Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy

Chapter 21 Peeves' Discovery

Chapter 21 Peeves' Discovery
Harry didn't care about Snape's reaction. After all, in his understanding, Slytherins were all contrasting. For example, Omnis was the typical person who appeared cold on the outside but was warm on the inside - while Sebastian was warm on the outside but cold on the inside.

And Snape, as the old snake king of the Serpent Court, is also the most contrasting one - makes sense, right?
He lowered his head and looked at the food in front of him again.

It was noon when he was eating snacks in the car, but he was actually already hungry.

By the time he finished the steak on his plate, the food on the table in front of him had transformed into a variety of small desserts.

The British cannot lose afternoon tea and after-meal desserts, just as the 3D zone cannot lose Tifa.

If you have to choose between the two, afternoon tea is more important.

In the end, even the dessert disappeared from the table.

Professor Dumbledore stood up again and silence returned to the restaurant.

"Oh, now that everyone has eaten and drank enough, I want to say a few more words to you. At the beginning of the semester, I want to put forward a few things to pay attention to."

"First-year students, please note that no student is allowed to enter the woods on campus. Some of our senior students should also remember this."

Dumbledore's shining eyes glanced towards the Weasley twins through his half-moon glasses.

The meaning is very clear. When I say "old classmates", I'm not referring to anyone else, I'm referring to you two problem teenagers!

The Gryffindor students, along with the headmaster, stared at the Weasley twins.

After all, most of the points that Gran got were deducted by the twins.

"Also, Mr. Filch, the caretaker, asked me to remind everyone not to perform magic in the corridors during class breaks."

Filch was standing not far away holding a red-eyed cat. When he heard Dumbledore's voice, he made a nasal "te".

"In addition, the review of Quidditch players will be held in the second week of this semester. Students who are interested in joining the college team should contact Madam Hooch, the professor of flying class."

"Finally, I must tell everyone that anyone who does not want to suffer an accident and die in pain should not enter the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor."

Harry laughed, the kind that he couldn't help laughing.

To be honest, there was no place in Hogwarts that he had not been to. Even the Slytherin study, he had the honor of visiting it with Willatia.

But the process wasn’t so good.

"He's not serious?" Harry whispered to Percy.

"Impossible," said Percy, frowning at Dumbledore. "It's strange that he usually gives us reasons why he doesn't allow us to go somewhere. For example, there are many dangerous beasts in the woods. We all know that - I think he should at least make it clear to our prefects."

"It's clear that Headmaster Dumbledore has his own little secrets." Harry whispered to Percy, "Perhaps one that he doesn't want others to know."

"That makes sense." Percy nodded in understanding.

"Now, before we go to bed, let's sing the school song together!" Dumbledore said loudly, but Harry found that the smiles of the other teachers seemed to freeze.

Dumbledore flicked his wand, and a long golden ribbon flew out of the wand, twisting and coiling like a snake above the high dining table, forming lines of text.

"Each of you choose a tune of your choice," said Dumbledore. "Ready—sing!"

Then all the teachers and students sang loudly:

"Hogwarts, Hogwarts..."

Since the song had no fixed tune, everyone sang it in their own relaxed voice, regardless of whether it was in tune or not. The whole hall became a messier place than Knockturn Alley, and Harry immediately understood why the professors present had such expressions.

He thought of what the Sorting Hat had said, that Dumbledore had been admitted the year after he disappeared, which meant that he had also been tortured by Phineas Black.

Perhaps this was revenge for having to rehearse the chorus to a different tune every year at school, Harry thought, but he swore that he would rather rehearse the chorus to a single tune with Phineas than go through this torture.

At the end, only the Weasley twins continued to sing along to the slow strains of The Funeral March.

Dumbledore conducted the last few bars for both of them with his wand, and when they had finished he applauded loudest.

"Music," he said, wiping his eyes, "is more charming than anything we do here! It's time to go to bed, everyone, go back to the dormitory."

The prefects of each grade stood up, and the freshmen of each college followed Hufflepuff's prefect Gabriel Truman, Ravenclaw's prefect Penelope Clearwater, Slytherin's prefect Gemma Farley and Gryffindor's prefect Percy Weasley, and walked to their respective lounges.

As the Slytherin team and the Gryffindor team crossed paths, Harry noticed the dejected Draco.

It must be because of the twenty points deducted in advance. After all, the Malfoy family cannot be said to have absolute power in Slytherin.

He couldn't have done it even if his last name was Gaunt.

Gemma Farley is a beautiful Slytherin beauty, but she now has a stern face and seems to be very annoyed that Malfoy was deducted points by his own head of house.

It is easy to imagine how serious a mistake he had made, as he was deducted points by the dean of his own college, who always favored his own school.

"Harry, did you see that?" Ron said to Harry, "Look at Malfoy's face. He looks as bad as if he had eaten shit!"

"He deserves it," said Harry with equal glee.

After walking a few steps, the person in front suddenly stopped.

Ahead of them, a bundle of canes floated in midair, with Percy just a step away from the ones behind.

The people behind stopped walking for fear of bumping into Percy.

This series of effects is like a domino effect, you hit me and I hit you.

"It's Peeves," Percy whispered to the first years. "A ghost who loves to play pranks."

He raised his voice again: "Peeves - show yourself."

He was answered by a loud, piercing popping sound, like the air being deflating from a balloon.

"You want me to go find the Bloody Baron?" Percy threatened.

With a puff, a funny-looking dwarf ghost suddenly appeared. He was wearing brightly colored clothes and a top hat. Just from his appearance, you could tell that he was definitely not a good person.

Unlike Percy's expectation, Peeves did not cause trouble right away. Instead, he looked at the new students in the crowd as if he had discovered a new continent.

"Peeves! They're just first-year students! If you play any more pranks on me, I'll go find the Bloody Baron right now—"

Percy's threat had no effect at all. Peeves flew up and down and landed above Harry's head.

"The great Peeves seemed to see a familiar face—"
