Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 22: Cutting out the heart and bones!
Chapter 22: Cutting out the heart and bones!
Harry had long known that Peeves was not a good person.
This ghost particularly likes to play tricks on people and especially likes to go against them.
"Acquaintances? There are no acquaintances here!" Percy said angrily. "They are just freshmen--"
"Really?" Peeves came straight to Harry. "Potter, don't you want to say hello to your old friend?"
"Peeves!" Percy warned loudly, "Harry is only a first-year student, don't harass him!"
"A first-year student?" Peeves seemed to have heard a joke. He held his stomach and laughed. "Oh, I will never forget this face in my life, Potter..."
"You should know my father, James." Harry spread his hands and then drew his wand.
"You don't expect to be able to repel Peeves with a spell, do you?" Percy asked in surprise. "To be honest, everyone is looking for a way to hit Peeves with a spell, and you've obviously seen that - so far there hasn't been any."
However, something Percy didn't expect happened. The moment Peeves saw Harry pull out his wand and point it at him, he pulled his tie and ran away screaming.
"Maybe it will work." Harry shrugged.
Percy opened his mouth, now feeling that the atmosphere was a bit awkward.
"Maybe he has something else to do." He could only explain: "Next time you encounter Peeves playing pranks on you, try not to irritate him. To be honest, you should be on guard against Peeves."
Percy led everyone forward. "I don't recommend you try Harry's method. I recommend you use the name of the Bloody Baron to scare him. After all, the Bloody Baron is the only one who can subdue him. He won't even listen to us, the prefects. Here we are."
There is a portrait hanging at the end of the corridor. In the portrait, a very rich woman is wearing pink clothes.
"Password?" she asked in a calm voice.
"Dragon scum." Percy replied.
The painting was seen swaying forward, revealing a circular hole in the wall.
They all crawled through the hole in the wall, but Neville was a little clumsy and needed someone to help him get in.
After crawling through the narrow entrance, they suddenly found themselves in the Gryffindor common room.
It was a cosy circular room filled with plush armchairs and decorated with gold and red accessories on the walls and elsewhere - the standard Gryffindor colours.
Percy began to assign rooms to the new students: "Those whose names are called will live together for the rest of your school life - Ron Weasley, Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, and Seamus Finnigan."
The four people whose names were called looked at each other, but there was no objection.
After Percy finished dividing the dormitories for boys and girls, he continued, "The school's rule is that boys are not allowed to enter the girls' dormitories."
"What if a girl enters the boys' dormitory?" Seamus asked loudly, "Doesn't the school have any rules?"
"I'm sorry, no," Percy said helplessly.
However, Fred and George said in unison behind him: "Why ask? You will take your own consequences——"
In response, Percy slapped them with a book, and the two clones fled the common room with laughter. "Come on, let's go back." Neville said first, still holding his Rifle in his hand.
"You're not afraid of spoiling it," said Seamus. "I see you're holding your toad all the time. Is he really not afraid of the heat?"
"I was afraid he'd run away," Neville answered honestly, "I looked for him all day on the train. Alas..."
They returned to the dormitory. Neville put away the toad in his hand, and Seamus started talking.
"I'm half and half," Seamus said, sitting on the head of the bed, one leg swinging back and forth. "Dad's a Muggle, and Mum didn't tell Dad she was a witch until after she got married - it scared him a lot."
Everyone laughed. Harry rubbed his eyes and said, "It's normal for Muggles not to believe in magic. For example, my uncle is very resistant to magic. Even if I perform magic in front of him, he refuses to believe it."
"Oh, I think he's deceiving himself," Seamus said, crossing his arms.
He turned back and asked, "What about you, Neville?"
"My grandmother brought me up." Neville looked a little distressed. "My grandmother is a witch. I heard from her that my parents were also wizards. It's a pity that they are sick and have been hospitalized in St. Mungo's Hospital since I can remember."
"But then again, my family has treated me as a Muggle for so many years, and my Uncle Algie always tried to catch me off guard and force me to show my magic skills - he once pushed me off the Black Lake Pier and almost drowned me, but nothing happened."
"Until I was eight years old, and one day my Uncle Algie came over for tea, and he dangled me from an upstairs window by the ankles, and my Aunt Annie was handing him a piece of cake. He lost his grip on me, and I bounced off the ground - across the garden and into the road. They were all so happy, and Aunt Annie even cried for joy."
"If you could have seen the look on their faces when I got the letter of acceptance, you see, they thought I wasn't good enough in magic to go to this school...My Uncle Algie was so happy that he bought me a toad."
Neville started to tell his classmates about his experiences as if a chatterbox had been opened. After listening to Neville's experiences, Harry suddenly felt that there might be a reason why the wizarding world did not come to save him from the dire situation for so many years.
Look at Neville. His uncle treated him like this, even pushing him off the dock and throwing him off the second floor...
"What disease do your parents have?" Seamus asked with concern.
"He was tortured by the Cruciatus Curse and couldn't wake up." Neville said in a low voice.
"Sorry, Neville." Seamus didn't expect to find out about someone else's sad story.
Cruciatus Curse?
Harry had learned it before, with Sebastian, and had used it on Valatea more than once.
The feeling of having one's heart pierced and one's bones gouged out is indeed unpleasant, not only for the victim, but also for the soul of the caster.
"Ah, I remember!" Ron smacked his palm with his fist, then realized that mentioning Neville's parents' names would be another torture for his friend, so he changed the subject halfway and said to Harry: "Harry, I remembered you had some snacks in your bag..."
"Oh, I would have forgotten if you hadn't mentioned it." Harry pulled out the suitcase from under the bed and said to the three of them, "I bought a lot of snacks in the Muggle world. Please have a try -"
He also urgently needed to change the subject with Ron; the memories left by the Cruciatus Curse were not very pleasant.
Neville did say he was a Muggle, not a Squib.
"Well, my gran brought me up and she's a witch," said Neville, "but the family thought I was all-Muggle for ages."
