Red Dragon has magic
Chapter 488 I Am God
Chapter 488 I Am God
Leon first went to visit the forest where he used to live. He quite liked the nest located halfway up the mountain. Then he flew to the Blackridge Mountains and returned to the place where he hatched. Nearly a hundred years had passed and the place was still the same. He took a bath in the little river where he used to look for crabs and snails.
The Blackridge Mountains are adjacent to the Empire, but Lyon has no intention of going to the Empire. That aging Empire is the target of Sharon, who will inherit the Kingdom of Cinnabar and become queen in the future. With just a thought, a rainbow appeared in the desolate universe and entered the Star Sea from the boundary of the desolate universe.
Lyon had been following the protracted war between Vairakis and the Comet Prince, and took the opportunity to visit Tunaras.
Although Tunaras was under martial law, it was no problem for him... Due to the war, there were hardly any interdimensional merchants in Tunaras. A significant portion of the original hundreds of thousands of Githyanki had left, and the people were filled with anxiety.
Vairakis is stronger than Prince Comet, but unlike Prince Comet, she did not inherit the ability to shield psionic energy from the Geths. Without this powerful weapon against mind flayers, her legitimacy is questionable. In addition, Prince Comet has the support of the Gethszerai, so the final outcome is not optimistic.
However, for Lyon, it didn't matter who won or lost between Vairakis and the Comet Prince; neither was as important as his journey.
Driven by curiosity and longing for the unknown, Lyon traveled to the Chaos Sea through the dark, colorful pool.
The Chaos Sea is a purely chaotic plane, a turbulent soup of unstable matter and energy. Stones melt into water, then freeze into metal, then become diamonds, then burn into smoke and become snow, endlessly undergoing unpredictable changes.
The Chaos Sea has no gravity, so all creatures on this plane are suspended in place and can move in any direction by imagining the direction they are going.
In addition, the Chaos Sea adapts to the will of its inhabitants. A disciplined and powerful will can create an entire self-created island within a plane, and even live in such a place for years. Creatures with simple consciousness, however, may not last a minute before disappearing or turning into glass.
Leon, having left the Chaos Sea, recalled his trip to the Scorching Hell.
The Scorching Hell is a plane devoid of mercy, tolerance, and compassion; it is the birthplace of Yoggros.
The Scorching Hell has four levels, each ruled by a separate volcano: the Crimson Mountains, the Blazing Mountains, the Ash Mountains, and the Silent Mountains. Almost everywhere there is a slope of at least 45 degrees.
The Crimson Mountains are the first and lowest level of the Scorching Hell. The air there is dark red due to lava and volcanic ash close to the ground, but quickly turns black at a lower altitude.
Leon found a bustling market next to the Palace of Tears, an ultimate black market where all sorts of goods were bought and sold at will, dazzling the eye. He spent a Soul Coin to inquire with the Night Witch about information on the Shackled Demon General Malahix.
Because of the Variants card, Malahix harbored a deep hatred for Thasther and once plotted against her. In theory, Leon should have dealt with it long ago, but it lived in the Scorching Hell and was quite troublesome, so he had not taken any action.
Now that he had nothing better to do, Leon decided to settle that old grudge.
Malachix has no fixed lair; its lair is its chief chariot—the Unborn Carriage. The Unborn Carriage is a worm-like behemoth, a shrill masterpiece composed of hundreds of tireless Mycelia.
When Leon found Malahix on a scorched earth where molten lava and twisted rocks intertwined, it was sitting on its unfinished palanquin, intently working on creating cursed magical items.
Malahix's favorite thing to do is to cast the magical cursed objects he creates into the material plane, gleefully watching unsuspecting mortals suffer terribly at the hands of those cursed magical objects, and then, when he gets tired of it, teleport back to the mortals to retrieve his treasures and, incidentally, kill those comical mortals.
“Long time no see.” Leon greeted Malahix from his seat on the steep rock.
Malahix was engrossed in his "creation" when he heard the sound. He abruptly looked up, one hand gripping his forging hammer tightly, the other brandishing a whip, but he didn't stand up from the novice demon palanquin. He asked warily, "Who are you?"
"Leon." Leon uttered two words calmly.
Malahix had been keeping an eye on the Blue Dragon, so he naturally knew of Lyon's reputation.
It was extremely cunning and possessed astonishing wisdom. More like a night hag than a Yoggros demon, it wanted to buy time to escape using teleportation, but knew very well that this idea was unlikely to succeed. It said:
"Why are you, a great dragon god, arguing with a little Yogross demon like me? It happened so many years ago, why are you still holding a grudge? You have no magnanimity whatsoever that a dragon god should have."
"When you schemed against us before, why didn't you think that fortunes change every thirty years, and one should never underestimate a young man's potential?" Before he finished speaking, Leon moved, reverting to his dragon form. He flapped his wings and unleashed a divine wind that shattered Malahix's nascent demonic palanquin. Then he hurled his divine sword.
Malahix has a challenge level of 18, making him an absolute overlord, a cruel and powerful tyrant, but he's nothing in front of Leon and can't even last a minute.
This is like playing a game until the very end, and then suddenly remembering that there are still side quests you haven't done. The enemies that were supposed to be challenging become like clay chickens and earthenware dogs, and for a moment you feel a bit bored and uninteresting.
