Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy

Chapter 39 Cassandra's Letter

Chapter 39 Cassandra's Letter
"Cool!" Ron's eyes lit up. "Can I?"

"Why not?" Harry shrugged.

Children of this age are most easily assimilated by the people around them.

Under the subtle influence of Harry and Hermione, Ron also put away the carefree character he had at the beginning of the school year.

What's more, for a little wizard like Ron's age, he may not be interested in learning Potions or Transfiguration - but if you ask him to learn some minor evil spells, he will be very motivated.

Just think how nice it would be to be able to throw a few curses at Malfoy's nasty face.

"But we seem to need a suitable place to practice spells," Hermione said worriedly, "Magic is not allowed in the Gryffindor common room..."

"I'll take care of it," said Harry.

In order to avoid attracting attention, Harry chose to explore the dungeon the next day.

Ron and Hermione also had a perfect excuse - to find a suitable place to practice spells.

While his classmates were attending the banquet in the hall, Harry slipped downstairs to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom as if he was familiar with the place and found the entrance to the crypt.

The entrance to the crypt is something like a cabinet with four clock-like dials on the door. You need to align the pointers in the set direction before you can enter the crypt through the cabinet.

He drew out his wand and fiddled with the pointer as Sebastian had taught him.

When all four pointers pointed in the right direction, the entrance door slammed open.

Harry stepped in, and with the familiar spinning of the world, he was transported into the dungeons.

The crypt looked as if no one had been in it for years, at least that was what Harry thought, and the whole room was covered with thick dust.

He had to pick up his scarf and wrap it around his nose to avoid choking on the dust raised by walking.

In fact, he could have used a new spell to clean it up, but Harry was worried that he would clean up some clues in the process, so he did not use this spell.

The crypt is called the crypt because it is located at the very bottom of the black magic defense tower, with only a few dim rays of light escaping through the skylight above.

Harry took out his wand and lit the brazier and torches.

Then, he slowly walked to the desk beside him.

There was a thick layer of dust on the desk, and Harry had to use his wand to brush it aside.

To his delight, there was a letter on the desk, and judging by the handwriting, it should be from Cassandra.

He took out the letter, but the erosion of time had already made the words on the paper blurred.

After some careful identification, Harry finally saw what was written on it.

"I think Grindelwald is really crazy. Time is a forbidden magic, a forbidden existence that even Merlin would not touch. When she comes out of the cottage where she and Potter love, I hope you can persuade that love-obsessed girl to understand that ancient magic is not omnipotent.

——CC Malfoy"

Harry's heart suddenly rose.

Time magic?

Could it be that...after he disappeared, Veratia was experimenting with some kind of time magic, trying to find him?

He held the letter from Cassandra in his hand, his mind feeling dizzy.

If this is true as Cassandra said, then Veratia may have failed - and the consequences were serious. This is why there is only the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in this century, and no news of his sister has ever been heard.

Given her personality, she would not ignore her family.

Then it is very likely...she is trapped somewhere.

Could it be the map chamber? Harry noticed Cassandra's sarcastic words. The so-called "love hut" was Cassandra's name for the map chamber, because only the inheritors of ancient magic could enter the chamber freely.

Harry put the letter in his pocket, and his determination to get the object became more determined.

As early as when he was in the vault, his intuition told him that with the help of the things in the cloth bag, he could break through the age limit and awaken ancient magic.

Since it belonged to the headmaster, Harry thought, maybe... he could talk to the headmaster?

Now that the target was clear and there was a clue, Harry put the matter aside for the time being.

He found several thick books on dueling skills from the collection in the dungeon, put them into a small pocket cast with a traceless stretch spell, and then quietly left the dungeon.

He had no plans to go back into the dungeon for the time being. After all, he wasn't experimenting with some dark magic with Sebastian, so there was nothing shameful about it.

So, if you want to practice dueling, you should go to the Room of Requirement.

After returning from the crypt, Harry went back to the Gryffindor common room and placed the book in front of Hermione who was checking Ron's homework.

"Here, you're wrong here." Hermione pointed at the mistakes in the homework and corrected them seriously like a little teacher.

"Oh." Ron said honestly.

Noticing Harry's return, he instantly changed the subject.

"Harry? You're back? Did you find it? Oh, Hermione checked your homework and marked all the mistakes. She left it there."

Harry looked in the direction Ron was pointing and sure enough, he saw his homework.

This was his and Ron's request to Hermione, the top student, to check his and Ron's homework in her free time - but Hermione sternly rejected Ron's request to copy homework, and used "what else can you learn in that case" as the reason for the refusal, which made Ron give up that unrealistic idea.

"Harry only has some omissions in his History of Magic homework, Ronald!" Hermione glared at Ron like a lioness: "And you, Ronald, look at your mistake! How many times have I told you! It's leviosa, not leviosar!"

"Oh." Ron puffed his cheeks and lowered his head in frustration.

"I found it." Harry helped Ron change the subject, "We'll go there later. This is the book I found there."

"Outline of Nineteenth Century Dueling, Harmless Little Curses..." Hermione held the books, her eyes sparkling: "Oh my God, Harry, I have never seen these books in the library..."

"How do you know these books aren't in the library?" Harry asked automatically.

As a result, Hermione looked at him with a very serious look.

Harry understood what he meant and thought, "Don't ask too much about the top student's affairs."

Then I saw Hermione open the book "Harmless Little Curses".

She just took a look and quickly closed the book as if she had seen a ghost.

"Christ, you call that a 'harmless little curse'?" she growled.
