Chapter 60 Family Secrets
Chapter 60 Family Secrets (Please read later)
"Your grandfather has never heard your great-grandfather talk about the specific details." Lucius tapped the table with his fingers, and the house elf immediately came forward to refill his tea. "Part of the reason is the operation of the goblins, so the Malfoy family also promised to try not to mention Cassandra."
"Does the Malfoy family have to fear those goblins?" Draco looked at his father in disbelief.
"No, little dragon." Lucius said in a gentle voice: "If the goblin didn't show enough sincerity, how could the Malfoy family agree to such a request? Besides, your grandfather once mentioned to me that it is said that the Malfoy family agreed to the goblin just to go with the flow. In fact, the real reason is that Cassandra stole the Merlin secret treasure inherited from the family, so your great-grandfather was furious and removed her from the Malfoy family tree."
"Why?" Draco asked in confusion: "Why did she do this? Where is she now?"
"I don't know. I just heard that she was absent-minded during that period, and she kept talking about that bastard every day... Since then, she has disappeared." Lucius reached out and picked up the teacup. "But your great-grandfather left a will before he died. If Cassandra is found by us, we must let her return to the Malfoy family... Ha, how is this possible? After so many years, maybe she has already died."
"Maybe she is still alive? Otherwise why would my great-grandfather say that?" Draco asked hesitantly. He always felt that Cassandra should still be alive.
"That's because Cassandra is his favorite little sister." Lucius said, "People can never accept the departure of their loved ones."
Draco nodded in understanding.
"Tell me about your classmates." Lucius asked casually, "Let's not talk about Slytherin. Let's talk about that boy named Poter, the one who defeated the Dark Lord."
After hearing his father's words, Draco began to tell his parents everything about how he met Harry.
When he mentioned calling Hermione a 'mudblood' on the train, Lucius and Narcissa's faces turned very ugly.
"Perhaps you should really pay attention to your friends around you, little dragon." Lucius said in a low voice: "It is true that we don't like Muggle-born wizards, but a person with good family education would not say this to others face to face. It will bring shame to our entire family."
"Yes, father." Draco apologized quickly: "I was wrong."
He also talked about Harry's level of spells, especially his wonderful duel with Miss Farley.
"Jemma from the Farley family?" Lucius nodded thoughtfully. "She is a good young person, and her spell skills are not inferior to those of adults. So are you saying that Harry Pott, a first-year student, can crush her and win in a wizard duel?"
(Miss Farley, with a bit of a hell filter)
"Yes, father." Draco straightened his back after being looked at by his father. "I saw the duel with my own eyes. Before that, Pott had already defeated Marcus Flint and several of his friends."
Lucius was silent. He thought for a moment, looked at his wife, and then said to Draco, "I see. Perhaps you should try to make friends with Pott instead of being hostile to him. If you open your eyes, you will find that Miss Farley may have already contacted him."
"But, father." Draco frowned and said, "Beside Pott are the shame of the pure-blood family of Weasley and the mud... Muggle-born..."
"Draco?" Lucius raised his eyebrows and said in an aural tone, "What did I just say?"
"Yes, father." Draco said quickly: "Malfoy family, interests come first."
Lucius's brows relaxed, and seeing that his son had understood the spirit, he added another sentence.
“At the same time, family comes first.”
……
When Harry and Ron arrived at the Granger family, they were warmly welcomed by their family.
Mr. Granger was also a very good person. Even when dealing with the two children, he was not arrogant like an adult. His words and deeds made people feel warm and comfortable. Harry and Ron had a very satisfying dinner. Ron, in particular, was a little reserved at first, but he stopped pretending after dinner started. He was now slumped in his chair and groaning.
"Who wants any more pudding?" asked Mrs. Granger as she walked into the dining room with the pudding.
"Not until I unbuckle my belt, dear," said Mr. Granger weakly, leaning back in his chair.
"Mine is already untied." Harry also leaned back in his chair.
It is not easy to eat such delicious food in England.
"I had already pulled it out when the caramelized potatoes and grilled lamb chops came up." Ron weakly lifted his belt and praised with emotion: "Aunt Granger's cooking skills are really good, much better than my mother..."
"Okay gentlemen." Mrs. Granger put down the pudding helplessly and said to them, "Why don't you go to the living room first and leave this to me."
"You mean, stand up?" Mr. Granger asked, looking up.
"I don't think I can stand up." Harry tried to move towards the chair, but he failed.
"I'm not wearing a belt," Ron said simply and understandably.
"Men..." Hermione looked at the three men and shook her head helplessly.
Under the hospitality and invitation of the Granger family, Ron and Harry had no choice but to stay in their house.
"Even if you leave, you'll be returning to the castle anyway, right?" These were Mr. Granger's exact words.
A program was buzzing on the TV, and Ron stared at it for a long time with great interest. It was the first time he had come into contact with such a thing.
"These are really troubled times..." Mr. Granger seemed to be reading the news. "I think I should go to the bank to borrow some rubles and then exchange them for pounds. What do you think, dear?"
The latter sentence was addressed to Mrs. Granger.
"It's up to you." Mrs. Granger leaned over and kissed Mr. Granger on the cheek.
"Then it's settled." Mr. Granger turned to Harry and Ron and said, "Gentlemen, I happen to be going to the bank tomorrow. I can take you to... the Leaky Cauldron on the way. Do you want to come with me?"
"Okay, Uncle Granger, thank you," said Harry.
He asked Hermione again: "Hermione, do you want to come with us?"
"I won't go." Hermione spread her hands and said, "I still have to sort out Christmas presents at home. Oh my God... I suddenly remembered that I still have to prepare presents for the professors. I don't know if the owls can bear it."
After Hermione said this, Harry also remembered.
Yes, what should we give to professors?