Only heaven knows how wronged Malahix was. It never intended to provoke the blue dragon, but inexplicably it did. And then, beside the blue dragon was a terrifying red dragon. Every time news of the red dragon's deeds reached its ears, it couldn't sleep peacefully. Decades passed, and it thought the dragon would forget it, but given the red dragon's vengeful nature, that was impossible. Leon quickly finished collecting his spoils and turned to the Creeping City, a massive metropolis made of obsidian and volcanic ash, moving on its thousands of fire-immune legs at the bottom, clinging to the steep slopes of the scorching hell, and slowly crossing wide lava rivers.
Leaving the scorching hell, Lyon went to a paradise called Arcadia, with neatly arranged trees, straight streams, orderly fields, perfect roads, and cities arranged in geometric shapes. Even the eroded mountains remained perfect, all for the sake of a shared beauty and perfect existence.
If it were the Lyon before he traveled through time, he would definitely like it there. But now, as a red dragon, Lyon isn't too interested in the peaceful and serene scenery.
The Garden of Beasts is an untamed, natural plane. In its dense jungles, branches intertwine intricately. On its vast plains, grains and wildflowers sway vibrantly in the wind. The entire plane embodies the wildness and beauty of nature, and represents all animals.
The Wilderness is a land of violent emotions and intense feelings, emotions that are even more important than life itself. People are sustained by stubborn impulses and burning passions until they burn themselves out.
Leon traveled to several planes, each with its own unique scenery and charm, but he still preferred the material plane, and couldn't help but sigh that people don't know how best to stay at home if they don't go out and explore.
Lyon returned to the material plane and this time planned to visit the Empire. He walked around several major cities in the Empire and was sitting on an unnamed slope enjoying the breeze. The towering trees overhead provided ample shade, and without supporting himself on the rocks behind him and leaning back, he couldn't see the treetops at all.
An adventurer caught Lyon's eye. The clumsy fellow was admiring the scenery by the bridge when he accidentally dropped the sword from his waist into the river. He stood on the riverbank, anxiously looking around.
Seeing this, Lyon blinked, a mischievous urge suddenly rising in his heart. He flew to the riverbank, stood on the water with his feet, and asked, "Young man, why are you crying?"
The adventurer was startled by the sudden voice, jerked his head up, his eyes filled with wariness, and shouted, "Who are you?"
“I am the River God.” Leon waved his hand lightly, producing an extraordinary sword that gleamed coldly in the sunlight. “Is this the sword you just lost?”
The adventurer was quite honest. He examined the sword carefully, shook his head firmly, and said, "This is not the sword I just lost."
Lyon chuckled inwardly, then pulled out a rare sword. Crafted from rare refined gold, it was exquisitely designed, with a dazzling gem inlaid on its blade, radiating a captivating light. He asked, "And what about this sword?"
"Not exactly," the adventurer waved his hand.
“This last sword must be the one you just lost.” Leon deliberately dragged out his words, beckoned, and retrieved the sword the adventurer had just dropped. The sword was tattered and broken, with nicks and chips all over its blade.
The adventurer recognized it at a glance; it was the very sword he had lost. He exclaimed excitedly, "Thank you, River God! This is the sword I lost!"
Looking at the expectant adventurer before him, Leon sheathed his three swords and said slowly, "I was just asking you a question. Anything that fell into the river is mine. Be more careful next time; a mature adult must learn to take responsibility for their mistakes."
“There has never been a savior, nor do we rely on gods or emperors. To create human happiness, we must rely entirely on ourselves,” Lyon continued.
After saying that, Leon could no longer hold back and burst into laughter. Then, in a flash, he disappeared without a trace, leaving the adventurer standing on the riverbank, looking on in astonishment.
Lyon wandered aimlessly, going wherever the road took him, playing wherever he pleased. In a good mood, he would rescue adventurers attacked by ogres; because he had eaten terrible food, he would stand by and watch villagers being devoured by wolves; out of sheer boredom, he would wipe out the entire family of a landowner who had oppressed his tenant farmers, and then leave triumphantly…
After experiencing all of this, Leon, who was sleeping on the grassy slope, suddenly had an epiphany.
He has no priesthood, and may have a few followers, but he cannot bestow divine magic upon priests like other gods. However, he has mastered so many supernatural powers and spells, including the Eight-Nine Arcane Arts and the Law of Heaven and Earth. He is extraordinary, transcends the mortal world, is immortal, and is free. What else could he be but a god?
The lack of cheat codes isn't his problem, it's the cheat codes' problem.
If there's no cheat code reward, then there's no cheat code reward. It doesn't matter if others don't acknowledge him as the Dragon God, as long as he does. Anyway, he's already achieved the transcendence he wanted and become a carefree immortal.
Fate is truly cruel; it never comes when it should, and now it has. The familiar ding-dong sound rang out at this moment.
Lyon wasn't busy looking at his cheat reward; he had more important things to do, like watching the frog race. "I'll bet a copper coin," he thought, "you're the frog chosen by the Dragon God, you have to win."
I wonder what kind of cheat reward he'll get. He'll definitely be very strong, but it's not impossible that he'll be weak.
