.

"Of course!"

"Alright, you've finished your task for today. Go away."

Slok instantly stopped being terrified, lay down on the ground, closed his eyes, and remained motionless.

Guo Mi stared at him for a long time before saying in an annoyed tone:
"The fish are on the shore."

The male bear instantly got up from the ground, shook its fur, and walked happily toward the shore.

On the shore, three fish, already stunned, lay quietly.

Slok lay on the lakeside, contentedly enjoying his reward.

These three fish would be nothing to an ordinary male bear, barely enough to fill its teeth, but for the gluttonous Slok, it was the perfect reward!

Guo Mi watched him eat with relish and thought to herself that he was no different from a bear cub.

After returning the two bear cubs to the back of the snow hill, she came back to the lake, swallowed hard, gently lowered her paws, and then slowly sank into the water.

The lake water is no longer as cold as it used to be, and Guo Mi was able to adapt completely after a short while.

She recalled the movements the summer had taught her, tried to maintain her balance, and used her front paws to propel herself forward.

Suddenly, she heard a soft splashing sound again. The water around Guo Mi was disturbed, and a huge creature moved closer to her with the current.

Caesar was forbidden from touching the bear cub and could only watch from a distance.
