Honghuang: Senior Brother of the Chan Sect, I am Guangchengzi

Chapter 45: Two Merits of Zhunti's Words

Chapter 45: Two Merits of Zhunti's Words
It’s a pity that success and failure are the same.

The West suffered a great catastrophe of destruction. Most of the blessed places might be able to rely on their own status to barely maintain peace and tranquility and lock the earth veins.

However, because this sacred mountain was too deeply connected with the Western ancestral veins, not only did it fail to lock itself in, but it was dragged down by it. It almost collapsed and had to repay the heaven and earth.

And on this sacred mountain, at the top, there are two divine lights rising into the sky. The one on the left is like a towering tree with green leaves and lush branches, carrying the breath of supreme wisdom that awakens all living beings.

The divine light on the right is like a green bamboo reaching the sky, with no tattoos except six bamboo leaves growing on the top, which represent quiet, tranquil, peaceful, calm, stillness and serenity, representing the six states of tranquility between heaven and earth.

It was precisely because of the suppression of these two divine lights that this sacred mountain remained intact and did not collapse directly into nothingness.

Guangchengzi looked surprised and naturally guessed that this sacred mountain was the legendary Mount Sumeru.

If nothing unexpected happens, Mount Xumi, located on the ancestral vein of the West, should be the third sacred mountain in the prehistoric world, second only to Mount Buzhou and Mount Kunlun. It's a pity that Mount Xumi is now in ruins and does not have the aura that a third sacred mountain should have.

Zhunti also smiled bitterly, without hiding too much, and said frankly: "This Mount Xumi is where Brother Jieyin and I were born. But to be honest, we two are just latecomers. This Mount Xumi once gave birth to a great god that the prehistoric world will never forget. Do you know who it is?"

Guang Chengzi was silent for a moment, then sighed and said, "Demon Ancestor Luohou."

Zhunti also sighed and shook his head, saying, "If Brother Jieyin and I hadn't been born with a shield of heavenly secrets, I'm afraid we would have been used to sacrifice to refine the Immortal Execution Sword Formation. I was lucky to escape with my life, so I'm thinking of giving back to heaven and earth."

At this point, he suddenly smiled and said, "Forget it, these things are in the past. As long as we are alive, we must always look forward. Junior Brother Guangchengzi, you can follow me up the mountain."

Then Zhunti waved his sleeves, a seven-colored divine light flashed, and Guangchengzi was instantly sucked into it, without any ability to fight back. Even the Yin-Yang Diagram and the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler were powerless to protect their master.

Just from this attack, we can see how profound Zhunti's magical powers are and how boundless her Taoism is. I'm afraid she is about to break through the shackles of the Daluo realm and reach another unimaginable level.

That is the same level of realm as great gods such as Zulong, Yuanfeng, Shiqilin, Yinyang Patriarch, Qiankun Patriarch and so on.

Although Zhunti is far inferior to these ancestors who have existed since the beginning of the world, the two can still call each other fellow Taoists simply because they are of the same class.

This shows that magic weapons are not omnipotent. If the gap between the two is not big, even the strongest magic weapon can be refined by someone. Otherwise, the world would have long been dominated by those few innate treasures. How could these great gods have had room to grow?
However, Guangchengzi did not have to wait too long this time. He just entered Zhunti's sleeve and was released the next moment.

It was not until I stepped onto Mount Sumeru that I realized the differences between this sacred mountain and Mount Kunlun.

Guangchengzi could feel a gentle force caressing his body at all times, repairing the hidden injuries caused by training. There was also a mysterious Taoist rhythm spontaneously emerging, helping him to comprehend more about the yin and yang.

Just by standing here for a while, Guangchengzi gained such benefits, which was no less than the broad-mindedness he gained when he stood on Mount Kunlun and overlooked the vast scenery of the ancient world.

Kunlun Mountain is magnificent and majestic. Even the humblest creature, as long as he stands on the top of Kunlun Mountain and looks down, will be filled with the countless colorful scenes, understand the sacredness that comes from eternity, and he will become noble.

But Mount Sumeru nourishes all living beings all the time, just like sleeping in the arms of a mother. It can be said that one can become stronger even just lying down.

Zhunti stood beside him, and the expression on his face was obviously much more relaxed. With a little effort, a thousand golden wheels of merit appeared behind him again, and thousands of golden lights swept across. A hazy aura spread across the sky and earth, and rolling dark yellow energy gushed down like a waterfall, instantly illuminating the place with a golden color. All evil spirits were frightened and all demons retreated.

Then, Zhunti did something that shocked Guangchengzi. Zhunti smiled, but her hands did not slow down, and she resolutely dispersed all the golden wheels of merit into Mount Xumi.

Thousands of golden wheels of merit flew out at the same time, like a thousand suns shining in the sky, but what flowed downwards was not sunlight, but extremely precious golden light of merit.

In the past, countless cultivators prayed day and night for even a ray of golden light of merit but could not obtain it. But now, it is like the river on the roadside or the big river in the mountains, which can be seen everywhere and is within reach.

As these golden lights of merit spread, countless spiritual energies evolved spontaneously, and the extremely dilapidated earth veins under Mount Sumeru also became a little more fulfilled.

It was not until the last golden wheel of merit dissipated that Zhunti, who had been silently maintaining his magic power, breathed a sigh of relief. He turned back and smiled at Guangchengzi, "Well, Brother Jieyin hasn't come back yet, so you can follow me to the Wheel Palace and listen to my talk about the great way of Nirvana."

Guang Chengzi came back to his senses at this time and asked hurriedly: "May I ask Uncle Zhunti, why do you want to disperse those golden wheels of merit? These are invaluable merits."

Zhunti smiled faintly upon hearing this and asked, "Why is merit so precious?"

Guang Chengzi was stunned. What kind of question was this? Merit is precious because it is rare, and it is also of great help to monks, so it is precious.

Zhunti smiled and said, "There are two kinds of merits. One is external merit, which is the merit rewarded to us cultivators by the Heavenly Dao for doing things that are beneficial to the Heaven and Earth.

This kind of merit is transformed from the origin of heaven and earth. If you absorb it, it will be of great benefit to you and will not cause any harm. But after all, it is not your own thing, but someone else's thing. Since it is someone else's thing, what's wrong with giving it up?

If I get it, I'm lucky, if I lose it, it's my fate. What's more, it didn't just disappear, but became something I wanted more.

This is the greatest benefit to me. If I can't even repair the earth veins, I won't care too much about merit."

Guangchengzi seemed to understand a little, but he also admitted that what Zhunti said was very true.

After all, he has seven golden wheels of merit on his body, six of which are the merits of running reincarnation. They carry countless dead souls and cannot be used easily, otherwise these dead souls will surely be destroyed.

Therefore, the only merit he could really mobilize was the merit of saving the West.

It was a waste for him to use six golden wheels of merit to carry the souls of the dead. After all, even if these souls were dead, they had nothing to do with him, and the heaven could not punish him.

But Guangchengzi still did so.

There was no other reason, it was just his wish. He felt that these dead souls had a connection with the Yin-Yang Ancestor in his previous life, so he took action to save them. His mentality was similar to that of Zhunti.

It is like an immortal above the nine heavens seeing a mortal in trouble. If he wants to save him, he will save him. If he doesn’t want to save him, he won’t. It all depends on his heart.

However, Zhunti's action was compassionate, while Guangchengzi's action was casual. Even if there are similarities, they are different.

But Zhunti hadn't finished speaking yet, so Guangchengzi asked again, "May I ask Uncle Zhunti, what is the other kind of merit?"
